Konami made a statement a few weeks back saying they are not developing AAA games anymore, except PES, to focus more on mobile gaming. Konami should sell PES to another gaming company.

PES is more like a 'D-' game at the moment! / -:

I was thinking the same thing today- they should franchise (or sell) the series to another developer. Before they sell it, they should sack (fire) Adam Bhatti for being such a liar/bullshit artist!

Heh heh, by your tone of voice

No I guessed it was you because you answered my question about evo-web being down and I know you are a regular poster on there, and along with your profile name being pretty similar to deco that was a dead giveaway. :)

I know what you mean regarding I.d.'s, I'm always forgetting how many e's are in my user name.

I was in bits laughing when I read your post ha ha I didn't know who you were and on this site I didn't cop your name when I replied to you , I just thought who's this cheeky git. We were all strung out for feedback on the dlc . Thanks for blowing me cover ha ha.

Now I noticed another dumb mistake by Konami:

Even when you haven't ticked the boxes for the roster update, all the faces that you have edited of fake players are gone (hair too).

Example: I edited Srna of Croatia (fake Srna) -> gone...

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Konami?!?!?!??!

I think there are lots of misunderstandings and miscommunication, thats why. Adam said that from next year he will be able to work closely to the team that is responsible for transfers. And then, when you check the player names, you can see one players called, lets say: "C. Smalling" while other player is called "Sam Johnstone" with full name and last name. Some players have only a lastname. Different height/weight/nationality/positions, it just shows that, probably, people who are making the database/optionfile arent too much aware of the leagues they are responsible of and arent aware of each of theyr own work as well, because there is no systematic, even with player names. And the funny part is, that there are lots of people, even out here, right now, who could make all of this work. Who put tons and tons of efforts anyway, for free, in making this game as much realistic as possible, but then again, Konami do not contact them, they are not in the team and everything is done in a half-finished way. Lots of miscommunication. Not many have such a devoted community, that spends hundres of hours each year fixing and editing the game, but it isint noticed or if it is, only by very little. Konami shoots itself to the leg, because the distance between Europe and Japan is big, supposedly? And up to all of that, we are the last to know that facebuilds were deleted this year along with the datapack. I know that lots of editing patches are gone from PC community, because of lack of care from Konami for theyr efforts. They just dont see any purpose, investing theyr free time into making this game better/realistic. The same can happen with console users, because what is the point, if all of your work is gone and your are not even warned about it.

Well, in the meantime I'm still waiting for that investment property he's supposed to be selling me in Oldham with a "Beautiful beach-side view." :crymore:

It is so disappointing to learn that they didn't sort out the goalkeeping and refereeing- two absolutely fundamental parts of a game of professional football!

They might, at some point, at some stage, but you know, none of us can tell that for sure, since nobody knows, nobody lets us know. Im not totally given up with this game, but obviously, I`ll have to wait some time for any improvements. Good thing im not that addicted to gaming. :D and have my mind elswhere, when/if they fix the game.

Well, here's hoping that PES 2017 will be good! :D

What gets me is that we pay full retail price for something that doesn't work as it should- the video game industry has immunity from money-back guarantees if you don't like the product. / -:

Let's have some integrity from Konami HQ! :)

What a freaking joke. I thought EA were the ones who were the bandits, but at least they are putting in the effort to offer a complete game with updated rosters etc.

Konami is a joke, they still use their crappy outdated presentation, couldn't deliver on the release date and promised to fix the bugs and outdated rosters multiple weeks after the release and now they even failed to keep their promise on something simple like updating the rosters? Such a disgrace, taking our money and pissing on all of us afterwards.

I couldn't wait to download the data pack and now I can't wait to sell PES 2016 to the highest bidder. I bought FIFA a couple of hours ago and I'm just going to move onto playing that game. At least EA is putting in some effort.

Update; sold both games. Footie games are terrible nowadays, which is shocking considering the popularity of the sport worldwide.

I won't say PES is terrible.

I wouldn't say that FIFA 16 is terrible (at all)! :D 'Horses for courses', I suppose...

It's so annoying that Konami didn't fix the goalkeeping- I don't like it when it's too easy to score- it takes the fun away from it as far as I'm concerned! I was really looking forward to getting it again, I'll wait until about a month after PES 2017 is released before I 'take the plunge' (if at all) next year.

It also pissed me off that the CPU could almost score at will, it gets tiresome having to defend like a madman almost every time they're on the attack. / -:

The refereeing is annoying but not game breaking for me.

However, the goalkeepers have been game breaking for me. I haven't played PES for weeks because of this. I'm really starting to worry that they wont be fixed. Because they don't seem to make obvious clangers I feel a lot of people don't notice how poor they are. Maybe it's because most people play with top teams, Neuer, DE Gea etc.
As an ex semi pro GK myself I maybe critique them higher than the average footy fan. I

Also question for user 'WHO'

I'm on PS3 as well, been playing Top Player ML offline as Vasco de Gama and easily won the league despite being one of the worst teams. What I've seen that hasn't been fixed from last year is 90% of the attacks from the CPU down the wings, the winger will cut inside, almost never go on the outside and whip a ball in. Makes it so predictable and easy to defend against. I wanted to know if you've experienced this and if its specific to PS3. The only difference I can see from 2015 is they occasionally cross the ball after cutting inside.

Is it still the same on superstar? I was going to test myself but the shoddy GKs has made me not want to waste my time with the game.

Thank you.

Yes, I would say its mostly the same, but I dont think something is specific to ps3. Game core is the same for all platforms, only graphics and others non-gameplay related stuff varies, in my opinion.

well..what a nightmare..this year i was ready to switch to pes..im sick of fifa being the same..i was ready to put the work into pes to edit everything, since the announcement of the option file for ps4 turned out to be a lie..i haven't bought the game yet, because im waiting for the black friday sale..but now i really dont know which poison to pick..it seems that in pes the goalies are a joke and the latest dp is just a complete joke (furthermore konami is saying not to edit anything until dp 2 comes out sometime this year????are you serious????!!!!).
fifa has its shares of bad reviews..
i really loved the pes demo..the gameplay, the graphics..i was super exited to come back to pes (grew up with it, since international super star soccer, until the horrible pes 08)..but these recent news scare me a bit..

now, i know this isn't the place to ask this question, but can somebody give me a fair suggestion about which game i should get, those who have tried or own both..

i love football/soccer too much to skip a year..(i sold fifa 15 2 months ago and im dying )

haha, spot on. It really costs some nerves, these games you know. I always wished for PES gameplay, player appearances and FIFA licenses and career mode, but that will never happen. So here again, FIFA with its full product, licenses, presentation and PES who has bare bones in presentation and various modes, but has the desired gameplay and nice looking players. YET... The gameplay has many flaws at the moment. You can find lots of stuff about it here in forum. If I were you and havent bought the game already, I would just patiently wait. The problem is, that with Konami, you never know if there will be some actual game fixing works done and if there will, then when?? Maybe in January, maybe only with PES 17. No one knows. At the moment its a bit hard to enjoy the game, because there is constant feeling that something needs to be tweaked, is it goalkeepers, the defence or whatever. As someone said, football games are becoming weird, while others say this is an amazing year for sport fans, with FIFA 16 and PES 16 making a fantastic battle... Well, I know for sure, that I wont trust any reviews for some time, because PES 16 is the best all time football game, according to many. It really has the potential and has that "its really fun to play" feeling to be honest, but the reviewers somehow managed to miss a whole lot of serious problems. As well as Konami themselves.

The keepers on Superstar level are actually good so much so that some of the saves they make i can't actually believe i never scored, they do make mistakes but surely that is realistic we never see keepers make mistakes in real life right?...

If you have some time just edit the 5 goalkeeper skills for every goalkeeper and upgrade them to rating of around 80. I ve done this for almost all goalkeepers for European clubteams. Only 2nd divisions left now. Im on PS3 regioncode BLES02187 and my OF is based on Leandro16 and Cypes with imported teams of Puppersa67 on PS3. It's here on pesgaming in the Completed Option File section.

The gameplay offline is so much more enjoyable with upgraded goalkeepers and I ve given most players of CL an EL teams more individual skills like covering, pressure, and fighting spirit. COM seems to make more fouls now. And I ve added more skills for COM players like long passing and shooting from distance. Scorelines are far more realistic now. It seems to work but it is not perfect. It s just a shitload of work to do this for all of the teams.

I havent updated to the Datapack. Im waiting for the second Datapack with all the transfers and without your editing being removed.

Where have you seen this? Is this confirmed? Also I don't know how the slots for DLC work, would it cost Konami loads to have more DLC/patches? Is this why everyone is saying Jan as this is the slot Konami already has arranged?

Thanks for the advice, however I don't really want to do that as it'll probably be reset after next update and out of principle I shouldn't have to fix a game I've paid £40 for. I might be cutting off my nose to spite my face but just really browned off with PES/Adam Bhatti and some of the content creators on his page who stick up for him at every turn.

Because of their actions really considering going back to FIFA once the price comes down as I really don't think the game will be fixed this year. I can see Pes' sales figures plummeting next year, Please buy it 2K and put someone professional as the face of your company in Europe!

It is happening again
Hi PES Fans,

There has been an issue with the latest Data Pack released October 29th, and we wanted to reach out to our fans to let you know just how we’re dealing with this current situation.

Currently the roster update for offline play which impacts Master League, competitions and edit mode is not complete, missing the final few days of transfers. The online modes, such as ranked matches, myClub and exhibition mode using Live Updates are up to date, as they were from October 2nd – and they remain unaffected.

We’ve received many questions regarding why offline and online are unique, and right now I wanted to explain that the systems being used for online updates are separated from offline due to the process we need to go through, with patch data including lists that needs to be checked internally and externally and may take weeks before the distribution.

The roster issue is a priority for us to correct ASAP, but will take some weeks unfortunately. We had planned a second Data Pack for end of November which was set to include a new stadium for PS4 and Xbox One, the Maracana. However, we will not release this Data Pack without including a fix for the offline roster issue.

Right now we have removed the planned Data Pack from our schedule so we can implement the fix required. We will then go through the process to get it out as soon as possible. We’ll update the fans on our official social channels as soon as we have information on this.

The extra time needed will also be used to add more content into the game that wasn’t planned at this stage, such as new kits and boots, as well as any other content the time allows. We’ll provide a list of extra content once set. We appreciate this doesn’t suddenly make this situation better, but we do want to show desire to make good on the situation for the fans.

We also want to take the opportunity to sincerely apologise to those fans affected by this issue. It’s frustrating for the fans, and for the team making the game. We assure everyone that we have learnt from this situation, and confirm designs to improve situations like these are currently being considered for future products.

Thanks for your continued support, and sorry once again,

PES Team

They've had months to sort this out already, and to knowingly release an update where the rosters are "not complete".... just fucking shambolic.

What the fuck does this even mean?

Like the great John Oliver said... "If you want to do something evil, make it boring".

I'm having difficulty trying not to laugh here... They are going to delay the 2nd shitty Data Pack SOME WEEKS because they are fixing the squads? I can't even imagine how much time they spend to take a shit if this takes "some weeks".

"any other content the time allows." So there is a deadline? Great, I'd like to know when that is.

....
