Considering I never really tried scoring FK's on 08 or 09, I haven't bothered this time around either. I figure I could go on Youtube and look for ways to pretty much score 90% of the time when in a certain area, but then I'd rather keep things fair.

So, I win a FK 25 yards out, don't bother shooting from it, and leave things to Mr. Trezeguet.

I love the fact you can use L1 & swerve now!

I agree the freekicks are a lot better than 09...I like the new corner kick view as well & the fact defenders go up for corners. Pique :D

Couldn't you swerve the ball ridiculously in PES and Fifa for PS2 by using shoulder buttons? how does it feel this year? I won't be getting Fifa but don't hate it, still interested in the design aspects.

the game looks real good. Off the top of my head, here are my good points and bad points:

Good Points
-Advantage Rule
-Free kicks (low drives, etc.)
-Players no longer getting in the way of passes
-Showing of the team kits pre-match
-some new commentary dialogue
-refree earpiece and the toning down of giving out cards
-ball control (bringing the ball down)
-defender clearances
-goalkeeper's kit
-new cleats

Bad Points
-some texts are a bit off (i think they'll still fix this).
-some players don't have a menu shot of their face. Ex. Muniesa, Ben Arfa (I think they'll fix this too).
-the cut back is not as effective as it used to be in 09 (used this a lot)
-still getting use to the player jostling, but looks good when I scored a goal after a very long jostle for the ball

*Well what do you know: more good points than bad. Way 2 go FIFA:D.

That sound decent enough, i'll still stick to sensi though, all the jostling and slow similar shots in last years Fifa really annoyed me :p

the advantage rule is annoying at times even though it's been improved a fair bit.

Earlier I got snapped in two with Messi & because Dani Alves was near the ball it was given as advantage but as soon as I touched the ball with him the other guy slide tackled me & I didn't get a freekick...similar things have happened a few times. IMO that's not a good advantage

I can do them all in the arena (before a match, not with Lampard as he's useless!)

however in a game I find it too hard to pull them off, simply because you're always facing a different direction than you are in the arena & I can't master them yet...

^My problem aswell and also because of responsivness. The game needs to be able to read it faster.

I like how quickly it responds and you can put together more flowing attacks. It still looks almost the same as FIFA 09, not very pretty but I'm not too fussed. Free-kicks are easier as I hit my first two and that's more than I did with 09 in a year. Crosses; some have ridiculous swerve on it.

Best point is that long-distance shooting is actually worth doing now.

-the cut back is not as effective as it used to be in 09 (used this a lot)

You rate that as a bad point?

Right, had a lot of plays and I love it. Feels and looks more realistic (I don't necessarily mean graphics there, just the movement). This is the first time I've played a FIFA demo and enjoyed it from being new to it from the start.

It feels a lot less like FIFA, which my idea of a FIFA game was all looks and no personality, it used to be slow and sluggish, not it's responsive and the shooting from range is awesome, regardless of if you score or not, as it feels like there's some power behind each shot now.

I'd have liked to have some average teams in the game as well, so you don't get this idea that every player in the game will handle the same way.

its good but not great.
players all feel the same and i find something missing something very important, 'satisfaction when you score'. feels a bit flat in that department. it hasn't got me off my chair when i score.

Game is good and i like all the gimmicks and touches.. overall it just aint floating my boat just now.

bit disapointed.

can anyone give tips on how to score in FIFA 10 (other than crosses+free kicks)?...
i really liked the demo... but this is only my second time playing FIFA (played the 09 demo two times since it was released)...
I find it really hard to get passed the opposition even with the finesse ball modifier...

^One twos seems the best way to take on defenders because again. dribbling is not effective enough, even against chicago fire's defence.
