I want to be sure ... Do konami leaders listen to our suggestions ?
Do they care about what we say ?
Do they aware that they must beat fifa or just relesase a game and lose all pes fans to fifa ?

I hope they care and listen carefully this time .
Thanks

Look, seriously now, PES fans need to get realistic, unless they do miricles this year, its highly unlikely they can surpass fifa this year, the gap is just too big. They need to do what fifa did, forget the stupid gimmicks. Build a proper foundation for this year, then keep building on it and aim to be back on top in a few years.

The re building process comes with allowing fans to give feedback.

You know what I saw on EA forum the other day

"The fifa 10 feedback forum"

And the game aint even out yet.

I thought about doing a feeback thread for here, but those fuckers at konami wouldnt listen anyways.

I hope Konami realizes that Pes needs a next gen feel to it. But again, time will tell.

I think this sums it up pretty well:

__________

'We've listened to fans - and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 will benefit', publisher tells MCV

Konami has admitted mistakes with its last PES games – and told MCV there has been a ‘sea of change’ in attitude at the publisher in preparation for the next title.

The firm told MCV that it was aware that fans of the series felt frustrated by the last game – particularly the community elements – and said it felt confident of a more positive reaction to PES 2010.

The publisher said that PES developer Winning Eleven Productions had ‘opened dialogue’ with fans during development – an approach Konami will continue through the game’s release.

“When I started looking at what we’d done right and wrong on PES 2009 back in October I found plenty of opportunities, but the stand out factor was the frustration fans felt trying to communicate with Konami,” PES team leader Jon Murphy told MCV.

“This time, we began with gathering product feedback, which were passed to the team.

“The developer has started to open up and we’re already seeing results.”

PES 2010 is due for release later this year, and Konami will hope that sales of the game can catch nearest rival FIFA this time round.

“This isn’t the start of a new process for Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, it’s a sea of change in attitude for now and the future,” added Murphy. “We’re not going to get everything right straight away, but we are striding off in the right direction.”

_______

Make note of that last sentence. It might not be perfect, but they understand what the fans want and expect. In my opinion they're obviously in this race with Fifa to win it, and from a football gamer's perspective that can only be good news. If PES 2010 is better than Fifa 2010 (nobody knows jack yet btw), then it will make EA work harder, and so on. It can only mean good things, and the attitude is what's important. EA's Fifa team think they are absolutely the cat's ass (insider info btw) and there's so much money involved with this market that there's no way they will give up any time soon. Konami are the vetrans and the originators though, and my money is on them to pull through with some epic versions in the the next 5 years. Hopefully PES 2010 will be one of them, but if not, it's only the beginning of what promises to be a bright future for anyone who enjoys soccer gaming.

informative post iamcanadianeh

but if konami seriously listened to our complaints, I believe they would have been more specific in their "improvements list".

The other day I called the Konami office, specifically asked for PES department for the questions and customer feedback. The lady put me on hold for 25 minutes and came back saying they'll get back to me by e-mail if I specify the questions on the phone.

I told her, "Ok, sure," and proceeded to explain my questions about the game. It was about an online feature not working in my game and I wanted to get it working as fast as possible.

That was two weeks ago and I still haven't gotten an e-mail or phone call or anything.

A year ago when my Madden didn't work, EA not only gave me the solution on the phone, but e-mailed me within 24 hours to check if everything was cool and also for the satisfaction survey.

Maybe i's because I live in the U.S. and Konami is a Japanese company, but I gave them two WEEKS!!

I don't think it should be used as an excuse but FIFA do have the official liscence and they probably have more money to make a better game. If Konami is having problems; I say, why change what isn't broken. The ps2 versions were good. Tweak it a bit to make them better, not change the entire game to make it worse. I don't understand how a next gen game can be worse than it's predescessor.

EA have money and liscences, yes, true. But I think we can all agree that most die-hard PES fans know what they want in a football game, in fact, I think the general majority of PES fans know.

From my experiences, most FIFA fans just play and accept what's given to them, and can enjoy it because it is a good game (you can't deny it's good, but I understand that people prefer PES), and it has the graphics and the official kits and badges etcetera etcetera.

Anyway, EA has funds, and Konami have brains on both sides of the game, undoubtedly, they have to take advantage of this, and after the 360 version of PES6, you'd think 2008 and 2009 would be a huge step in the right direction. 2010 can be a major success if they've actually listened to the fans.

I can't believe some people still thinks this way... so all the way to year 2010 -and- you still think the game should be 8 Directional??

I'll be honest with you, I think your post is utterly conservative... if you just want to "Tweak it a bit to make them better". Dude, play the PS2 versions, ever since PES5 they are all Minor Tweaks to the game.

But please, if you are not interested in progress, Why in hell would you buy a Next Gen Console??

The PS2 versions WHERE good... at the moment I find them very boring and one-dimensional. And so will millions of other fans, because that's what happens after you play the same old bull for long enough.

how about they cut the crapp and get together and make a football game for all to enjoy. but that will never happen to many ignorant and greedy people out their money makeing machines the only time they decide to change something is when either company is loseing money or not making money. who needs a game every year anyways go bak to making a game complete before you make it. 12 moths to make a whole new game no wonder why its pants. KONAMI relized that their game is rubbish hands down. and now they want to change i bet my bottom dollar half off us will be bak here in oct 09 saying nooooooooo they did it again. il take my pes 5,6 thank you konami but you will never beat that.unless you go bak to what made pes the game it is not messi not ronaldo not licence not uefa not marketing not hockey football 6 2 5 0 etc etc the moment they went main streem and got filthy rich off us they do waht we all do. CASH IN whille it last.

Leave fifa out of it

I don't agree with the idea that PES needs to be better than FIFA, it doesn't and never will work like that, FIFA has always sold copies even when the PES community was saying that it was rubbish, PES has still being selling even though its not the game we all expected. It only has to be better than last years effort and it again will sell. As for listening for the fans, didn't I read somewhere that they have got a PR company on board, in fact the same one they have had for a few years! for me they are not doing their job so I would start there Seabass, start changing the image \ perception, a better company may start advising you better on what is really required if you are going to get close to winning over those that sit on the PES \ FIFA fence.

I disagree as i still and always have preffered PES to FIFA and still think PES2009 is better than FIFA09! FIFA is still sluggish, less responsive, poorly animated and give you less controll over shot placement! PES is and will always be a better football sim!

Thanks for all comments PES FANS , i wonder if we can get involved and let our voice be heard to seabas or to konami leader , as example we make a group of us can call them and tell them what we need to see in pes 2010 or if you guys have any other ideas so we can influence konami leaders , not only write in the forum
we must do something PES FANS if we really do love this game to improve
have a good day

It all comes down to this. There's no football game right now that you can experience the full power of a ps3 or 360 over ps2 or xbox..
They both should have been much better. The football games were outclassed by other games.
LOOK AT GTA IV. How big and how long is that game. Graphics? Awesome considering the massive enviroment and the things you can do.
Compared to the ps2 versions, GTA IV was really a huge success and really pushed the ps3's power. That is a proper next gen game unlike the currnt football games. Sad to say this but it i the truth.

I HATE 8-DIRECTIONAL MOVEMENT!!! I can't stress this enough. Tell me this; would you rather play your PS2 version of PES or your PS3 version. I didn't buy PES09 but I do own '08 and I can tell you, without hesistation, that I much rather play WE9 on the PS2 than PES08 on the PS3.

As with progress, I surely do not think KONAMI improved anything (Graphics, yes. And that's just about it). The fact that I played my PS2 versions of the game longer than I did the PS3 versions tells me how much of a difference there are between the two generations and how much the next gen games of PES thus far sucks.

Furthermore, I didn't want anyone to take the tweaking bit literally. What I was trying to say was that, if you were gonna make PES08 worse than the WE9, I much rather prefer another tweaked game.

FYI: The reason I bought a next gen console is, not only because I was anticipating the best futbol game ever from KONAMI, but also for the millions of other games that peaked my interest (And these surely didn't disappoint).

I simply have to disagree with you my friend. PES needs to be BETTER than FIFA for PES to win any one over. Think of it like this: You go to a store and you see two apples: Both of them are priced for a very good price but one of them is fresh and the other one looks like a withered plum. Which one will you buy?

Will you buy the putrid smelling apple-plum because it was somewhat of an improvement over what was in place of it last year. It's capitalism. :)

PES has gone two years without a good title and even though I'm a PES fan, I value where and how I spend my money.

I would rather donate money to poor children in Africa rather than to lazy programmers who think they can get away with anything.

lool i agree with you very true mate but in this case the game is in a box with a game that no one has played apart from the unfinish demo that we all will get to try and a pretty box with some football stars on it why.? simple marketing they dont care about us. fifa kicked them up the arse and now they jump shiped and say we gonna make a great game.( is this not what you are supposed to do every time) when have we ever hered konami talk so much bs about a game unless they not its not good. e,g pes 123456 ps2 apart from maybe 56 but not a word and not 1 superstar on the box i hope they just take their time il wait 2 years gladdly for a game why rush it. i just dont get it unless konami needs the money it is as simple as that no matter what they put out someone is gonna buy it regadless. i will buy the game because pes is my football game support them and just maybe 1 day a good guy will come along for konami and work hard on a game for the fans because with out us rember konami their is no pes. i have been wating 3 yers now for a good pes game come on people go to the safe and play the old pes. for a day or two and than you will see what a football game is all about jesus. wat do they just move on and forget their roots or what i play pes 456 all the time. (they could proberly sell an eskmo ice iff they stuck some football stars face on it lool)

It really pushed the 360's power, too. It's responsible for the death of two different consoles in my case, sucks that I now owe my brother a 360.

The answer is an obvious Yes, if by us you mean the target market of the game. Konami essentially want the same thing as us, that is an excellent game worth the £40 it sells for. Too many people bitch and moan about the fact that Konami fail to include some random request, these random requests are obviously subjective, and the fact is that everyone can name something that could be improved, but its too much to ask that they listen to everyone. A lot of people see the online element as a key area for improvement, for me, I dont care about online, all I want is the ability to play 2 player leagues/cups by controlling my mates opponents and vice versa, But for some random dude in anywhereshire the key element for him will be the ability to change sock length, or licences, or hairstyles, edit mode, BAL, Master league, commentary or boots. These are all way too subjective to be realisticly addressed. Konami in my opinion dont get enough credit for the awesome titles they release year after year, yes there is room for improvement, but they do improve on an annual basis and thats all we can really ask for. Seabass is a legend, PES is an awesome game, I just think people should cut them some slack more often, especially on a PES site.
