FIFA 11 demo v pes 11 demo

Ive always been a pes player but last year got fifa(due to my ps3 breaking and it came with my new one). I would play it with other fifa players and would beat them the majority of the time even though they played fifa only. The problem with fifa I always thought was that it would get boring as you could do the same things over and over. Last years was probably slightly better than pes, this years I would say seems identical, apart from looking slightly brighter. I dont like in fifa how you never really feel like you have possession of the ball and it all feels very rushed. This years pes is such a better game and I hope it brings back alot of the old pes fans, so it is really appreciated. I was very open to purchasing fifa this year but after playing both demos I feel no need to. Before you would have to make excused for pes to fifa players but now I feel they will come to prefer it themselves.

I have changed my mind. after saying i thought fifa was better but having played a lot of games of fifa 11 i become bored. its just the same as it was 10years ago. i lvoe the menue the in game music. and all the licences.

i like the new passing in pes but it was the shootin and the refs that annoyed me.
but now im gettin used to the shooting.
the menu music is crap but its always been that way. i buy a game because i want a challange not because of team kits etc.

ill be buying pes this year

played both demo's and although i played FIFA much more because i downloaded it a day earlier,PES just destroys it.
FIFA is just sluggish, boring and has no soul.
thank GOD for demo's cause after the personality plus and pro passing promotion i was really getting both this year but hey i could've known it was just a load of crap.
every year they promise all the things they know they lack but for some strange reason with all their cash, they just can not fix this arcade game.
i say arcade because when every player on the field feels the same it can not be a simulation.
the graphics improved a little and i think MESSi's face looks a bit better in FIFA then PES this year.
the presentation as always just like food decorations are again nailed by FIFA,too bad the food doesn't taste the way it looks.
the ball is way too bouncy and floaty.
the most important thing i notice that is still there when i play FIFA is the feeling i get.
I feel absolutely nothing,no excitement,no pleasure when i string a few passes together and nothing even when i've just scored a goal that would make me jump out of my seat if scored in PES.
SO I'M SAYING IT AS POLITICALLY CORRECT AS I CAN JUST LIKE A FEW EVO-WEB MEMBERS ARE DOING IT FIFA IS JUST NOT FOR ME.

I m looking for a game that makes me want to watch all the replays of every tackle every trap, every miss, every defense splitting pass ,just because it looks and feels so real.
making me believe i am really controlling the best players in the world, giving me the feeling i just beat TERRY for a header, stopped MESSI from scoring a fantastic goal, winning the EPL with ARSENAL in style.
to play in BAL with my heroes against my villains.
this is what FIFA just can not do for me.

the PES demo felt strange at first seemed light and not heavy like i know it so my first 2 games made me wonder if they f***d it up.
but the passes started coming together in my third game and i was getting the hand on things, was understanding why it felt so light,it was the total freedom i was reading about on every PES fansite for a while now and boy is it noticeable.

dribbling is very loose and free but that's perfect because you don't have to break the controller to avoid a tackle, take that extra step to beat the defender it just feels fantastic

passing.
if you see the pass you can try it and the outcome relies on you and the player you are controlling.
long or short it doesn't matter it can be done.
unlike FIFA, PES did all it promised and if you can't feel it well don't force it maybe PES isn't for you.

defending.
well that is harder cause all this freedom makes the choices the attacker has difficult to predict so just like the real game defending is an art but i'm doing a good job if i do say so myself.

shooting.
now here is the strange part.
it feels light and some shots don't go in like i would like them to so here's the part i want to check out a little more before saying i like it or not.

the graphics are better and the players look great.

well that's what i think, so no FIFA for me this year.

sorry for bad english
i am not fifa fan but i am a football fan
pes 2011 passing likes fifa 2002,the ball never goas out on it seems ball is in wet grass
pes 2011 shooting improve than 2010 in 2010 the ball orbit only 0ne form in 2011 ball can orbit 2 form like real football that ball orbit or spin only 2 mode isnt it? in fifa ball orbit diffrent whenever you shoot
with this IDLE respect to pes every year the game never improve and game change 180 degree every year

The problem is that ANY NOOB CAN DEFEND WELL AGAINST GOOD PLAYERS.
But as I said. Let's leave it. Different opinions.

Mate read my posts!! Thats not the problem, IF YOUR A GOOD PLAYER NOOBS CANT DEFEND AGAINST YOU!!! Your opinion is formulated with a lack of knowledge if u think otherwise!

Ok, you defend fifa WAY TOO MUCH. It's useless to continue arguing with someone who can't take a negative comment towards his game.

 Of course not. That's an opinion not misinformation.
And as I said why is this even continuing??? It's useless. It's just an opinion. Don't go around saying that you're right because you're not. These are just different opinions.

has anybody put a man on the goal line during a free kick and the defender headed it away. fantastic feeling

You obviously won't agree so I'll just quit it here. different opinions.
But I had a friend come in to my place and he isn't a pro player and he could stop many attacks in fifa with constant pressure and AI pressure.
Anyway as I said, different opinions.
wait

Can opinions be wrong?

Yes..factually, ethically or morally wrong despite sincerity.

No, but they can be stupid

No. An opinion is an individuals point of view - it is neither right nor wrong and does not have to be based upon fact.

lol, the old "it's my opinion" excuse!! YAWN... I'll put it this way then.. I'm discrediting your OPINION based on your lack of knowledge!!

anyway, enough of you lack of knowledge lets move along shall we!!

been playing more and more, I decided to give PES2011 a real good play this time, and actually my opinion of PES2011 has gone down from what I first thought, every team feels the same, all the players feel the same too and short passing is shocking!! Its definitely better than PES2010 but not a close as I first thought.

Can opinions be wrong?
FROM THE OTHER'S POINT OF VIEW, YES THEY CAN, BUT FOR YOU, NO.

No, but they can be stupid
For someone who doesn't respect other's views yes. But he's will end up being stupid in the end.

No. An opinion is an individuals point of view - it is neither right nor wrong and does not have to be based upon fact.
It's what I said. It's not based on facts, it's my view. If you can't understand this then you're not normal.

When I read BULLSHIT like this, I know it's you because you're stupid and disrespectful.
LACK OF KNOWLEDGE?
IT's an opinion. Lack of knowledge is when you don't know something NOT when you think something is bad and needs fixing.
You're actually less intelligent than I first thought.

See, I won't comment about this because it's your view. BUT DOES IT MAKE IT A FACT? NO.

In the end, posts like that remind me of how some fanboys can't even read negative comments and accept them.

Sorry guys but i prefer fifa 11! im not a fan boy or anything like tht but it is just amazing. of course it has its faults but overall it is the better game! graphics wise looks better! love the crowd the pitch. I specially love the new pk system it makes it so much more intense. can't wait till it comes out! pes is a major improvement from last yr and hopefully the can keep improving more because with the licenses they have now im going to have to buy both =). but for now fifa 11 is what im going to get for sure!

I agree with you, fifa is the better in my opinion, then add online, especially clubs, then it is head and shoulders above.

Just a note, to anyone trying the fifa game, go in to wireless settings and change all the controls to "manual" now you have a game!!!

I've played both demo & pes is far the better game, yes FIFA is good but nothing different to the world cup version that came out only a few months ago. Pes feels like a whole new game to pes 10 and after playing pes for 4 or 5 games, playing the demo for FIFA feels alittle restricted in what you can do, not as free flowing as pes, I usually buy both games but I will only by buying pes this year. Well done konami for a what could be the best pes ever!

teams in demo : fifa 11 passing : pes 2011 graphics : pes 2011 player faces : pes 2011 dribbling : both camera : pes 2011 overall : pes 2011 is better

Personally, I liked them both. Fifa feels VERY similar to the 2010 version. Not a huge complaint, given how good that was.
PES actually -I think- feels like a 'different' game for the first time in years. The camera angle, the shooting, passing, movement and the power-bar tweaks all feel new. Time will tell if this is a good thing, but I remain (hopelessly) optimistic...
