actually, there's shag all good on wiki about it. I watched the trailer, looks very interesting, just wondering, is it management only or do you control the team during the games?

Yeah you control the team aswell and play as them, aswell as managing the 'cards'.

I had the trial of it on fifa 09, so obviously some things will have changed, but the core gameplay is that you collect these cards, aka players, from packs, just like you would in real life. Then you make a team from the best cards you have .Then you play as that team :\

I always see it as a waste of money tbh, not my sort of thing. Sort of reminds me of the Yu Gi Oh games, but instead of dragons and shit, you get rooney and torres.

I might give it a go as theres a trial available for 5 games. I'm not into the management aspect of Fifa tjough, just ike to sit down and play a few games straight off the bat.

I downloaded this for the first time last night (didn't bother with it on 09) and I have to say it's an excellent little add on.

It really appeals to the geek in me and I do recommend it, it's a lot of fun playing as what is essentially a made up team.

Do you have to buy player packs and such with a load of players in? If so, how much do they cost and how many players do you get?

You earn in game coins for victories against other playes, torunaments.....and use these to buy player packs.

I just bought a premium bronze pack for 750. In it was a free silver pack! Thx.

I'm running two teams. Baddarlona and Baddarlona A. I'll be playing games with the latter on my own, the former with my nephew.

I've played two games beating Trabzonspor 1-0 and Boca 4-0. Hope to start with Baddarlona when my nephew gets in from school.

Well the one in 09 had it so you could play it without spending more than the initial fee, but there is an option to buy packs with actual money through the playstation store method. But as I said, that is purely optional.

To be honest, I thought it was gonna be more like £7.99 to buy it, not the £3.99. Seems a sensible price

Done some research too, and it looks worth the money imo.

The £3.99 or 400msp is the only thing you have to spend..You can buy packs with real money aswell as with the coins you earn.

Its definately worth the purchase though!

Just checked there and you can buy the gold pack for 99c or a premium gold pack for 1.49 (Thats in euro)

I was having fun with this until I realised how ridiculously short player contracts are and how you need to buy the packs to get the possibility of extending said contracts, and how you'll be lucky to get 2 contact extensions per pack, yet you'll probably play about 6 games raising the funds to get one silver pack to allow extensions of about 6 games......

Screw it, I give up already.

Started this last night, and so far so good. I'm enjoying it quite a lot and getting the hang of it the more I play.

Decided to call my team Bezerham United (a merge of my nickname, Bez, and Rotherham United :happy and just now I've bought the Rotherham team badge, Atletico Madrid home kit and Man City away kit (the black one), they're all now in use

Still in the process of making my team up, but I'm bringing in good players to make the team better, slowly but surely.

In the 2 free Gold Packs you receive at the start, the most well-known and highest rated I managed to inherit are Gregory Coupet (79), John Arne Riise (81) and this defender called Jaliens, who's from AZ Alkmaar.

Since the start, the only played I've bought is Stephen Carr (77) for the right-back slot; reason for this is I haven't got many coins at all at the moment, and I'm determined not to spend over the odds for new players, I am putting bids in, but then right at the end people are jumping in with bids I cannot compete with...for now.

Currently got bids in for Steven Defour (150 coins), Wilson Palacios (400 coins) and Ab. Faye (150 coins), I'll be delighted if I can bring these in, all depends on whether people intervene or not, which will most likely happen :\
