We can discuss this right now. Because what's going on in the PES community is a joke. Basically our feedback forum aint worth a shit because im pretty sure Konami dont look at that shit.
However Lord Adam has a direct line to Jon Murphy and so when WENB give feedback its like the fuckers have got a direct line to Konami. Basically, if you aint a member on Pesfan or WENB, using the feedback forum is pointless.
Which is ironic as those are the two shittest forums around.
As has been said many times before, WENB has a cultish theme about it and the way Adam goes around telling people what they can and cant say is just ridiculous, but this topic has been done to death a million times.
Personally, I see my self calling it a day with these football games and these forums, its one big fucking circle over and over and you wonder if anything actually gets solved in the long run. This whole 'feedback' thing is a farce and Konami and EA are a fucking joke compared to other companies.
The other day I saw the Call of Duty Forum, the fucking mods come on and tell the members
-Exactly what is being fixed
-When it will be fixed
Infact the other day, they even posted telling the forum about their internal process for identifying and fixing bugs, thats the level of transparency there. EA and Konami are well behind this, because Konami don't actually appear on any fucking forum, you have to BELIEVE they listen. EA sports are fucking morons and they PRETEND to take on board feedback, once you play the game, its obvious none of it was taken into account.
What Konami NEED to do, is create their own feedback forum. It would be so fucking easy for them so set up, and then people can go directly there and post. And you know what, that would be the END of WENB because their stronghold on konami's ballsack would be gone cos all their minions would fuck off to the konami forum and post there.
As for Pesgaming, most people will prolly stick around here cos its a site full of nutcases (myself included) who like a bit of banter. Mind you 'Amateur' would pepper the fuck out of Konami's forum, can you imagine it? Breakfast time in japan, they wake up to the check the forums and they see about 15 essays on the restrictions of D-PAD type movement on the analogue stick.
Anyways, this bullshit system where the asslickers get to give feedback (that actually gets to konami) but we dont, is disgusting, it really is. Dunno what else to say really.
That's some funny shit you've said there, particularly the "stronghold on konami's ballsack" was classic.
As for forums, WENB might have a direct line to John Murphy, but back when I bothered reading what the people on WENB were saying, I never really felt informed, and I never agreed with the to do list.
I think PESGaming is by far a better forum, because everyone can say whatever they want to say, as long as it's on topic, and you don't get banned for saying that you don't absolutely love PES11; you get a much more objective perspective when you read through the threads of PESGaming.
For instance, what you said about the Call of Duty Forum, I didn't know that, now I know it; that's the type of constructive criticism that you rarely see on WENB, since it comes hand-in-hand with a threat or warning or flat out alienation.
As for the restrictions of D-PAD type movements; my complaint has always been that you can cover spaces of over 20 or 40 feet of distance by simply directing the left analogue stick (or the d-pad) without the assistance of the sprint button, this has a negative effect on dribbling and passing and tackling.
It is not necessarily a D-PAD restriction because the D-PAD could work differently; but having said that, because of the lack of movement or space that the D-PAD offers, one would need to use that little bit of space to implement the essentials: running in different directions, running without the assistance of a running button, etc.
So when you find out that by simply directing the left analogue stick without the assistance of the sprint button, this is enough to cover spaces of over 40 feet of distance.... it does feel to me, like a 360-axis d-pad, because essentially, it functions more or less the same way.
It worked fine with the D-PAD becasue the D-PAD barely has any range of movement, you direct the D-PAD without the assistance of a sprint button and the player runs forwards into space, it fitted in well with the D-PAD; however, it has never really make sense when you use the left analogue stick, it has never been precise enough nor responsive enough, with the left analogue stick.
My point is, that after a decade of PES games, I think we should have seen something completely new by now: changing how the left analogue stick (and d-pad) works would be a massive change, since it would affect all the areas of the game in a positive way, since it would make better use of the range of movement of the left analogue stick; by mixing responsive buttons such as R1 and L1 for determining when, and using the range of movement of the left analogue stick for determining where, thus when and where would be attached to entirely different buttons.
As for nutcases, does it make sense to not be a nutcase?
As far as I'm concerned, the whole human species is gone to hell, for a civilization whose level or standard of civility is determined by money, I think describing yourself as a "nutcase" is a sign that you still have not gone insane in an insane world.
But of course, the guys who have produced over 100 podcasts concerning a video game, are the same people who will describe me as a "nutcase" because I'm writing essays about a video game. And of course, it makes all the sense in the world that WENB have the connection with Jon Murphy: objectivity is obscene.
