About training?

Thank you very much for your answer, kbon

So i think ROTATING will develop my players better, but should i ever
use CONDITION in my training regime? when? maybe 1 or 2 days before
an upcoming fixture, by using ROTATION how much further more my players stats will increase comparing using just CONDITION, for example
SANTON 83 overall when joined, using CONDITION will get 84 overall at the end of 1 season, 87 overall if using ROTATION, do you mean this is what will happen by using ROTATION?

thanks

Into my second season I had just used Conditioning, the players I used was increasing, but the other players was going down in stats. (I still have just the starting coaches by the way.) So I lookes at the training regime options to see what options I have. I noticed that you lost stats as well as gained in each of the regimes, so I tried to figure out a cycle that didn't decrease stats, and I think I figured out the solution to this problem!

The cycle is of 11 days that I repeat, just "pausing" during matches and resting days and resuming the cycle after those days. Here's the cycle I came up with:

3 days Technique
3 days Speed
2 days Physical
1 day Tactics
2 days Conditioning (Or whatever you want I guess :p)
*Repeat*

I use "skip to date" to skip to the fourth day and change to speed from Technique for example. (The coach will tell you about the changes in Team Strenght and other things that happen after you skip, and players only talk to you after matches, so there is no need to worry about that.) If for example one of the 3 day Technique trainings is interrupted by a match, say between the 2. and 3. day, I skip to the third day (the match) and play that, after that you automatically go to the next day (wich is resting). Then I skip to the 2. day after the resting days and switch to the 3 day Speed training. this way I get my 3 days of Technique training in the 11 day training cycle. :)

Anyway, this cycle I found to increase stats slightly overall and not decrease any stats (bear in mind that I have just the original coach, I suspect that the increase in stats is much bigger with the best coaches!).

Hope this helps you if you have young players or other players that you don't use that much that decreases in stats.. :) Please correct this if I'm wrong people! (Althoug I'm 99% sure this is the best way to train) ;)

Maybe I'll post this in a thread of it's own so people don't miss it.. ;)

Just an update following lots of debate on here before I started my master league...!

Just past the half way point in the season. I am Juventus and have the best coaches. However, despite rotating training (usually 3-4 days max on any one type), practically the whole squad has decreased ratings!

I am using the unpatched version (1.00). I messed around with a few on the patched version (1.01) and I suspect development may be slightly different.

Guys follow the order that the training regime is alreadyh in and yhou will be fine. The main point tho is that when u see the red arrow go up on one catehory u have to do that same trining again so that it wont increase the next day ..ex: Defense goes up 2 points so u the set Physical training again the next day then just continue the order

I've given up with the whole training people thing. Its getting really annoying now, I ended up editing a team and making a 'dream team' with all the players who have the highest overall scores:

Ibrahimovic
Messi
Ronaldo
Robben
Xavi
Xabi Alonso
Bale,
Thiago Silva
Puyol
Alves
Buffon

I then turned off player development so you no longer have to worry about training and players stats dont decline when they get older.

How the hang do you do that? Did you wait till season 2, when you made it into a better league, then just bought everyone at way above 'market' prices?

Also, can you turn off player development at any time during ML or is it only in the very beginning when setting everything up?

As he said, he edited a team (in edit mode), put all those players in one team and started ML with that team ;)

Usually i use the same regime for 1-2 weeks then switch to an other and so forth. Really difficult to get a hang of the whole training system i think.

Hey guys, I didn't think I had an account here but seems I have one from many years ago! Big ML fan and I've been trying to get my head around a lot of the new features and this forum is a great source!

I've found with training it's best to keep an eye on the stats on your main ML screen and address the areas which need improvement each week. I try to increase everything at the same level to stop other areas deteriorating. I'm currently coming to the end of my second season (finished low in the premierleague) and I'm focusing on building up my youth players...since I have so little money.

1. Firstly, rotating the training systems definitely has provided much faster development of my players than keeping it on conditioning!

2. My schedule works on a weekly rotation period, doing it every few days takes too long and isn't worth the effort. The decrease in stats averages out when you train that area later.

So I start the season on the lowest value, physical I worked on first at the start. Then after a week, tactics. Next week, speed. Next week technique, then I finish with conditioning and start the process again.

Oh and if something doesn't develop enough from 1 week (say speed is 68 and physical is 75), I'll leave speed on for 1.5 weeks before changing. You can do this by pressing X on the 'next schedule' page to stop the progress mid-week.

Really happy with some of my youth development in my 2nd season. Palmieri, Guegan, Malqualao all hitting 71. Shimizu and Camacho on 75! Duffy is at 68 and improving quickly too. Nothing too special but building a core slowly. This year's ML is much harder and about the long-term. My coach is the 500,000 value one (got him at the start of season 2, will get the 1mil one at start of season 3). Hope this helps!

I started with Genk and for my first buy I got this youngster called Sterling who is 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has a dribble speed of 88!!!!! and an overall rating off 70 and also plays for Liverpool F.C. so it could take long to get him

Another quick update. I am currently mid way through my second season, using patch 1.02. I have the most expensive coach as I started my ML with a big name team.

I am currently rotating on a daily basis, altering the schedule according to my fixtures. One day technique, next day speed, next day strength etc. I always do conditioning at least 1 day before the game, sometimes 2 days before if it is an important/difficult fixture or if my players are tired (usually after international games).

Seems to be working well, and I have come round to the fact that it takes (or wastes, depending on how you look at it) a lot more time than in 2011. Younger players are generally improving. A lot seems to depend upon whether you can get games for your youngsters- those that play are increasing much faster than those that do not play. That is a similar situation to the majority of Pro Evo games I can remember.

Do you not find that way a little too time consuming if your changing the training every day, I just change it week by week and if players form is low or some are fatigued, I'll do condition a few days before the match. I still do a week of conditioning in my rotation anyway though.

Yes, its time consuming and boring. I first came to this thread to find a way to avoid doing it. I found that rotating on a weekly basis made it very difficult to manage the balance of how many sessions on each training type I was doing- i.e. some weeks you can get say 5 sessions of technique, then the next week, just a couple of sessions of speed... I didn't want to end up with the players development unbalanced in any one direction.

So I have just learnt to live with it, and it seems to be the best way to keep players fit and develop the squad.

Like the boring cutscenes, it is something that needs removing from or changing in the next PES (in my opinion). If they just had an option to go through the schedule and set training sessions in advance (so you can sim through a rotation that you have set earlier), it would be so much easier.

Training would be better if you set a Training Schedule for the month you're about to play, including fixtures so you can alter what to work on, instead of manually changing it. Atleast development isn't stupidly easy for youngsters now and i think development is a mix of normal and dynamic this year it seems which makes sense, players playing more matches will grow nicely depending on their age/development. Getting both a top Coach and Athletic Trainer will help immensely, it's just everything's stripped back if you play for a small team/ML defaults without unlocking the funds in PES shop

can tactic training improve the potential teamwork? Let's say a potential player's teamwork is 80. This will go down without training. But can tactic training improve it to 90?
I tried for two weeks and it's still 80.

Tactical training improves teamwork however if a player deosn't play, it starts to decrease again as they are losing experience

How do you pre-set the training for a particular month? I can't see to find that option on Master League.
