Take a look at this:

http://www.konami.jp/we/network/2009/na/xbox/info.html

and this:

2009.02.19 New update with Download feature is now available!
New data was released at 19/02/2009, it contains the player's movements during the winter transfer window.

You can update the game by selecting "Download" from Systems Settings.

How is it that the NA 360 users now have what appears to be the 1.30 update but the ps3 users stil have nothing? Unless they plan on relesing it all at once which I doubt. This is ridiculous.

i made a comment about this website when i spoke to konami's support and what they said was that this is for the japanese users only and not for the american users because its a japanese website

Until Konami figures out that the Americas love football, I am not supporting them. Why would I? They surely are not supporting us, and even more so, us PS3 users. I've done my part, paid them my hard earned money, now they need to live up to their end of the bargain. DON'T advertise updates, or downloadable content will be available throughout the year, and deliver nothing to US, but give it to the rest of the world. That slap in the face is still stinging.

What is so hard about it? Between the automated e-mail replies, and the fact I believe now they are lying. I give up.

To win me back now, FIFA would have to take ten steps back, and PES would have to, well, I couldn't even tell you anymore. Once you've been cheated upon, it's hard not to have those images in your head, if you were to take back that former lover again.

I sent another e-mail.. I'm so angry. I feel stupid not purchasing EU version and still waiting.

Hi,

Ok, we have waited more than enough. You guys told us that Update 1.20 will be available this week. All around the world except North America now have 1.30 update which includes all the transfer of winter. In PESGAMING.com, where most PES 2009 players post their opinion, we are all furious about the fact that you guys are ignoring us by not giving ANY information about update. These people now have switched to FIFA or purchased EU version of PES 2009. I really don't understand why you guys are doing this to your customers. NA version of PES are played by also South American people. I understand the fact that you guys might think America is a small market in soccer compared to EU and Asia but including South American player, there is a high volumn of players. While everyone around the world having 1.30v update, you guys didn't even give us 1.20. and didn't even give us proper reason. Is there any license issue? or you guys just too lazy to work for us? I don't know how much you guys are getting paid but if I were your CEO hearing all the customers' complains, I would definitely fire all of you. You guys told us that you don't have any information yet. WHY DON"T YOU GO ASK YOUR BOSS THEN? if the boss doesn't know, the boss can ask CEO? PLEASE GIVE US HONEST ANSWER WHY WE AREN"T GETTING ANY UPDATE. and don't give me any automated response. We are all posting up your answer in PESGAMING.COM forum and it makes us more furious. I wish someone who really enjoys soccer, gaming, or knows what is happening around the world about PES, is working there. It seems like you guys are bunch of people working in McDonald or something.

If you are going to give me answer like "its gonna be available soon or one/two weeks", screw that. give me a specific date or current progress like "it is 80% completed we are working on it" or "we don't give a s**t about soccer and PES we work for McDonald"

Thank you.

I'm beginning to think it's a scam. They intended to get us America's players to buy our version. Become frustrated with the lack of support. Knowing that some of us would buy an EU version (our 2nd purchase) just to get what we deserved all along.

Excellent marketing idea and department you've got there Konami! They should all get raises with the money we're throwing at you.

Inspite the fact that Konami is ignoring the PS3 USA version of the game, the game really plays differently and smoothly than at least the EU PC version I have! And I have a good PC. I have been playing the PC version since it came out and bought the PS3 NA version a few weeks ago. The game is so much better, both gameplaywise and the online. So I would say stay away from the EU version although they are getting more updates than we(PS3 users) do!

this is my 2nd email i sent to konami.

hello,

i would like to know, what is the reason of why we have not recieved any updates for the PS3 version of PES2009, this is making a lot of us customers really angry at your the service konami noth america is providing, we demand these updates NOW! or we are seriously will not be buying your products, ive been a loyal fan of the series ever since it came out here in the usa and i have to say next year i will not buy PES2010
if we do not receive the updates with the latest transfers made during the winter market. what konami is doing with this is loosing a lot if its customers bcuz of their poor and incopentent job its doing.

..and the answer will be "I'm sorry we are working on it, we are going to release the update very soon"... or something like that...

but what they really mean is " we dont give a fuck if u dont buy our product next year..you already gave us the money for this year, and for next year we are gonna find other stupid customers that believe that pes is still the best soccer game around..we just need to add some stupid and useless feature...

and from all of us, maybe 2 or 3 people have order the euro version, its not that, they might be saving money by not releasing the update

there was a certain degree of sarcasm I was inserting there...

I can't believe that they think they would be saving money. There's people that will not buy the game or future future releases based upon the reputation they've earned themselves by not supporting the America's.
I really do not care if they release the greatest footie game of all time next year. They will not see my money.
They run a business, the only thing that matters to them is the money. I cannot see any other way to get a point across to them.

They've taken care of everywhere else but the Americas. Perhaps they think we don't really enjoy football here. Hard to believe as it is a global game. If that was there beliefs though, you'd think they'd want to expand to a untapped market then.

It just seems as though with the lack of info, that they don't give a F.

All the lack of support from Konami made me put down PES 09 with option files and all. Some might say well thats why there is an edit mode, so why not do the transfers yourself. Yes there is an edit mode, but there are also OFFICIAL updates from Konami that would bring my game up to date, oh but I forgot I just live on the wrong side of the pond. So I now play FIFA 09 with current lineups, kits, stadiums, and an online mode that is almost flawless. Thanks Konami for making me turn to the dark side dont think ill be coming back anytime soon....

It's sad, really. Ever since I discovered Winning Eleven 8, I've bought both titles each year. Previous to PS3, and XBox 360 I believed Winning Eleven was the better of the two releases. I would edit them to make up for the obvious advantage FIFA held over PES with the kits, etc.

With last years release of PES 08, I was hesitant to even pick up this years. I figured with the earlier release they gave us here, and the promise of updates, that PES was on the right track. I couldn't have been more wrong. I do enjoy the playability of the title. It's just EA, and FIFA delivered what they said they would. PES did not, while slapping us in the face.

After sending my 2nd email to Konami support this is the answer I've received.
I guess the concept of "soon" is very relative. ;)

Dear Konami Customer,

Thank you for contacting Konami Tech/Customer Support. This is not an automated response. We regret to inform you that this is all the information Customer Support was provided. We would like to inform you that the 1.2 patch will be available for the PS3 soon. We do not have information on when patch 1.3 will be available for North American users. Please keep an eye on the official PES 2009 site for updated news on this subject.

We again apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
