Yeah there is 4 player split-screen, but you can also rank up offline as well.
I dont know how online works really but each game is hosted by whoevers connection seems best. You might be lagging a little if thats the case.
My MW2 disc is now stuck inside my friend's broken PS3. I am majorly pissed.

It goes for the best host. If the chosen host leaves the game, it momentarily pauses the game and looks for a new host at which point the game resumes, so the game can continue. I'm not sure how it picks the server but I live in Ireland and usually find myself up against a lot of English users.

I've played the 4 player split-screen on MW1 with my mates yesterday. It was a hell lot of fun. :lol: Knifing them by sneaking from behind was hilarious.
I'll be picking this game up once I have the money.

I was furious with the game last night, what with Phatmann shaking off sniper bullets to the chest and people teleporting across the screen. It felt really laggy, despite having three green bars. It didn't help that I was doing some ridiculously stupid things as well.
The thermal scope is excellent for spotting people, however, I find myself missing more shots when I have it on. I can hit people from one side of Derail to the other without it in any case. I currently prefer the heart monitor and silencer, but I may give it another go. It's a shame I can;t forgo two attachments to my shotgun and have three on my rifle!
The Ninja and Cold-blooded perks are annoying and seem ridiculous, no-one could sprint across a map in full gear and not have their heart rate picked up by such a device.

I just got a 30 kill streak on Invasion, ran out of ammo in both guns, lured some knobbo to try his luck before kniving him only to be killed whilst picking up his gun.

Also I've been experimenting with my perks, but there's just too many clashes that force my hand a bit. For instance, my perfect setup would be a blinged Barrett with thermal and a silencer (but for the silencer not to reduce range) as well as stopping power and cold blooded. I'd kick some poo then, if only.

I adjusted my port forwarding settings before those games we had earlier, my NAT Type is now open... it makes a difference! Anyone who sees a big difference between their in game experience and what you see on the kill-cam should check this.
Since correcting my router settings I'm more impressed with the thermal scope, I got a few people from <10 yards as they tried to knife me... using the scope! I wish you could hear their reaction! My accuracy still doesn't seem as good, but I think it's me being complacent when using the thermal scope. My accuracy percentage is slowly but surely getting back to what it was on CoD4.

How exactly do you do it? My NAT type is always Moderate and watching kill cams makes me cry inside.

Make sure your PS3 is set to a static IP, then forward these ports:
TCP: 3074
UDP: 3074
It's not a perfect solution, just had a few cases of shooting people (one square in the face). Only to then be shot immediately afterwards by said victim and see that my shot never got off on their kill-cam. Happens less frequently though.

Phatmann, sorry for using you as a crash-test dummy for my C4 experiment. Although it's clunky as fuck to use it does seem to have it's advantages, particularly when you know you're on the verge of being killed, you just whip out some C4 and, right before the inevitable, you kill yourself and the other bloke.
No one seems to use it, which means that most folks are oblivious to it. Saying that though, Original soon caught on after using him as a guinea pig for a few games (funny as poo when you saw that one on the stairs and just stopped dead).
Does anyone here know who Teeps is? We had a few games with folks I didn't recognise.
