Hey man thanks for replying, how do you find out the CD/DVD Drive name and model number.
And my specs are:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz
Memory (Ram): 3.00 GB
System Type: 32-bit Operating System

And in the drop down box it does not show the option Bus Relations.
Any other ideas man?

Can you provide a screenshot of the Details tab for the Secondary IDE controller when the dropdown box is open? (Print Screen, paste into a new image using Paint or Photoshop, save and then upload via ImageShack)

Basically, I think the transfer system your CD or DVD drive is using is causing problems, its something I had happen years and years ago when I suddenly couldn't install certain games properly - the transfer mode was causing corrupted installations whereby files couldn't be verified as they hadn't copied across correctly.

Right sorry im a little confused, is the second controller the one that says:
Intel(R) ICH9 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 2 - 2926

If that is the one then it does have the option for bus relations, because i clicked on a different one earlier, if not then which one is the second?

If it is the second then here is a screen shot of it opened like you asked.

Cheers man

By the way when i click Bus Relations on that second IDE controller This is what it shows:
General Tab:

Driver Tab

Details Tab:

Resources Tab:

Just though i'd post this incase it helps.

That's not the one. What are the other controllers within the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers section? Screenshot preferable.

You've gone to the right place but that controller won't give you the sort of information you're after. I have three Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controllers which are variants to the one you've selected but that is in addition to three Primary IDE Controllers and three Secondary IDE Controllers - it is these which four of my five drives are connected to (one Primary, three Secondary).

If we simply can't get this section of it sorted, change all of them to PIO, see if the game installs and then change them back to what they were before. It'll cripple the performance of your hard drive but will also allow us to know for sure whether this resolves your problem or not so at least we are making progress despite it not seeming as such.

Thanks again mate, thats the print screen of all my controllers that it is showing, that you asked for.
And that post you said above, could you please explain in more detail, i dont mean to be a pain its just im not fully understanding what i have to do.

Right, see the ones called "IDE Channel"? Its those that you want to look at the Properties page of. That should allow you to continue with my initial instructions which will bring back memories of what I mean by changing the transfer mode to PIO.

PIO stands for Programmed Input/Output while DMA mode, which is faster, stands for Direct Memory Access. There's also Ultra DMA which is faster and used in all recent hard drives. Some (usually older) CD and DVD drives encounter issues when using anything other than PIO.

Its the fourth IDE Channel man, but when i click on advanced setting, there is nothing that says change the transfer mode to PIO.
This is all there is:

Right, if you were to disable DMA mode it'd switch to PIO. Just make sure, via Bus Relations, you're only doing this for the CD/DVD drive(s) and not the hard drive. If you can't make the distinction, do it for all (both?) channels, try to install the game (hopefully successfully - could take excruciatingly long due to the hard drive working at a ridiculously slow speed), and then tick the "Enable DMA" box for all (both?) channels again.

Two but one of them is illegal and we can't discuss warez on the forum so you'd need to PM me.

That aside, create a directory on your desktop if your drive is big enough to copy the entire CD/DVD contents to that folder and, assuming it'll copy correctly and won't give an error, run the Setup from the hard drive.

Right well could you please send me a pm of the illegal way, and how to i copy all the contents to that folder that i create?

Just copy by dragging the folders and files from the CD into the folder on your desktop. PM coming your way.

Ok thanks dude, ive copied and pasted all the files that were on the disc and put it into a new folder on my desktop called PES 2009.

Thanks for the PM man, the copying to a new folder seems the best way, do you think it will deffinetly work, and if i use this way, will i need to have the disc in the machince whilst i install it.
Again thank you for all your help, i have to go now, so have a Happy new year man :D

It may not work this way but keep the CD in the drive just in case and hope for the best. With all the files copied over there shouldn't be a problem but I'm sure I've discovered issues with this method previously.

Happy New Year to you too.

This is my first year playing the game on the PC and so far it's been amazing; I'm never going back to the console ever again. I am however having a problem.

I picked up another 360 controller to play two player with my mates, but I can not get the second controller to register in-game. It's connected properly to the USB dongle and lite up as player two, but at the controller select screen only the first player is able pick home or away.

I can't imagine that the pc version of the game doesn't have offline multiplayer. What am I missing?
