@Sweey: If those are the ones from the top of the Dugout link you gave me, I've tried them both. They are the same file and I have tried them both, but they both tell me something about not being compatible with FM06 when I click "Load FM08".

@Wan: If you are asking me whether the in-game editor came with the patch, I have no idea, but I don't think so.

Worst case scenario Yossi, do you want to upload your save game so I can download it, try to apply the change and upload it back for you?

They are the links from the Dugout forum I'd provided you with but I hadn't tried them previously.

Wan, you're talking about the pre-game database editor. Yossi is talking about a save game editor.

Oh sorry didn't knew it.
Save game editor...
You're talking about FM Modifier or MCFM Editor?

I have tried both. One of them I downloaded and opened, one I couldn't get to that stage with. Don't know which is which.

How do I do that? I'm a bit thick you see.

Compress your save file using WinZip or WinRAR (right-click the file and such an option should already be there if either is installed) and then go to www.megaupload.com or www.sendspace.com, select the file to upload and leave your computer to do so (it'll take a while depending on the size of the file). You'll know what to do once you go to one of those two sites as they tend to prompt you for the correct information. SendSpace has a 300MB file limit which is far more handy as I believe MegaUpload may have a 100MB file limit and your save file may be larger. Once done, it'll refresh the page properly and give you a link. Send me that link via PM and I'll be able to download the file.

Yossi, the MCFM Editor above in Wan's post is meant to be the exact same editor as the one I gave you except that the file size is 4KB less. It'll be worth trying for you. Strangely both of them work for me, as does FM Modifier :erm:

FM Soundpack 2008

FM Soundpack 2008 is the return of the best and most popular soundpack that was done for FM2005 and FM2006. FM Soundpack 2008 is a full release for FM2008.

This enhances your game by removing the pointless sounds already in the game, and replacing them with top quality sounds from past CM (such as CM 01/02, etc).
It also comes with a huge selection of personal club chants from leagues around Europe, South America and other countries.

Its way more than double the chants you get with the game, plus they add way more to the match day atmosphere.

The code in the config is also edited to ensure it provides more atmosphere.

Works on Mac as well, providing you have a .rar executer.

This great soundpack is created by Jack Furness (aka furney89) and we got his written permission to post this here.
Thank you mate!

How To Install
Simply place the "sounds" & "match events" folders in the data folder, which is located on your C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\data.

You will be asked if you want to replace the original files, click "yes to all", however it is recommended you backup the original before use.

If you struggle to install, please look at the step-by-step picture guide (HOW TO INSTALL file which is for 2006 but works the same way), which is included in this pack.

For Best Results
Please make sure that you have selected to play "all" sounds in the options area inside the game
This can be found in the "preference" This will make sure you hear all the sounds.

Also if you want to hear all the sounds throughout the game, make sure the (highlight) slide bars (when viewing the 2d pitch) are set nearest to the middle as possible in order to hear as many chants as possible

Acknowledgments
This pack has been tested many times, nothing has been affected while testing and has NOT caused damage/loss to any files.

However if there are any problems you acknowledge that we have no responsibility for any loss or damage to your game and/or computer system.

I grown quite bored with my Man City season, maybe we should start an online game? I'm surprised we haven't attempted one before.
