I signed Jerel Ifil with Colchester for £40k, as I needed a pacey defender to compliment what I already had, and his performances have been very impressive.
Not sure just how cheap you mean, though.

Ari Nyman's available for £70k-ish, he's good once he settles.
I'm looking to start a new game shortly. Not sure who with yet though. I fancy having a bit of money to spend, most my games have had rubbish budgets.
Man City is tempting me.

Man City/Aston Villa sounds about right. Both have great assets, a good transfer budget and fairly low expectations and it's definately achieveable to get them around the top 3 in the first season if you spend well.

I've decided I'm going to do Rangers. Not that much money, but I enjoyed it when I did it back in the day.

I'm not too keen on the SPL, if I do, I usually do it with Gretna. :mellow: I don't find it as fufilling winning the league with Rangers knowing you only really have one real rival; but each to their own and that.

Yeah, I only plan on staying for one season though. After that I'll hopefully have a an application accepted for another job.

I got fucked by Chelsea on my quarter-finals 1st leg 3-2 my fucking reina made 2 mistakes and led to two goals, i tell u the worst mistake was th come out from penalty box to pass the fucking ball to Drogba and let him score, next was to come out for the ball during a cross for the fucking striker to header in the net, I immediately sub him, his rating was 4 and i dropped him to the Reserve team and issue a warining and reprimanded him on his form using player interaction. Fucked him up!
My Man City season is going quite well, I'm 4th in the league and in the quarter-finals of the FA cup against Hull, if it weren't for Elano and Bianchi though, I'd be up shit creek. Daftest thing I've done is paying 10 million for Jeremy Mathieu. :doh: He isn't a bad player and he has decent stats, but it was 5 million too much. I have Scott Golbourne (sp) coming in from Reading for 600k next season, who became a beast on my Liverpool season, I also have Banega coming in for 6 million. I'm hoping I can get Cardozo in too, but his work-permit keeps getting rejected. :/

By the way, I got Victor Moses from Crystal Palace's youth team in my first season on a youth contract, put him in the U18's for two seasons and now he's almost challenging for a side and is worth 2m so it's not a bad investment. The best bet in the first season for me is usually to poach youngsters from other academies ASAP and then take all the credit when they eventually grow into Premiership players. :smug: You can tell I'm a Chelsea fan, eh? :tongue:
