Exactly! You could conceivably have a one star team with lightning quick players.

^I actually should have included other features in addition to speed because its the whole picture.
Separately, so I did buy the career pro pack for $1.99 this morning. It allows me to take a creation centre tournament and use it in Career. I had downloaded someone else's tournament and not able to export his teams on the C-Centre website so thought maybe I could do it on the PS3 so I could edit this stranger's teams. You can't. OH well.
However, the only edit I needed to do was to change one player who had a wrong number and you can edit kit numbers in Career mode. So $1.99 to change one player from #15 to #33 was worth it in my book. You see what kind of mental problems I have.
Problem however, is the downloaded US league tournament was appropriately set to start in spring and end in summer and match times in Tournament mode can be edited to reflect actual kickoff. However in Career, the season starts with the typical europe September and ends in December (only 24 fixtures) and I cannot control the kickoff time so not sure if I will even use. Do you see again what sort of mental problems I have.

I do agree that the CPU opponents' players' abilities exceed what their stats suggest, including speed. I often see my speedy winger being caught up by a large defender. I pause the game to see his stats.....55 for speed! I only play online now.

individual demonstrations of super ability are there for sure. One thing I was trying to get to and may not be able to convey in writing is how all matches become relatively similar. So a match up of two 1 star clubs feels no different to a matchup of two 4 star clubs (other than for a few big name players). Joe Schmoe RW for a 1 star club flies down the field, stops on a dime (or a pence), changes direction like Ronaldo because it seems each game gets set to same relative feel. But his varies match to match. Sometimes 1 star matchups are so fast that a slight touch of pass will send the ball like a streak of lightening. Other times I do feel a difference between 1 and 4 star matchups. I often play the 1 star matchup followed immediately by choosing a club like Juve and not overwhelmed by the difference in feel.

I started a new premier league career with West Brom but EA allows us to promote/relegate in career...pretty sure we couldnt' do that last year. so leagues set up for 2013-14 now.
one reason I started it is that my Creation Centre career mode won't allow me to play because the Centre is down so it doesn't recognize I paid the 5bucks for the career mode pack. that burns me up; they need to detatch that after you download your teams and pay your extra money so it works on or offline. damn you EA

I swear this game is fucked. I just got promoted to D3 in Seasons (started playing it Saturday, so I'm tearing through the opposition like nothing). I had two games to go. 13 points. 16 to get promoted, 19 to win the title of that Division. Won the 1st game. Then it promotes me straight to D3 without giving me the chance to go for the title. This has happened in clubs before too. I'm telling you, this game is messed up.

I've had that before. I've also had one where I've won a match, but the result doesn't seem to have been registered, because the EA servers booted me as it was returning to the Seasons menu. However, it turns out the the result had actualy been regsitered, but not displayed in the results history. I've won titles and promotions when it looked like I still needed points to do so. FIFA 13 has had the most bugs I've ever seen in a football game.

Woo hoo! Just won Seasons D1 for the first time ever. That's the online treble: Seasons, FUT and Clubs (x2).
Wow what teams do you use? I'm sick of facing the 5 star teams all the time. Drives me close to insanity.

Anyone ever have a problem of the game freezing after finishing a match in FUT? Every match I play now, once I get past the player ratings etc and the league points I'm on, it freezes. It does save the result but it's still rather annoying.
I only play offline matches because it's not my game and I don't have the code to play online mode.

I usually try to mix it up between 3 & 4 stars, sometime I'll go down to 2, with the occasional 5 star flutter.
I won it with Bordeaux (4 stars). I was battering my opponents, but then he went 1-0 up, making me think, "here we go again". However, I came back and won 2-1 (two second half goals), with Obraniak scoring a first-time lobbed volley with his weaker foot. Lovely!
Despite this league win, I can't win a cup to save my life!
