About training?

I am having trouble with the training in that I only seem to be able to view it but not adjust it. Any ideas?

No, that's all there is to it. I thought this as well when I first began playing, but all you can select is the type of training (i.e. Physical, Speed, etc.) using the left stick. There's no individual allocation of focus points or anything like that this year.

Can players obtain skill cards by just playing? Can you basically get skill cards to your players anymore? (In pes 2011 through training)

I would suggest sending your youth players out on loan, here they would develop much faster as opposed to training and sitting on the bench.
