i was rather bemused today when my CPU opponent went down in the box then to have the ref book him for diving. A nice addition if u ask me anyone know if its possible to dive?

I only use it when playing the game with a few mates because its very comical if it works out.
Hard to do though like, timing it is a bastard.

I did work out an almost guaranteed way of timing it wright on PES2008, but never really tried it on PES2009 - you were pretty much guaranteed a penalty when about to shoot in the box, anyway. If I remember correctly, you had to stand still or dribble very slowly, then when someone comes in for you, try to dive across them. It looked retarted, but it worked.

well.. first you need a decently big plasma/lcd tv.. then look at your player's shirt being pull..

i was on my way to a very rare ML win and the CPU played a through ball and his striker went down in front of goal, the whistle went and while i was shouting that i never pressed slide, the twat got booked for diving.
much relieved, i made sure to target the offending striker later on with a few tasty fouls.
i haven't used this dive yet myself as whenever i do it in exhibition i just get booked.

when the defenders or any player pulls your shirt then dive or when a player slides dive to the side or over him works 8/10 times for me

ive only done it once when winning 4-0
if ure clearly in the lead run @ a player standing in the box and move it just past them and as their leg comes out DIVE like a bird!
if its packed out in the box it should work
the ref had a clear view and i still won the penalty
i checked the replay and saw that i dived just before i made contact

I have never successfully dived in any PES, so I don't bother with it, I'm just glad the success rate is minimal as I could see all the PES noobs using it online...

i know what buttons to press but sadly can't pull it off... i am wondering when you hear the 'omfff' sound as the players run into each other that is a clue to when you can attempt a fall? there must be some indicator that tells you that a 'dive' is plausible??
saying this i am still dirty about the way Australia was knocked out of WC2006 =(
