Bethesda will pick and choose which mods can be used on console and it will be managed through that Bethesda.net service You can bet it will be limited to minor aesthetic stuff not game changing stuff.

Really impressed with what they've shown off so far. The crafting system and the settlement building should be excellent.

I don't see the problem with this, it makes sense considering the console market. Imagine if every mod was allowed and they bricked loads of consoles. Everyone would go crazy!

Some good news!
“Just like Skyrim, there are mods that can break your game pretty wildly, and so we have some safety things on the console for that, but at the same time, we are going to let people break their game,” game director Todd Howard explained to IGN.

Console mods won’t be subjected to much of an approval process, either. At least, not if Howard and co can help it. The hope is that transferring them from PC will be a snap.

“We don’t want to [be heavy handed about approval],” he said. “We’ll see how we have to go through that. The plan is that it goes through Bethesda.net, but... outside of things that we would normally take down—we take down things on Steam Workshop if it’s got things that are illegal, or things like that—we’ll do the same thing.”

Not once the mods come along. Assuming they even allow texture mods to console.

Also, 1080p 30fps best case scenario. No texutre mods on console because they'd fuck the whole thing up - screw that. We'll get high resolution texture packs, likely from Bethesda to begin with.

They will have downgraded the engine to accommodate of course but if we can work around it then fine.

I really don't get why people complain about post apocalyptic games being brown, do they expect a world covered in radiation to be full of green grass and massive forests?

The argument with Fallout 3 was that enough time had passed since the bombs hit for things to have started growing again. Personally, I didn't have any issue with how it looked.

If any of you are pre ordering this on steam and receive the "Dota announcer pack" it'd be well appreciated if you have no use for it.

ALL story elements and spoilers in spoiler tags. General thoughts on obvious things anyone would experience in the game no matter what they choose to do can be posted in plain sight.

I'm not going to shy away from extremely lengthy bans for anyone posting spoilers.
