Unless you sign some players they should not be more than a 4 star team, doubt EA will be that honest though, I imagine you'll be looking at 4 1/2 again.

Yeah, most likely.

I bet Man City will be one of the best on the game, if not the best.

They'll have paid EA an astronomical amount to get them heavily involved in the FIFA 12 advertising and everything afterall.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right City have paid EA to make City one of the best teams on the game... or maybe it's because they have one of the best squads in the world? Who knows?

Glad too see simon humber has taken charge of Career mode design, hopefully CM wont be a fucking travesty this year. Humber impressed me with his work and attention to detail on the world cup game, also cm now has morale and form thank god, the issue with EA is youre always waiting for bugs to pop up, would love to be able to play a bugless career mode.

I am looking to pre-order FIFA 12 and I see that there is a special edition with 18 Gold Packs for use within the Ultimate Team mode. I have never ventured forth into the Ultimate Team mode so I don't have a clue as to what it is all about. Can anyone bring me up to speed?

It's only £2.00 more than the regular edition, otherwise I wouldn't be bothered as Career Mode is where I will spend most of my time.

Check out YouTube videos.

It's basically a trading card game. You buy packs of cards (or cards separately on their own on the market, kind of like an ebay, where people auction off their cards) and then use them to build your team. There's player cards then stuff like manager/contract/formation cards as well.

The first time you play it, it will probably take over your life and become very addictive. By FIFA 13 there's a chance you'll be bored of it though.

Or, like some people, never warm to the mode at all.

It is decent, or at least the way it was set up in FIFA 09 it was. You would be given coins for entering the player into your "album", altough you would also lose the player from your squad. If you completed a team (badge, kits and 11 players) you'd be given 5,000 coins. You could pick up average gold players for 150-250 and would get 350-450 for sticking them in your album. Problem ones were kits, I found. Both of Atalanta's were a pain. Usually up for 7,000 each! :-/

It's annoying that they are listed as new, they were just taken out of the World Cup game for Fifa 11. It's ridiculous that Chile and Ivory Coast weren't in the game anyway,

Always thought it was odd that Wales were never included, it's no less of a market than Northern Ireland, for example.
