I've so far resisted the urge to quit an online game. I drew 2-2 with a right wing cheesing div 2 player, he was 2-0 up in the 76th minute and I battled back in the 83rd and 86th minute. A player with an overall of 10 for playing up front (Reislach) scored the equaliser from a tap in. On both occassions I hammered the 'Goal' button. Fucking wing cheesers don't like it when shit players score against them!

What annoys me is in BAL when an attacker (from the oppositte team) has the ball and can easily run straight through your team's defence, the defenders do something annoying where they just keep bumping into the back of the player with the ball rather than getting in front of him, allowing them to score a soft goal, GRRRR!!!

I don't know what I find funnier, the part where you described yourself as a "proper" player or the part where you said that it is easy to win with Barcelona; dude, the game is always easy and always revolves around exploiting cheap flaws, the game does not functions if the player does not exploits the cheap flaws: don't hate the player, hate the game.

Honestly, I think it's funny whenever I read about how certain people think they are "proper" players just because they don't use Barcelona all the time, and because they don't exploit all the flaws; it's quite funny how a "noob" by your standards, can beat your ass by playing the game "improperly".

Seriously, some people need to stop looking at PES and FIFA, from the same old perspective, you can and should realize by now just how outdated both franchises are at this point; instead of justifying cheap and old flaws, as exploits that are used by players who do not know how to play the game "properly".

This is why I returned PES11, a noob who does not knows shit about Football, can practise all day long and get the feel for the left analogue stick, can take Barcelona or Real Madrid, can exploit the obvious flaws, and can be tough to beat; I am not entertained by boring and superficial challenges where winning or loosing revolves around which person is better at exploiting obvious flaws.

PES11 is difficult and requires attention in terms of execution, but the substance underneath that execution, is piss poor; a noob whom is good at the execution, can easily take Barcelona, and beat your ass by playing easy 1st-touch Football with one of the best teams in the game; and this is possible because the substance underneath the execution is stupid and insulting.

Execution: without the ball, I direct the left analogue stick in circles, as a result, CR7 starts running in circles.

Substance: the movement without the ball is determined by the movements of the left analogue stick, the movement without the ball is not actually determined by the position and movement of the ball.

This means that the video game is a poor simulation of Football because you cannot actually play Football due to the fact that you cannot possibly affect the SCRIPT of the game, which means that your reactions are essentially pre-determined by the COM.

Example: I see something from my wide view perspectie, and I take a fast player like CR7 and I affect his movement without the ball in accordance to what I can see from my wide view perspective; therefore the movement and position of the ball becomes irrelevant since it does not actually affects or determines the SCRIPT of the game, or in other words, the movement without the ball.

In other words, my reactions are pre-determined by the COM, because what I see from my wide view perspective, which is what will ultimately determine my reactions and movements without the ball, is determined by the COM and cannot be affected or determined by the USER, which means that my reactions without the ball are pre-determined by the COM.

this year Winning Eleven 2011(im from asia) is the MOTHER OF ALL RAGE STARTER......
last time i played online using BARCA against some dude who select REAL. After 86 minutes the score is BARCA 1- REAL 0 but suddenly my superstar bastard PIQUE block his teammate pass and the change direction and went in to his own goal... then at injury time same situation happen but this time he block opponent pass... if this the 1st time i can accept but DEAR GOD!!!! its happen more than 7 times. i end up smashing my DS3 into the floor and need to buy a new one... referee also sucks ... if some idiot ran into me they get free kick!!! many rage maker in this game, just dont want to mention cause it bring back bad memories... and another thing still no patch for R3... thus add up the rage . in asia on9 sucks... even play against ppl from same country lag ...

This is the PES Rage thread, for people who want to rage about something that happened in the game. I was angry, so I raged.

I am a proper player. I consider proper players to be those who don't use cheap tactics, abusing tactics, exploits etc, and maybe those who like to use as many of the large amount of teams as possible. Why stick to just one team all the time???

I usually beat these noobs, hence my record of having over 100 wins and only about 20 defeats, but this guy was pissing me off so much, which made me play worse as a result.

I consider myself to be a skillfull player. I know this, because I often beat the biggest teams with smaller teams. The football I play is decent and varied. I don't play stupid formations, I don't abuse one twos. I don't watch replays or go "Yes" "Goal" "Great Work" after every fucking goal either.

Yet again you go into a rant and rave about the left analogue stick. Same old shit, different thread. If you don't have the game, why do you keep posting? If you wanna stay on the forum, why not stick to the off topic areas instead?

The Barca abuser may have beat me fair and square... in a sense. But like a lot of Barca and Real abusers, he was of the dickhead variety. I even asked him if he would pick a lower team... called me a chav for some reason... therefore - dickhead. Why should people such as myself have to play dickheads all the time? Entertainment and Difficulty, related elements, but different elements: regardless of difficulty, the source of entertainment and substance is the very same with Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid; the only difference is that it is easier to exploit the cheap flaws when you play with Real Madrid, hate the game, not the player.

I do wonder how much of this game is still on the rails, this is the most scripted football game I have ever played and at times it feels like seabass wants to play the game for us. I can pass the ball where i want with manual, the problem is my players movement restricts this. The default pass is almost the same as last year with a pretty swoosh at the bottom to make you "feel" like you have control. I also despise the fact the game is desperate to take over my commands, the cpu has actually scored headers for me which tells me something isn't right. Get rid of the pathetic balancing acts konami, its insulting. I love and hate this game at the same time, I just worry konami think we are mugs.

Well that's my point, the script is the movement without the ball, and we have zero control over the script, and until we do, we have no freedom over the game, because we are not playing football, we are basically following obvious orders which are dictated and determined by the COM.

FACT: you can play 1st-touch football with Barcelona, without ever thinking about what you are doing, because the script works automatically, and all you do is bash buttons in accordance to however the COM decides to move the script; the game is a hundred miles per hour, build up pay is nonexistent.

Adding more directions in terms of passing and in terms of running, will never fix such a fundamental flaw; so yes, I do think Konami thinks we are mugs, because they sold us the idea of freedom, when in fact PES11 is one of the most restricted video games to date, and Konami is well aware of this fact

At times, when I get bored of my defenders sloooow reactions, I decide to release all the buttons, and AUTOMATICALLY.... the COM decides that the defender should steal the ball, the defender tackles and steals the ball away from the ball carrier, and at the time this happened, I was not holding a single button; that's not right is it?

Who really decides when I tackle successfully and when I give away a foul? The game is ON RAILS mainly because the left analogue stick is ON RAILS: the left analogue stick only functions for running from one space to another space, but it does not functions for moving inside one space.

And who decides the distances between players? The COM. And since you cannot move INSIDE one space, it is very easy for the COM to put you on the spot by simply taking away the space you have to run into, and since you cannot move inside one space, since you cannot move without running, this makes it very easy for the COM to manipulate the possession statistics since you do not really have control over dribbling and tackling.

It never really feels like your opponent won the ball by using accuracy and anticipating your movements, it always feels like the COM decided that you or your opponent would win the one-on-one challenge, it feels scripted or pre-determined: the fact is, running from one space into another space is very obvious, even more obvious considering we play the game from a wide view perspective, we need the ability of moving inside spaces.... in order to have more control over the game.

So who decides spot-kicks? successful tackles? the COM decides all this, and you can easily confirm how far this goes by releasing all the buttons, and watching how your defenders AUTOMATICALLY tackle successfully: defenders will steal the ball automatically, give away a corner kicks automatically, give away fouls automatically, etc.

In terms of scripted movement, or bugged movement, or even lazy development from Konami, all these movement flaws undermine the game's gameplay unfortunately.

An example of this is yesterday playing ML with my FC United of Manchester. It was 0-0. I shot on goal from an angle within the box, the keeper saved and the ball deflected off his gloves into the air in the 6 yard box. Now, herein is the problem. I had a man waiting on the edge of the 18 yard box while there was two defenders from the opposing team just yards away from the ball as it fall from the air. They both backed away, meaning my striker waiting just outside the box was able to run in and tap the ball home. Is this rewarding, is this meant to feel great? No. I was quite frankly disgusted and annoyed even that the precious value of scoring had been removed.

This goes on all over the pitch, at least a couple of times a match but the example I've gave is just being told to serve as an extreme of how much the bugged movement affects the gameplay.

Look it is a fact some newcomers and experienced gamers play only to exploit the game wherever they can. Whether it's choosing to play a certain way in repeating a cheap tactic to achieve a goal or choosing only one of the big clubs so as only the can use the super human players like messi or ronaldo.

Timing composure and awareness are important skills required in football., and something that helps you fare well in PES. You the user through timing get to decide if you can successfully dispossess an opponent. And you also have the choice where players are positioned to anticipate where the ball is going or how you would like to construct an attack. It might ''feel'' like the cpu is doing it because you're shit at the game and don't know how to select players when they#re not in possession of the ball. Just because you feel something doesn't make it reality or tie in with logic.

The game forces you to think, and at the same time, it doesnt promote super human individual skill to win you games all the team so your iniesta or xavi isn't going to do laser passes just because you press x. Having a footballing brain is rewarded in this years pes. usually biding your time, stretching the play and then finding your playmaker in space in the middle to create something will yield better results. That's the type of freedom we're given and more team orientated. Sure as I said many times there are flaws within the reaction times and cursor selection. But don't tell me you can't pass the ball where you want now. There is very little ai assistence when passing. Off the ball movement when in possession there could be more freedom given to the user to select where the players off the ball are running to into space.

However you like to exaggerate the flaws and act as if they're game breakers just because you're little bitch that's pretty shit at the game.Btw are you still scared of playing me little girl? I know you're still secretly playing the game while claiming you no longer possess it.

Once you learn to master the pes you'll realise the game itself rewards taking that extra controlled touch, and having a look at your options. As opposed to, abusing first time passes continuously with xavi or trying to run from the centre circle towards goal from kick off with messi. That extra time creates more options as the AI move off the ball. A slower, considered pace incorporating passes back, and to the side, is what opens up so many avenues to work down. . Alot of adhd kids like yourself who are accustom to a pick up and play games will find this frustrating and 'broken', scripted, flawed'' ''simplistic'' to try and pass the game off as below them when in truth its the opposite. The game becomes above you're intellectual comphrension and ability to grasp a particular concept and the whole idea behind a video game.


People like you will concede a conspicuous goal against the AI, then get your arse handed to you on a plate a few times online and get all hot under the collar, then return the game and then come on here bitching about scripting just because you couldnt win.

I dunno, I do find the slide tackling a bit ridiculous on this version. I slid to win the ball cleanly in a recent match and then - bizarrely - the trailing leg caught him after the ball had gone and a foul was awarded against me.

Only consolation is I'm not getting red cards for perfectly good tackles like I did on PES2010. That used to wind me right up.

This goes on all over the pitch, at least a couple of times a match but the example I've gave is just being told to serve as an extreme of how much the bugged movement affects the gameplay.

If you think it is annoying when you play ML, you should play Online, a lot of goals are scored because the COM pulled a couple of strings and basically provided you with a cheap shot at goal.

We should have control over the script, but we cannot have control over the script if the left analogue stick produces scripted or pre-determined movements which cannot be measured with precision: the left analogue stick (and d-pad) needs to affect the movement from one space into another space, but also, the movement inside one space.

If that flaw is not fixed, the game will remain scripted and automatic.
