Assassins Creed Revelations

Might get this just to see how they do Constantinople/Istanbul, I've always hoped to see it in a game. Pre-1453 though would have been amazing. They should have set in 1097 during the First Crusade.

I read something about the Templars having a subterranean dwelling in the game. This is interesting, since such areas do exist in Cappadocia, and appear to have been used as resting sites for Nikephoros II Phokas' army whilst campaigning there. But their origins go back much further. The Templar thing is obviously bollocks mind.

I also read that Rhodes would be a multiplayer map. Siege of Rhodes was in 1522, would be interesting if you could take part in it. The Knights of St John would be infinitely more relevant (historically at least) than the Templars.

I like the sound of that, but, unless there are some big changes to the multiplayer system, I doubt it'll be in there. In Brotherhood, the multiplayer games are all about stealth and deception rather than any proper fighting and are, overall, pretty crap imo.

I think I read somewhere that you play as Altair in the same locations as Ezio, so you may well see 1097 Constantinople.

But Altair was born in 1165 according to Wikipedia, and the events of the first game take place during the Third Crusade (c.1191). If Altair goes to Constantinople, the most obvious turn of events to get him there would be 1204. But unfortunately I can't see this game ever offering up any great battles or sieges.

These games just seem to get better and better.

First one got boring, really enjoyed the second and just finished the 3rd and absolutely loved it. Will probably get this, but don't think it will be a full price purchase.

I am really very curious about Assassins Creed revelations. Ubisoft has officially announced the next AC game, Revelations, slated to be released in November. Supposedly, this one will have Ezio following in Altair's footsteps, taking him to the Ottoman Empire. Every time i heard something new about this, but its really going to be a amazing game.
