As far as I can tell killstreak rewards count towards your killstreak on the leaderboards, they do not count towards earning your next killstreak award.
That sounds about right.
At the moment, it seems that I can only use the AK-47 well. With every other gun I use, I seem to get a poor score. The AK-47 control is rather poor, so maybe getting use to that, has made me worse with the others!
Or there is the other theory that I'm just crap. But I prefer the former.

I just started playing again after a few weeks and, oh dear, getting spanked whilst you get up to speed is less than fun.
On a good sniper level like Highrise I went 5-7. Thankfully my spak attack subsided and I was able to pull a few good games out of my arse, including a rather tasty win on Rundown, where we were losing 5100-6200 only for me to John Rambo it and managed to get a Harrier and a Pavelow up at the same time to win the game with figures of 22-4.
Also I am a bit of a Barrett snob when it comes to rifles. I fell in love with it on COD4 and the other rifles available in this game just look wrong, as orig mentioned. I might give the others a go but the Barrett's stats do seem to stack up pretty well against the other rifles.

I've picked it up a few times the first time i had a go the recoil went right up in the air, then i had another go and it wasn't too bad.
Does anyone use the Vector? it's a cracking gun
There is no way that akimbo shotguns are as bad as n00btubes. It still requires some skill to use them.

yep used to be exactly the same as u as i used to avoid the sniper like the plague but now ive been using it got the thermal and it amazing 1 shot and ur gone most of the time
also use the acr for smaller levels like terminal and highrise but lately i have been trying to use the sniper for highrise without too much success as i always get stabbed up by some1 spawning near me that i didnt see.
as for u dotty how come your k/d ratio is so low i think ur the one at the bottom at my friends list now lol.

I don't know how you've got such a high accuracy rating. To preserve it at 40% you must be firing less or not taking shots from distance or something. It's bizarre going through the accuracy leaderboards with everyone else on 22% or under, then there's a jump of 6% to me and then we whack up to 40% for yourself.
I think you have a similar setup as myself, with a sniper rifle accompanied with a shotgun and I guess both guns are used when a hit is almost guaranteed, but even still it's pretty good going.

I'm not entirely sure myself, as I do take plenty of long shots, even people running on the other side of the map... I'll have a pop at them. I'm at the top of my friends list but keep slipping down the main list due to all the people joining firing five shots and never playing again.
I have a few set ups involving the Barrett, WA200 and Intervention and either a shotgun or a machine pistol as secondary. I think it's partially down to me getting very annoyed when I miss and because I only ever really fire a maximum of three shots at a target. With assault rifles even kills include missed shots usually, with the sniper I often get one shot kills.
Though, if it's any consolation... it's steadily increasing. I'm hoping to get to 50% after I finish my exams.
