How good are all you guy's at this game who take part in clubs?
Do you all play on legendary difficulty?
Just wondering what level I need to be at to hang with you guys.

I play on Legendary setting. I don't always win though.

We had two pretty good teams last FIFA. A lot more wins than losses in both teams. Don't worry about you're level straight away. You'll be fine if you play with us consistently.

Playing online is completely different to offline when it comes to difficulty. Just make sure your comfortable with the game, what passes you can/can't make, when to shoot etc.

It's been a humbling process changing over from PES where I was the nuts to being average on Fifa. I've come a long way from the hilarity of my defending when I first started playing the demo last week and another week with the pc demo where you can play longer matches should be enough for me to fit in comfortably without looking out of place.

How much of a difference?
On PES if you could master the highest difficulty you usually are better than most of your opponent you face.

You couldn't play in the European tournaments in the first season, in FIFA 12? Incredible! I always start Career Mode with bottom flight teams, so never noticed.

Something that really annoys me in FIFA 12 is that when you're defending a throw in deep in your own half, your defenders will line up as close to the goal line as possible. I hope they got rid of that in FIFA 13. And I hope this new 'Attacking Intelligence' doesn't mean 'Defensive Retardation'.

I couldn't help but laugh at that part, because it's just so true. Both PES and FIFA in recent years have introduced new aspects in relation to the gameplay, giving them these 'cool-sounding' names, as if it's an instant fix. When usually, it just makes things worse in many ways.

Unfortunately, I'm still not really able to enjoy the FIFA 13 demo much. I'll probably have a few more matches later tonight again, but we'll see.

It really depends who you're playing against and whether it's one on one or Clubs. People online tend to exploit certain parts in the game which can be really hard to defend (examples over the last few years are long throws thrown at the crossbar which bounce back for someone to header in, or balls constantly played over the top to a fast striker) all things which a CPU wouldn't do if that makes sense.

Yeah, you have to become street wise on football games learning how to defend the cheap tactics what only comes with time playing online.

The giant throw with Barn hassling the keeper, good times :D If you had giant throw you could lob it into the box from almost anywhere in the opposition half and it'd reach deep inside the box. Was it in Fifa 12?

What level of assist do you guys play on?
I've been using manual pass and shooting and everything else automatic.
I'm guessing the majority use fully manual assists online like PES.

EDit.
How do you dive on penalty's? nothing works.

No. Most people use fully assisted. It's ridiculously hard to play manual vs fully assisted.

Do you mean as the GK? Use the left analogue stick to move the keeper and hold the right one in the direction you wish to dive.

I find it easier to play humans than the CPU. You will, of course, come against incredibly difficult human opponents, especially if you're not playing well yourself. Some are just really good and some use every exploit in the book. I really love beating the latter. They're usually the ones that will send you offensive messages when you beat them.

or they quit when you're more than one goal ahead or just after you score. And when they celebrate a goal they run round in circles so it takes ages for the celebration to end.

Yep. I'm sometimes frightened to score more than one, especially in the first half. And the celebration (and replay) thing is so annoying. I skip past it all (press L1+R1) to cencel the celebration.

I played about 10-15 games of the new demo against the CPU there last week when it was released and I didn't make much of it in terms of improvement, Sat night however I played a good 1v1 session and noticed a massive improvement all round.

We've a night of it planed for Friday and I'm really looking forward to it now more so than I was last week.

P.S. Is there anyone able to do a complete breakdown on what they've fixed/changed in regards the Pro Clubs scene?

starting to like it a bit more now. Still nowhere near perfect but it's solid.

They still haven't fixed the Old trafford thing where at half time a magic whole opens up between where the team sits and they go into the changing rooms from there even though they walked out from the correct location at the start.

Having a great game against PSG 2-1 to me at HT.

edit:

Having said that I instantly go 2-2 after HT after De Gea parries it straight to Ibra (their only guy in the box along with 5/6 defenders) then an offside which isn't given they go on to score again Now 2-3 and they run up the pitch avoiding all tackles and score again 2-4...

I think the demo is great. I'm playing on World Class at the moment. Just always found it to be a more 'realistic' setting. However, legendary also feels good this year, I played 2 games on it, won one 1-0 and lost one 1-0.

Really really looking forward to the full game, anyone bout the season pass thing? Sounds like a waste of £17 to me. Tons of bugs.

I paid for the season pass last year which allowed me early access to Fifa and Madden both this year and last, also you get discount on DLC I believe. So that's £4.25 which allows me to try the full game before I buy it, worth it imo.

I've noticed no bugs, however I have noticed people online are still cunts. On Pro ranked constantly chasing the ball, scoring own goals and pretty much doing fuck all else. Clubs should be good this year though... I'm liking the look of the VP screen, where you can view what your player looks like, player stats and game stats (goals, assists etc) all from one screen. Pretty decent, I just hope multiple dressing rooms has returned.

Manager mode is better, still some silly transfers but that was never going to change. Playing in Europe in the first season is decent, One thing I thought was silly was that I had been offered the job to coach Norway (which I took :)) but I had only won 3 drawn 1 and lost 1 in the league and won 1 game in the cup (against league 2 opposition) and lost in the CL against PSG. They approached me after the PSG game which was very early on in my career.

The game itself plays very well until the CPU suddenly turn into Barca. I've had to go back to world class just because it gets that annoying.

I remember reading that you can leave your team and apply for another manager position, if there are vacancies at other teams, at any point in the season. Are there many vacant positions available at all times? Can you apply for the job, or do you have to wait to be approached?

I haven't left a job to look for one but I do remember an option to view jobs that are available.
