Downloaded and installed your OF mate and appreciate the work that's went into it - it makes a huge difference. Only played a couple of games (as Everton in Champs League; beaten 2-0 by Real Madrid and drew 2-2 with Copenhagen) and enjoying pro evo '14 so far, quite a learning curve though.

My method in the OP? I haven't tried online yet, but have scored every penalty against the COM using the method I outlined in the OP.

One tap of 'O' = cross to back post; Two taps of 'O' = cross to front post; Three taps of 'O' = cross hard and fast along the deck. Vary them in a game to see what you strikers are better at getting on the end of.

Yes, I considered not buying PES due to the penalties and the'ok' demo. Glad I did though as the game's great and I've figured out how to take a penalty. 'Tap' square then 'tap' back on the D-Pad. Sorted.

Tap square first, then tap back on the D-Pad, and viola, the keeper dives either left or right and you (almost) chip the shot down the middle. By tap I mean you 'hit' the square button, don't 'hold' it for any length of time. And again by 'back' I mean opposite the direction you are facing...
