No game rentals here in Egypt. Actually, even online gaming here is a non familiar concept. Most people play offline. I've been downloading demos from the ps store for a while to know which games are playable. Uncharted looks sweet.

Odd. That is how I played it :erm:

Can someone who has played and enjoyed Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age (I'm not too fussed about anyone who has only played Thief 3) whether someone who loved that gameplay is going to enjoy the gameplay in this.

Those of you who expected a lot of running around clearly didn't pay enough attention to what the game is about.

I don't know why but I'm expecting Usul to have played Thief before.

I have played the Thief games on the PC. I did enjoy them and I suppose Assassins Creed is fairly similar but more open if you know what I mean. On thief you have to stealth about and hide in the darkness where as on AC you just lunge about like a loon. There is alot of running about but that didn't bother me too much because you have to find different paths and alternative ways to get around guards. Climbing and jumping is top fun but it does get repetitive. As I say I reckon if you like Thief you may like this. The flaws are it is short and repetitive but it's worth a play for sure.

Its a good game however it only took 4days for me to complete the thing and it got rediculars at the end. the ending spoils the game, but i would still get assisns creed 2 just because i want to know what happens.

The way things should be.

ASSASSIN'S CREED PC TO GET EXCLUSIVE CONTENT AN NEW WAYS TO EXPLORE WITH MORE OPEN ENVIROMENTS.

"Ubisoft has managed to slap hard the console fanboys all over the world and bring joy for the gamers who still believe that the PC systems are nothing but the best thing to run a game on: Assassin's Creed, Director's Cut Edition – as the PC version of the game will be named - will feature some exclusive content that will make the Altair experience to feel even better.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft did not say exactly what this exclusive content will be, but we know that we will have four exclusive side missions accompanied by four new types of investigations, thus providing even more ways for players to explore the various locations of the Third Crusade. We don't know yet if the developers plan to give us further details or let us discover ourselves when the game will be released in March, but we sure hope it will really be something that worths the title of "exclusive" content and not just some meaningless stuff that only sounds good.

"We are thrilled to bring Assassin’s Creed to an eager PC audience and we anticipate the game will resonate with them just has it has across the other platforms," said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft. "Assassin’s Creed is a game that must be experienced firsthand to fully understand how dynamic and meaningful this title has become for video game fans worldwide."

Since its mid-November 2007 launch, Assassin's Creed has sold over 5 million units of the console version and has managed to delight gamers worldwide with its nearly perfect gameplay and, of course, the eye candy graphics. In the "Director's Cut" PC version, players will help Altair to stop hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict, while experiencing the art of a master assassin.

You will have to assassinate men said to be exacerbating and exploiting the hostilities created by the Third Crusade, in a chaotic mess resulted from the war between Richard the Lionheart and Saladin, leader of Jerusalem. As the story unfolds, Altair will find out that the men he is supposed to kill share membership in a secret society and they are not simply looking for profit. However, you will have to discover on your own their true goal and how they plan to achieve it, everything starting this March, in Assassin's Creed, Director's Cut Edition."

From various.

I'm glad PC gamers are still properly looked after. We're the way of the future. :smug:

Hopefully it'll be worth the long wait.

I "acquired" it last weekend and it runs superbly on my machine with all settings set to maximum.

Only one issue - it randomly freezes and then quits. Sometimes I can only play for half an hour, other times two hours. I also don't know if the "fix" for it will go beyond level 3.

Usul, did you "acquire" it or has it been released? I'm sure its not out here until the end of the month.

After 6 months of collecting dust I decided to give the game another chance, and have been pleasantly surprised.

Having Xbox 360 gives me other things to aim for too, which is nice.

I've had the game for almost two months and I've barely played. I don't want to start because I could easily get addicted and fail my exams.

Did you kill all the Templars, save all the civilians and collect all the flags, etc?

I got the end, but went back to find the Templars and flags. I had to give the game back though, as I only borrowed it.

Not yet. So far I have...

Saved all the civilians in Acre and Jerusalem.
Found all viewpoints in the game.
Collected all flags in Masyaf.
Got the Hungerer of Knowledge achievement.

Only done about half the Templars, and all other flags. God knows how I'm going to cover all dialogue with Lucy though :-/
