If I can draw the attention back to the game, can you give any information about the Master League? Is it as I have suspected due to the absence of any information about it what so ever, the same as PES2010? Could you detail any differences? I am only interested in the offline/standard Master League, any information would be good.

Quite like yourself, I'm a big fan of the offline game. I haven't really started a Master League yet. I quickly went onto it after several people asked if Copa players were available to buy in the ML but it does seem different to PES 2010's as I wasn't able to even view the market upon starting and instead I was given a suggestion of a potential player to buy along with sponsors I believe (I was pressing the skip button a lot to try and get to the open view market - which didn't arise so soon so I exited to save time). So to summarise I haven't really delved into the ML but from the minute or so I spent in the game mode, there does appear to be some changes yeah. Money being included obviously is a big plus, yet to see if the sponsor gets placed on the shirt but that'd be nice. I'll probably mention more ML details this weekend I think as I'll probably start one properly then - I like to leave some free time for it as I spend hours creating a team, their name, kit, squad numbers, the works :D

How do the leagues break down? I know there is the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Dutch league, Ligue 1, But the other team leagues and the pes league...which ones are the unlicensed teams in? May be a confusing question didnt know how to word it just right sorry trying to prepare for my option file when i FINALLY get the game here in the states

I know what you mean.

The PES League is a league filled with generic fantasy teams just waiting to be shaped into a full league. The Other Teams section is just a big collection of licensed teams who don't have full leagues on the game, Besiktas, Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb etc etc.

Thanks for answering my question a couple of pages back, Hunter.

That settles it; I'll be getting PES11 when I have got round to buying a PS3. Sick of MS's ransom of using the XBL camera to half-arse what PS3 users can do to a high standard.

In future mate do you think you could say what clubs they are at, or were at previously just so I don't have to search on Wiki and then on PES myself - tar. I'm listing the players here in their primary positions with their best rating, if they also have a good secondary position and rating I'll list it also since you've only asked for a few players and not a fleet. Jovanovic was quite a tricky one as it doesn't seem Standard Liege are on the game so I had to look at Serbia and of course all the player names in the majority of international teams are completely incorrect so it tricked me first time round! Anyway:

Jovanovic (known as Josarolic in the Serbia team) - 81 LMF, 75 AMF, 81 SS.
Meireles - 77 CMF.
Konchesky - 79 LB.
I can't seem to find Brad Jones on the game, even in Australia and their reserves.
Poulsen - 75 DMF.
Fabio Aurelio isn't in the game. Seriously. I've checked Liverpool, Juventus, Brazil and their reserves. :faceplm:
Chicharito - 67 CF.

Oops, my bad forgot to mention what team they played for, sorry. Looking at the overalls however, Konami seem to have overated Konchesky and underated Meireles and of course Chicarito too. Fabio Aurelio not in the game? :crymore: Hope they do some quick update not long after the game is officially released! This is quite embarassing. May I ask for 3 more players (just confirmations).
Is Xabi Alonso still rated at 99? :shocking:
And Messi still 98? Ibrahimovic 97?
Thx again!

Thank you my other question revolves around the ML which you said you may dive into this weekend. Essentially when i make my ML i create my own team, kit, name, emblem all of that...have done so for the past 5 years. I also make a team for my brother when he comes ove to play exhibition and i put his team in my ML. I also switch the teams in the league to put the best possible teams in the same league with me as well as in the 2nd division to get promoted. i like doing it that way. Im just wondering if i will be able to do that this year or not. I think someone mentioned earlier that you can not edit what league you play in, in the actual ML. Im hoping the league editor will allow this then

Can you create a custom league and enter into the ML?

I need to actually correct myself here mate. There is the PES League and also the D2 League both filled with unlicensed/fantasy teams available to editing so you can essentially create two official leagues with them it seems providing we've been given the available number of emblem and logo slots. :)

You can actually edit which teams will be in which leagues and alter their line up. This is the annoying thing though, you have to do it in Edit Mode. So you can ultimately customise your ML divisions to meet the teams you wish to, but the customised leagues won't just be for the ML since you have to alter it in Edit mode. This means the changed leagues will be for all modes, exhibition, etc. Stupid I know. The same goes for the "original" custom team we all love making at the start of every ML, it's the same as PES 2010 in the sense that it doesn't exist anymore. The only way to create a custom team in terms of name, kit and emblem is to do so with one of the unlicensed fantasy Konami teams in Edit mode and then start a ML with them. It's not such a big problem really for this bit, but it was nice to edit the team's kit during the off-season in the summer every year on the PES games a few years back I'm sure you'll agree. I'd even pretend the club has had a change of manufacturer and I'd alter my kits from Puma templates to all Nike templates for the upcoming season. Why am I laughing, I still do it.

Looking for a reply on this one cause it a big issue also will the patch that fixes the bug include this one as well ?

This does seem to still happen, but obviously only to whoever is in possession of the ball. I think it's good that player's are ever so slightly slower when sprinting with the ball but it does seem like defenders can catch them up strangely at times. I wouldn't say I've noticed it regularly as I've left defenders in the dust a few times on the wing in the Copa competition so I think it might just be a case of stamina/fatigue and also condition arrows combined that may be having an affect you're not aware of. Of course I'm being optimistic here and I think realistically it can go some way to potentially explaining it.

I know you mentioned that the wing bug was not fixed, but do you (or anyone) think that a patch will be released sorting it out, and if so, will it be easily available to XBOX 360 users? Sorry, I know this is not directly related to the thread, but I am just curious. Cheers

Honestly, I really don't know. It just depends on how dedicated Konami are going to be with PES 2011 patches. I'm probably more inclined to say it won't be fixed though unfortunately. These little niggles never seem to get sorted speaking from past experience.

I change my kit every year too lol i keep the sponsor the same (Guinness) but i change the format ofthe kit and the colors sometimes for my away kit. You can still do that im sure like in last years game. I am not worried about the other modes of play as I play ML only really. Have never really played a league before. So thats good news as far as editing leagues...but then what logos would i use for each respective league is going to be the issue. I take the best teams from each league! So it will be interesting maybe I can create a Master League Logo/emblem for my ML and to put on my sleeves. I kinda think it will be more fun this way playing the ML once I finish all the editing. I am thankful I am able to transfer information from my 2010 file to 2011..

My question is going to be since my created team was in other league B over one of the empty slots...when i transfer it over where will it show up on this years game? Or will just the players show up. Either way the less i have to create from scratch for my team the better because creating the players takes the longest amount of time

I'm really not sure on this one mate, I think for the most part the option file will be fine but there will obviously be some inconsistencies and potential mistakes. I'm currently transferring my PES 2010 option file over now, it's been transferring for about the last 25 minutes. It's currently loading Strip Data 166, there's probably another 34 left to equal 200. I just hope there then isn't emblem and logo data to load up afterwards or I'll be here for about another hour.

I can't remember if I had Other League B stacked though, it probably was the Bundesliga (Daymos Option File) so once it's transferred I'll let you know but I wouldn't expect a further update on this specific front tonight at this rate to be honest, especially since I'm incredibly tired.

1. have the graphics been improved from the demo?
2. are there any new animations?
3. have you tried creating some real stadiums? did it work out well??
4. whats in the training mode?is it the same thing?
5. has the ref played you advantage ever since you started playing?

1. From the demo? Nope. Realistically there's no way the graphics were going to be improved in such a short space of time.
2. New animations since the demo? Nope, same as above, impossible. New animations compared to PES 2010? Definitely, there's a huge amount of new animations since last year's game, although I'd still like to see a few more in areas such as goalkeeping and slide tackling/falling.
3. I've now delved into the stadium creator and it looks good. The choices are quite limited to be honest but it's definitely an improvement having it. I've just finished making Craven Cottage which looks quite good (obviously doesn't look perfect), I have 3 small 1 tier stands and then 1 slightly larger stand for behind the goal like Craven Cottage has. The best thing about the stadium creator though is that we have 20 save slots, and we can also use these created stadiums for in-game teams as I've just assigned my created Craven Cottage to Fulham! Hope this puts a smile on your face mate.
4. Training mode still sucks unfortunately. It's criminal that it's still boring. Konami really need to re-implement the old training challenges.
5. I've not noticed the advantage rule yet although I think pard said he's noticed the advantage played in one of his matches. I've seen quite a few quick free kicks and with less niggly fouls being given the game flows better than it does in the demo.

Dear Hunter, first of all thanks mate for not being selfish when you can by just playing the game and not draging your self through the headech of answring others questions.

my question is so simple, does the mentality card still available for each player as it was in pes 2010 where you can choose to make your player as defencef or attacking minded ?

thanks again for your efforts. :)

man whenever you get around to it is fine by me...I deleted all my kit pngs anyways so it wont take as long. Im sure Jack will have all new ones this year or resized so figured id delete them for when i create my US option file. This way it wont take forever to overwrite.

Thanks man. I don't think I'll be doing any big editing though, it's just such a big task today I think I'll wait for the contributors to make their trademark option files. I'm happy to play the licensed Copa competition for now.

For everyone wondering about online play too as I know there's many who've already asked, I won't quote everyone but I'll just speak on it below:

I've just finished my first Ranked match online (he chose Barcelona - of course!) and despite the ping in the top corner being low on 1 bar and red the match seemed to run alright. There were moments where it became laggy but it never jumped, it looked more like choppy framerates sometimes but not to the point where it was bad. If this is the standard we can expect on a low/poor connection then I think we should be quite happy with a good connection. I can't see it being as free as FIFA online but it's definitely an improvement upon PES 2010 online from what I've experienced so far. I'll be feeding back more over the next few days after more online matches of course and I'll be posting them all in my first post of this thread on page 1 so remember to keep checking back.

I lost the match 2-1 mind, and I don't think I saw where the default speed setting was but it definitely wasn't -1 which is what I play on offline. It seemed really fast, almost ping pong like at times to be honest. If this is what 0 speed setting feels like I can safely say I won't be in a rush to play it offline in my Copa.

thanks dude, so i'm assuming there was no button lag?

N'Gog deserves a much higher rating, Pacheco has great potential, so has Kelly. Lucas is nothing special but 71 is way too low.

..about people asking individual stats of the players.. you should stop staring the numbers..

I'm sure that some guys aren't rated correctly. But you should realize that a player playing every position don't NEED to have good overall to be a good player to that spot. Like in real life.

For instance we had "mediocre" strikers in Pes2010 ML team and did the job great.. And for instance a DMF is great already when having good Balance, defence and stamina.. Meaning, he gets HIS job done but isn't flashy in everything he does.

And that's what Lucas is as well.. nothing special really, but probably has the NEEDED stats for the job.. and to Add up Lucas was really way too good last year.

..And I don't really have any questions, like every year can't wait to get my ML started with Castolo, Jaric free kicks, Ivarov & CO! (I wonder how many seasons Minanda is still going on, till 40's?) :p. The only correct way to begin master league!

EDIT: well one thing, but this has always been. It's quite dumb as in ML youngsters come from international teams. I ended up having for instance Donovan & Dotan (unlicenced donovan in USA team). In the same league.. can this be prevented by some editing before starting ML?

Dear Hunter
It was a pleasure to read all your well-organised answers all the way from page 1 to cloud number 9 here ! Thanks for your time man, not a lot of people would do what you do now.
A few questions though;
-Would you please check if Cesc Fabregas has a call name in the game after 2 years in row being left out? and also his overal and passing stats.
- Does the broadcasting camera tilt at both ends like real life? and how does it compare to pes 10's broadcasting 1 camera in terms of quality and feel? considering you played on it before ofcourse.
-Do players still flip over every time tackled on the ball as the case in demo? since I opened a thread about this and no one really shared thoughts but I thought this was very unrealistic to send ibra flipping every time with a weak defender.
Thanks a million mate.

Spurs seem to be a decent side, the team's graph looks in a similar standing to that of Manchester City, Aston Villa etc so it's probably about right.

I probably won't be playing a Spurs match anytime soon I'm afraid, I just don't have the time. I've only played about 4-5 games myself so far with everything that's been going on.

The ratings are tricky as they change depending on what position you play them so it takes forever to look at them all properly so I'll just do a few:

Bale is rated 83 as a LB, 82 as a LWB and 78 as a LMF.
Defoe is 83 as CF.
Lennon is rated 88 RMF.
Modric is 78 in CMF and AMF.
Huddlestone 77 DMF, 76 CMF.
King 80 CB.
Dawson 86 CB.
Assou Ekotto is 77 LB.
Bentley 72 SMF.
Jenas 78 CMF.
Palacios 78 CMF.
Bassong 75 CB.

Thanks mate... ummm modric 78 the same as jenas? strange

between this and the teams being wrong its somewhat put me off PES2011, and making my own OF, i like to have proper kits and original stats and teams, some thing OF dont normally do.
