Started playing the demo at full manual instead of the normal settings as I had been finding it way too easy and simple, feels a lot better now. I'll need to drop the difficulty down a bit so I can have more of the ball and afford to give it away more often when trying but I only really need to nail down ground passing, I've always used manual long passing and shooting shouldn't be that hard to get used to.

I played fifa12 on professional most of the time. I have played the 13 demo on world class most of the time. When I took the demo back to professional I was disappointed to see action I complained about in 12...namely, the CPU just dribbling all over the pitch without passing. so unrealistic. So I really blame the difficulty level on that now. But I have problem beating the game on world class. I think I will go world class and turn down the CPU marking, shot accuracy, and pass accuracy and see how I fair. Probably 10 straight losses in store for me.
I've kind of been the same. To be honest I tend to lose games a lot in it on the high difficulties but the issue isn't even that for me, it's just the ease at which I could play through the opposition on any difficulty bar Legendary (and even on that at some times) if I really wanted to, and it just didn't feel right. I could probably whip around the AI on all difficulties bar Legendary (and on that I could still hold my own, although in some matches it just kicks the crap out of me). Now it's quite a challenge and at the same time I can pull off more intricate stuff in the future when I get more used to playing with manual passing. I remember trying to play manual a good few times in FIFA 10 which worked OK but this year feels like the first time like I actually have to put the correct power on short passes and as surprising as it sounds that one change makes playing on manual a whole lot different to me.
Best thing about manual passing is lobbing keepers with the long pass button though, it was ridiculous how many of those I scored in 10 and it was so fun every time, even got a few from around 20-30 yards away. :tongue:

Yeah. They sign a contract with EA though not to release it before thursday. But they do let them out on the Wednesday unless it's a massive release ( I remember one of the COD games they had to release it on the thursday and people got it late and moaned).
I have the early access version on the Xbox but I'm looking forward to getting it on the PS3 as I can build my VP.

any problem with your online pass? I can access match day, it downloads rosters etc, but then I can't play online because it tells me I can't access my online pass. very odd. Would have like to go H2H when I saw you login.
EDIT: I read online that sometimes you have to reboot your PS3 and start up Fifa again to connect. Once I did that I was able to enter my online code and had access so you can ignore the question.

Game plays better than the demo. Players have lost the skatey feel, first touch has a completely different feel. You really feel the difference when you start up field with a dribble; feels much more real. I would say dribbling over all feels much different from the demo.
If you try to play defense like it is FIFA12 you are going to get embarrassed.
AI is very good. Not used to some of the runs so I don't react to get a pass off to a great run by Kagawa or another player. EA sure gave Sterling some pace - matchday game against Liverpool had him terrorizing me (kept Suarez off the scoresheet so mission accomplished).
Matchday live is cool but disappointed the real formations are not used. EA has put in a default 4-4-1-1 for Utd from last year instead of 4-2-3-1 and it carries over to Matchday.
I think First Touch might interfere with headers in the box. Seems like the game has some new deflection technology in the box which is nice. However, on two crosses my headers deflected wildly out of the box instead of a nice directed header to the net. Maybe my stick control is bad. However, both times it was with a player that likely does not have a good header accuracy (e.g., Nani). But these were rapid collisions in the opposite direction. Will have to play more to really be sure.
Regardless, gonna have fun with this.

There should still be a few knocking about. Jason Euell, I think is there anyway. Reo-Coker, Patrick Agyemang, Neil Sullivan is still playing. Obviously I'll have to be creative.
