I'd welcome the return of stretchers to football games, or was it just PES. Something I would also like is for the Injury Prone trate to mean something. You could have Owen Hargreaves running for a ball, only for him to pull up with a hamstring injury; or, Ledley King jumps for header, only for him to twist his knee on landing.

New defending system fucking sucks.

I can tackle fine in the tutorial but on the pitch I can never seem to get the ball unless I intercept.

I also preferred the dribbling/feint system of FIFA 11.

I don't even know how to 'precision dribble' anymore.

Previously I simply used L2 or LT. What do I do now? :S

From the sound of the defensive system, you should be able to prevent these more readily with intelligent defending. The API is going to be the problem as ever with the defending.

Defending is fucking really difficult, it will take a good while to get used to. The computer is simply waltzing past me most of the time. I imagine it will be a lot more fun playing against a human opponent. If you're both shit at defending it will be goals galore.

Does anyone find they always lose 50-50 loose balls etc. Countless times the balls been bouncy around in the box and even If I'm closer I always get beaten to the ball. Gets pretty frustrating. And just when I've think I've got the hang of the defensive tackling, Messi comes along and dribbles past my whole team and scores.

Yes. I also find that the computer seems to always be stronger than my players, so something that causes me to lose possession won't for them.

Getting the hand of defending now. It's so much more rewarding, because it all comes down to your patience and timing.

Beat Barca 1-0 with Dortmund (Legendary of course, I don't play any other setting). Had a few last ditch tackles and blocks, Got a counter attack deep into the second half. 3 v 1. Gotze with a looping pass to Barrios. 1 on 1 with Valdes. Bottom left corner.

Wilshere is an absolute beast on this game.

Not really, tbh. Or maybe I haven't realised it because I've avoided interceptions and turning into danger. Keeping the ball seems easy to me already. The final pass is still a challenge though.

I find that using the Jockey button then when the player gets close to you switch to holding B then you should be in prime position to win the ball.

I hate defending against Messi the little shit. I used the Jockey button and used RB to make my teammate contain him then when I got close to him I thought I'll hold B to go shoulder to shoulder or try and put him off. Neither of what I said worked and he got past 2 of my CB's before squaring for Sanchez to tap in.

Thats the only thing I hate...containing that little shit!

To be fair, that's exactly what we see in real life.

I'm liking the demo, enjoying the challenge of defending properly rather than button mashing the tackle button. Haven't scored in 3 games yet but this is the first FIFA game I've played, and will probably buy, in around a decade.
