Basic Guide to Patching WE8:LE & PES4 for PS2 (DVD only)

This isn't really a patching issue but a pc hardware one.
Maybe try a google search for a forum or something with your dvd drive. If you can burn a normal DVD-R data disk you will be able to burn the patched disk too.

I havent used that patch but I would guess that you extract part 1 of the patch then use ppf o matic to apply that ppf file you get to the iso

You'll have to spell it out better than that.

Use WinRAR.
Use the search option to find the thread for the guide to using WinRAR.

Not sure if I'd recommend that one. If I read it right, the DVD-R write speed is 16x.
You need to find out the minimum writing speed available on the drive as you will need to burn the patched games at 2x (best) or 4x. And pick a better brand, such as Sony.

You'd have to ask in the thread of that patch. It's up to the patchmakers when new patches are released.

I need some help! If I wanna make an iso of the game do i put the game disc in the dvd-rom or do I put it in the dvd-writer/cd-writer? I tried to burn the mdv image file of the reefur patch which I unrared and apllied to the iso! I went ito dvddecrypter and I tried to burn the mdv image file onto a Memorex 4.7gb 120min 1x-4x dvd-r with write speed set at 1x! I thought i had everything sorted out but when it reached 37% I got an error message! Below I will write what the message said:

I/O Error!

Device: [0:0:0] HP DVD Writer 630c (E:) (ATA)
ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 00 11 F3 00 00 20 00
Interpretation: Write(10) - Sectors: 1176320 - 1176351

Sense Area: 71 00 03 00 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07
Interpretation: Write Error

Then below this message it gave me the option to retry or cancel!

every time i pressed retry it increased by 1% so I retried for a couple of hours until it got to 100% but then it started the whole way back to one and then it repeated the process of going fine up until 37% and then the error message continuously repeating! I ejected the cd-r from my dvd-writer and when i tried to play it on my chipped ps2 it didn't recognise the disc! What should I try to do? Maybe I have done something wrong with the patch? PLZ help me?

If the game is a DVD then you put it in any DVD-drive otherwise it won't be recognised.

I really don't understand why people attempt stages after ones they are not sure about.
The image should be a .ISO file. How big is this mdv file?
Delete everything except the patch and don't rush things.

Ok so I put my chipped copy of we8le into my dvd-rom drive and i go to dvddecrypter and then mode-iso-read and then its save the file as WE8LE.ISO. Then I begin to decrypt the game and remove the game from the dvd rom drive when its finished decrypting! Now I go into ppf-o-matic and into the top box i select the WE8LE.ISO file and in the bottom box I go through my documents till I find the reefur patch and when I find it i double click it which inserts it into the bottom box of ppf-o-matic and then i click apply! After it applies i get a message that it ca now be burnt but then i put the WE8LE.ISO file in the top box again but this time in the bottom box i put the red card fix ppf file and then i click apply again and i get the message again about it being ready to be burned! Then I insert a Memorex 4.7GB 120 Video mins 1x-4x dvd-r into my dvd-writer drive! Then I load up dvddecrypter again and i go to mode-iso-write! Then I select the WE8LE.MDV file which i think was 5kb or 5mb and then I set the write speed to 1x and click on the symbol to write the dvd-r! Thats what I have done the first time and I got that error message! Should I try to burn it with a different program? Would I be able to burn it with CDRWIN or should I download NERO or alcohol120%? Plz help me Zyg?

Let's stop right there. You can only patch an image from your Original game. Are you trying to patch a patched disk? That won't work, as have found out.

Plz just tell me how to burn the image on nero? i think the image must be patchable because ppf-o-matic said that the patch was applied and that it was ready to burn using nero! Al giv it a try but could u tell me how to burn it with nero plz if u have time?

Just because ppf-o-matic says that the patch is applied doesnt mean that you patched a clean image. And I find its better to use Alcohol 120% to burn.

Also should i burn the iso file or the mds file? The iso is 2.31GB & the mds file is 4.21kb! I am now using samsung dvd-r 4.7gb/120min 4x! does this mean that i have to burn the disc at a speed of 4x?
