EDIT: Oh pants, my first league game (Tottenham at home) just snuck up on me. Time to roll your sleeves up lads! It's going to be a longer season than the one Sunderland are having for real...

I just absolutely ass-raped Newcastle, but drew 1-1. I should have 6 points from my first 3 games, with wins against Man Utd and Newcastle no less, but I have 1. No justice whatsoever. In the other match I was well beaten 2-0 by Everton. :(

I've had two relatively mediocre games and lost both (2-1 and 2-0) partly because I can't settle on which one of two formations I usually rip teams apart with when playing with Milan OR Red Star. I've got players in midfield capable of making it successful, I've got defenders who can just about keep it successful, strikers to fuck it up and not many players who can speak English. Of my eight signings, three speak English and the rest aren't going to learn any time soon.

I could of sworn Neil Doncaster was secretly working at Sunderland with these transfer funds mysteriously disappearing.

I started off with £4.4m. I have recouped £1.3m. I have spent £5.5m. Therefore, I should have £200k. But I have £0. What the fuck happened there?

In your first season, sales do not directly increase your transfer funds. You only get a percentage.

I drew 1-1 and lost 1-0. I'm being outplayed (not by much) and my second choice goalkeeper is doing well (first choice goalkeeper, current best striker and key midfielder are all out injured, new signing got a three-match ban for a brilliant punch in my second game).

If you pass the wage budget, which was not a lot at all with Sunderland, they take away your transfer budget until you cut down the wage bill.

Nobody's playing with the real fixtures patch then?

Won my first game 2-1 against Charlton, I'm playing Liverpool tomorrow. Morientes always seems to have a knack of scoring for fun past me whichever team I play as.

Edit... Beat Liverpool 2-1... my new signings absoloutley ran the show - My central midfielder scored one of the goals of the season in the last 5 minutes. Altogether I've made 7 changes to the Sunderland starting XI.

Oh.. and what's my aim? Top 10 at least, that's how Sunderland did in their first season when I was managing United.

I have 3 points from first 3 games. I beat West Brom 1-0 at home, but got thrashed by Villa and unfortunately lost a close match against West Ham. Kelvin Davis has been superb and so has Dean Whitehead. My new signing from St. Etienne has played good but not amazing. My next match is away to Chelsea.

I started off badly, drawing 1-1 against Birmingham, then losing the next 3 matches. Signed two new strikers who have completely turned me around, now i'm on a winning streak of 3 games, before that though i got robbed of a win from Man U, they were winning 2-0 then i brought it back to 2-2 at halftime, my superstiker scored both. Next half i completely dominated, getting another goal, then the final kick of the game, Gudjhonsen(who they signed for £10m) scored a shitty tap in from like 2 yards, Bastards! I'm playing Villa next, i should win that one with the run i'm on now.;)

EDIT: Oh yes, i beat them 3-1:) My superstriker scored again, now he'e the 4th highest goalscorer in the league.

Anyone else having defensive problems ? I signed 2 center backs, my best one i now out injured for 2 months:( My winning streak just came to an abrupt hault against Charlton, the defence looked solid the previous games but now they'v gone all wonky again, lost 5-2. Now the tally of goals against me in the premiership is 25 aftre 10 games, that's bloody shocking.:eek:hmy:

Okay...so my first-choice goalkeeper was one of three players out and I lost 2-1 at home to Tottenham, 2-0 at Charlton during which I had a player suspended, drew 1-1 at home to Portsmouth and lost 1-0 at Wigan. Bad bad start. Signed a new striker whilst the best striker I had prior to his signing came back from injury and won 2-0 at home to Fulham. My first-choice goalkeeper still isn't back and I've just won 4-1 at Manchester United despite going behind in the fifth minute (all four goals from players I didn't sign :eek:hmy:)

Got a great foward/left winger for alot of money.
Got 2 old backs and an old mid on free.
5 cheap young guns for back-up.
And when used wisley Whitehead is the best player, along side my super signing, I will reveal later ;).
Doing very well so far.

Don't really know what people are bitching about saying Sunderland's sqaud is so poor, looks fairly strong to me, although maybe that's because I'm used to managing teams like Hartlepool, Brentford and Wolves.

Having said that... I've made about 7 signings, two of which are absoloutley running riot against any opposition. The tactics are working a treat, scored one of the most satisfying goals after a knock-down from my target man, and a 40 yard strike from my midfielder.

Elliot has scored 7 for me so i don't really need a stiker, its my defence whats the problem i've let in 16 in 8 games. Doing well though won 4 drew 2 lost 3.:)

The defence is shit. I had to sign a few defenders. The only defender in my first choice X1 who I didn't sign is Wright. My left back is marvellous, and he only cost £700k, I'm thrilled with that signing.

The defence really is shocking, they wind me up so much:angry: never have i felt like smashing something up so much.:realmad: i've got a stiker (who used to play for spurs;)) coming for free in december if he's anything like he is in my other games i should finish top 10 easy.
By the way did any of you buy a keeper?
