My word. My first game online was bloody epic.tried changing the controls to pes's but the time ran out while I was changing the controls. So the first half ended up 2 down and was all over the shop. 2nd half channeled dat fifa 98 and came back and beat Bayern using fiorentina 3-2. Epic stuff. Didn't have a Scooby what the defence buttons were and only won by playing proper methodical football. Fucking wrecked as well. Going to have to buy this game.

And are you one of the better fifa players? I feel like I learnt a bit playing you though. Just need to get a bit more street wise.
I'mso used to beasting everyone on PES it was quite humiliating at times:D forgetting what buttons are what at times as well.

I am probably one of the better players judging on how I've fared against other members on the site but probably not the best. I was aware that you were probably not at your optimum state which is why I was dicking about a bit with the goalie and such. You're not the shittest I've played as you did a pretty good job defensively, making it hard to break through.

I felt confident defensively reading the play, just at times getting confused with the buttons due to unfamiliarity.Felt hopeless at timesattacking even though I put some nice football together at times (rarely) Certainly one of the reasons why I excel at PES being good at anticipating the play.. again with the length of time it takes you to get through the month of July when starting a new Career. Too many transfer offers, at least 18 emails, and news stories of players I don't even care to read about.

got through it, played the first game, beat Napoli with the CPU trying obvious cheating to equalize over the final 5 min (like playing against players on rockets). One of those one-game cups matches so big confetti celebration and my game locks.

I should have stopped and saved before playing that game. Now I have to go through the july calendar all over again. can't even write this post without having to keep stopping to get out of inbox, go to calendar, try and advance. I am going to frickin scream.

Bet I lose that opening match by 2 goals now

and this damn song with the computer voice telling me that I have to dig myself to find gold. almost pulled an Original? and snapped my disc.

You know what the commentary is even worse than PES'S.
At least PES'S is comically bad. Fifa's is just so repetitive. The amount of times my goalkeeper "not had his best game, but that's probably his best save he'll ever make" Or the old "our doctor on the sideline":durant2:


The lack of control in the formation screen is also abysmal. One thing that FIFA lacks is any tactical battle like PES has.

Man, that just takes me back to the PES' on the PS2 where you would spend a good 5-10mins preparing your team before the match. It was great.

I was playing Seasons last night and needed one win to get promoted to D1, with two matches remaining. I was winning 1-0 with half-time approaching. The disc freezes and I have to turn my PS3 off. I couldn't be arsed to turn it on again. I better not have been given a DNF, otherwise I'll be forced to buy a win from the EASFC Store. I know I'm owed a lot of them.

Also, I won a game 36-0, yesterday. I went 3-0 up within 15 minutes and my opponent just lost it. He kept on scoring own goals from kick-off. I'm not sure if I preffer that to DNFs.

^i am sure he was waiting for you to disconnect. but good job to make him work for it. Probably some 10yr old kid.

i played a drop-in match and our keeper would pick the ball up, walk over to goal, and kick it in, over and over. At least I could disconnect from that no problem.

I played a bit of a few Career Mode games last night and I see that the same bollocks that happened when you played the CPU in FIFA 12, still happens this year - every team you play has 11 super-men, who all have perfect technique and undrainable stamina, and they all play like Barcelona.

I have been playing a good deal of a tournament full of 1 star teams, with most players 56-59 overall. The game speed varies so much that some matches I have these low rated players flying like Walcott. So I follow what you are saying. A 56 rating player should not be playing like a 82 rated player.

Similarly, if I am playing a 4 or 5 star team like UTD in a league cup match against a League 1 team, that league 1 team shouldn't be outpacing me, or performing first touch feats of Leo Messi.

Lastly, a question for all of you. I have downloaded a tournament from the creation centre. Not sure if anyone else has done this but we cannot edit another person's tournament online in the creation centre. I also cannot edit any players after I downloaded them. I discovered that I can buy a Career Mode pack that allows me to use these tournament downloaded sides in a career (costs $1.99) in addition to the tournament this stranger created. However, will this allow me to either edit players or edit squads so I can bring players into the team? So unclear from the online description of what this pack can do other than allow creation centre teams into a career mode.
