i agree totally
y stop there
maybe like Petr Cechs injury
there is none of that in PES
(hope u get better soon) like Eduardo Da Silva's injury
Cadburyho and Jester i agree

you know if konami included all their original features and added the injuries, i wouldnt hesitate to call it the best football game ever (at that time lol). i would absolutely love it. it would be so realistic, and when you get frustrated with a player you could just ram him into a post haha

nah im joking but that would just top it off for me as far as realism is concerned, and yeah i rekon there should blood, and the players should lay on the floor for ages until the medics came on, and yeah the whole team should surround him to see if hes ok. heck there could even be a punch up if one of the players feel the other was in the wrong or what ever.

basically it would just be so good if it ever happened, so konami if you ever read this FUCKING ADD IT INTO PES 2009!!!

Then don't create a "new player". Changing the Special Abilities is a MUST for any next gen Football game. 100% agree with 'Original?'. And by the way, Penalty, Sliding Tackle, Marking, etc, etc.. - are all individual techniques, and they should all be individual stats.

Don't create a new player? So you're saying you want complicated stats at the expense of accessability for 95% of people who play the game?

Say if I wanted to create myself, (I don't like it though, but I know some people who do create themselves or friends) or maybe I want to create a player who is not on the game, like on PES5 I created Daniel Agger when Liverpool signed him, or even the Sheff Wed team, I'm not allowed to because they've made a labrynth of statistics whereupon perfect knowledge of who you're creating (and a shedload of patience) is the only way of getting the best effect. Seriously, that would only appease the hardcore fanboys if that was added.

Also, if you had such a complex, to a point where it's like the lovechild of Football Manager and Wisden, you are going to deter a hell of a lot people than you are going to attract.

And finally, I think Konami would rather buy Northern Rock than spend all their time judging 100 different stats for hundreds of different players. That's just a guess though.

My suggestion: get rid of the Special Ability bit, and introduce some new stats, but not too many. And when you're creating a player, you have the option to do a simpler method, where say it's grouped into a few groups, like Dribbling would cover both Dribble Accuracy and Dribble Speed and Passing Power could cover Long Pass Power and Short Pass Power. Therefore you can make a player without giving up your life, but those who want to see a little stat bar for every aspect of PES is happy.

Anyway, my 10 suggestions.

1. Re-introduce goalkeepers.
2. Give defenders at least some sense of positioning
3. Handball rule
4. Easier editing. Actually, editing that was the same as PS2 editing, on that you could make a good attempt at team's kits without having to be sad enough to scan stuff.
5. The Premiership team licenses NOT to cover two middle-table teams who aren't particularly good.
6. Some lifespan to Master League.
7. Improved online play (both the lag improved and rewards for being crap teams like Real Madrid)
8. Music that's not so unbearable that I don't have to mute the TV (although it does mean I get good use of my new DAB Digital Radio)
9. The COM to use tactics to combat your's.
10. More than 4 different tricks. And that's counting the one where you lift the ball up in the air by going down then up on the right stick.

1.more intense contact between players
2.blood and nasty injuries
3.better defensive response to speedy wingers
4.keepers that can taunt
5.unique chants of each club and country
6.referee to be a solid figure for realistic ball deflection
7.real stadium for each club and country
8.real face of each player
9.more international leagues
10. better management mode

Last but not least, currently the ML can be boring at times because invariably the same team will occupy the same top spots. Eg. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool & MU. But since we are playing the ML for many years ahead it does not necessarily mean that these team will continue to occupy the high positions. I would like to see minnows eg Derby, Sunderland becoming a powerhouse through some complicated programming where they are bestowed with some great classic players in the course of ML competition. Over the course of 10 or 20 seasons, I would love to see a major transformation. Eg. Arsenal dropping to Div 2,
MU languishing at the bottom of Div 2 due to poor succession of great players. ML can only get better.

THAT HAPPEND WITH ME. i had 5 "big" teams in my pes 6 league and chelsea and barcelona both got relegated in like 2023 or somin and olypiakos and excelcior were my main rivals.

Well Newcastle keep making Europe on my game, that's the equivalent of Derby winning the title, surely?

3) better master league calender
4) (maybe) all national teams from every country in fifa (doesn't matter to me if licensed or not}

German league should make a comeback, doubt any of the others would appear, no-one other leagues are likely to be on PES for several years.

I would love the Championship on PES, but I have given up that hope. On PES2009 I might try and make Sheffield Wednesday.

it's kind of happening in my season right now 2013.. Arsenal are languishing in 13th place, Blackburn is in 2nd, Liverpool 3rd and Chelsea is fighting for a European spot. (I'm using Man Utd and am in 1st).

In the other leagues, Bayern Munich was dominating but now PSV and Ajax are threatening, Ajax won the title last season.

Real Madrid and Barca were dominating the other league, however, Athletico Madrid has broken their strong hold and is fighting both for top spot.

In my Serie A, it's still both Milan's, Juve and Roma with Udinese making a strong push.

As more and more stars from the past are being signed, things are shaking up.

But I do agree, I remember when a couple of big clubs got relegated to Division 3 in the old Winning Eleven/PES games. In one, I think it was Pro Evo 1, Parma had 0 wins 2 draws and 13 losses before winning 15 straight in the 2nd half of the season.

Playing on top player is becoming too easy. I remember when I used to be scared of 6 star matches.

I think including blood means the game automatically has to be rated 15. That's a good sized chunk of the market gone...

Plus, it would really ruin the flow of the game if you had to wait for medics to come on while a player is performing their amateur dramatics. It's bad enough waiting for the ref to blow his whistle for a FK. You'd watch it the first time and always skip it after that.

Looks like I will be going to FIFA09 this year.

The thing thats annoying. Konami have the ingredients to make a great/fantastic PES game but they are so lazy. I absolutely loved Euro2008 and i begin to wonder

"This will be what FIFA09 will be like only with club teams aswell"

no one who loves pes would ever go to fifa. yh maybe play it round a mates house or (though i never will) actually buy it but to buy fifa INSTEAD of pro evo! ok thats too far. ill admit 2008 was a flat game that droped down from pes 6 but it was worth buying and i cant see how anyone would seriously consider fifa. i mean fifa is sooo ucking slow it a joke. fifa know their gameplay is wack so they throw cash and their big dicks at licences to take out the market.

The thing with fifa is, would you buy it if it had the same licences as pes? the answer for the most part is no. and personally, im no goon or anything, but part of the fun is editing the teams to get them rite. when you've edited most of the stuff you want to it just feels so satisfying. i have to due to the 360 aswell.

I would choose the ML over fifas leagues any day of the week. "oooo wow, i get to play in the Australian league. oooo, i get to play in the J league". lets be fuking honest who the hell is actually queer enough to bother to sit down and play those leagues with crap gameplay. no1!! with the master league you can hand pick you entire league and the others which is great. granted it may not be 'official' but who gives a flying fuk. with all the players on fifa just as good as eachother, transfer windows are utter crap cos you could sign PELE and he would be barely better than Senderos.

Its true what most people say. "FIFA is a childrens game". All it has to offer is its officialty which for people who know nothing about football instantly go for whereas the true footy fans and gaming fans out there know pro evo will ALWAYS be no1. i myself used to be a FIFA fanboy but for the past 5 years ive turned around about 10 of my m8s into likeing pes instead and now none of them can stand FIFA now they've experianced fast flowing footy.

Fifa maybe slow but its not realistic slow its just plain dull slow. ask Ronaldo to sprint the legnth of a pitch and i bet pes 2008 would be closer to his finnishing time than fifa would if you did the same on each game. all fifa wannabees should just leave this site cos no matter how over rated this game may well turn out to be licences can only get you so far on fifa and you'll all come crawling back

muzza you are so right with that post i admit i bought both FIFA08 and EURO 08 (edit big mistakes and waste of money), i love soccer games but my heart is 100% pro evo, the A-League will never justify i all round crap game, i mean plzz im ozzie our league is like 6 division EPL....

FIFA is just so crap, that even if we get another rushed or not perfect game like PES08 its still way more playable than that deuschebag game that is made in Canada (soccer capital of the world) and changes programmers and developers every year...

Japan isn't exactly the soccer capital either though...

PES used to be brilliant "back in the day". Back in the days of PES3. Hell i still play that game now. Ever since PES6 came out everything went slightly downhill. Konami would need to pull off something special this year, i still play PES2008 but i prefer FIFA08.

Why?. It's the AI in PES2008 that puts me off, every time i play a game the scores gaurenteed to be at least 7-4. I can even win 6-0 on Top Player, 5mins. There were a few advantages from this version which was OK.

I love PES I really do, but at the moment i feel FIFA has more to offer than PES2008. The new FIFA09 looks good, The new PES? looks pretty much the same really. I just hope they sort out the AI because thats what has let PES2008 down this year.
