after I wrote this I noticed my post above so this seems to be more than an update of what I wrote a little over a month ago. forgot that I wrote that. I am really impressed with EA keeping up with transfers this January. I just downloaded the latest update tonight. They have made several updates during the transfer window.

I had a feeling that live match would force them to make for frequent updates and they have come through well.

Not only to they have transfers up to date but formations have been much improved. Playing live match with Newcastle right now and Sissoko is positioned right behind Cisse. Impressed.

that being said, I wish Drogba was at Galatasaraay and not on free agents list. You would think this is one they would pay special attention to. Maybe because he is still hasn't played a match for them and not joined since AFCON.

I want to punch my computer screen everytime I go on the FIFA Creation Centre. Such poor server speed. Tried bookmarking a handful of created CONCACAF teams and after each bookmark I couldn't search for the next team on my list....came back null even though i knew the team existed.

I am not sure if there is another website I visit that is as poor service as the Creation Centre. Probably because if it was that bad I would never attempt to go back.

edit: except for this site and the odd confrontation adblock and google chrome is giving me lately. I had to refresh 9 or 10 times to get back to this page

My guide to playing the CPU offline

1) Don't shoot the ball, cpu defenders will just block it
2) Don't cross the ball into the box, cpu defenders will just head it as a thru ball to their CF
3) Don't attempt to challenge the CPU for a free ball, they will always win
4) If you tackle the ball away from the CPU defender, don't go after it, cpu will react to it quicker...just enjoy the beauty of the out of balance stagger animation
5) Likewise if the CPU tackles the ball away from you, just give in, the free ball will be picked up by the CPU with lightening speed or somehow be a perfect pass to another CPU player...just enjoy the beauty of the out of balance stagger animation

So just enjoy a leisurely day in the back two-thirds with a few beautiful back passes and you will have a dandy time.

EA lucked out that I don't know how to properly save the correct segment of an uploaded video

1) Playing against the CPU - the CPU crosses , the ball lands on top of the net, travels to the other end and falls off, no whistle. Since the ball falls right in front of an opposing player I make a desperate tackle, penalty call ensues, penalty converted in the 89th min, I lose.

2) I said screw this and didn't save the game in my career and I play it again. I am beating Shalke 1-0 in the 86th minute when the CPU makes their last substitution, Pukki as a FW. However Pukki is invisible......dribbles through the midfield, all is see is the ball moving erratically left, right, back, forward and I had no idea what was going on. Pukki shoots from just outside the area, scores the equalizer.

3) I then subbed by two CBs to try and deal with this since I didn't want to start this match again. However, now my two CBs are invisible. So invisible Pukki cuts through my defense again since I don't know where my CBs are. Shoots, scores.

the invisible players didn't even show up on the radar and when my 2 replaced CBs left the field they high-fived the invisible CBs on their way off the pitch.

Needless to say, I just shut my PS3 off in disgust.

I've had the invisible problem before and can go one better: I substitute Figo for Romario, Platini for Baggio and Matthaus for Redondo (don't ask).

When I return to action, all is fine.

The next time the ball goes up the pitch, Figo has it. He passes to Platini. Platini passes back to Redondo. The ball goes out again. Baggio is back on the pitch, he passes it to Romario who finds Matthaus. Ball goes out. Now Redondo is back but Romario is there and so is Platini.

I was getting so pissed off with it, I nearly deleted my FUT team. I had items in the Trade Pile, so I couldn't. I'd like to say, "maybe that's for the best", but I really can't.

I hate to admit it because I have grown to dislike Konami due to their latest installments, but PES is better than FIFA this year.

I tried FIFA last night and was expecting to be blown away, but I was disappointed. It's very pretty, the commentary is awesome, the menus are great, the options and different modes are cool and handballs are a sweet touch. So many leagues and clubs to pick from as well, but PES is far superior in gameplay and player graphics and motion.

I was playing with 5 hardcore gamers and they all demanded we move back to PES, which is a lot harder to master but a lot more rewarding. You also feel like you have complete control over the players and what they do.

Amazingly enough, PES is a better simulation.

My final verdict is that they both stink anyway. At this time and age I expect fluid body movement, FFS. Neither gives you this. Is it so fucking hard?

The perfect game this year, would be FIFA menus and overall package, with PES playability.

i bet we lose 5 or more games to 1 win on that last game of the night when several members drop out. Could just be my imagination but the change in team balance always seems to hurt us.

who do you choose as your on screen footballer.

so many are so cartoonish that I have to go thru 7 or 8 to pick a new one. Chicharito looks ridiculous. Guardarro looks like Beetlejuice. Pirlo just not right. I had van Persie for a long time because he doesn't look that bad. Switched to a poor, but passable Lukaku recently.

I bought FIFA 13 3 days ago and have had a few days of work and played 50 games online, I love it. Love not having lag every game! Every match I've played has been perfect connection and one I came up was really laggy so I just exit the game before 5 mins, prob solved, been able to play as my beloved Newcastle every game and come up a real variety of teams and types of players, pro has been majorly dropped FIFA had my curiosity...now it has me attention,
