Well my computer crashed the other week, and I wanted to play some FM last night. So I downloaded some graphics and the 8.0.1 patch, and now FM 08 isn't working for me. It gets stuck on the black loading screen.

It's seriously pissing me off now as I even uninstalled it and re-installed it about an hour ago, but it's still getting stuck. Any ideas please?

Well I got a website up saying that I would have to basically update my Graphics Card Driver. Which sucks, as it's like Foreign to me.

Plus, it says I haven't got a manufacturer for the Graphics Card driver when I open up DxDiag :mellow:.

If you look for your graphics card in your Device Manager (which can be found via My Computer properties) you should be able to determine what exact model your card is.

Then, go to the relevant website and get the latest drivers.

What exactly do you mean when you say your "computer crashed" ???

Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab (XP only) -> Device Manager.

Under Display Adapters your graphics card/processor will be listed. It'll either say "ATi", "Nvidia" or "Intel integrated" and from there you'll get some idea of where you need to go to get new drivers which people should always download periodically anyway.

EDIT: "Display Adapters" doesn't seem to be listed, for some reason.

How do you loan a player without getting him a work permit?? (The way Wenger loaned Vela) I have this real talent who I have signed twice in 2 weeks but he never got a work permit so I want to loan him out to Spain or something to get him one.

EDIT: And does anyone know of any good feeder clubs to sign U21 players from??

You have to have a "To avoid work permit regulations" feeder club to send him to.

I done it once with Norwich on FM06. Won the Championship at a canter in my first season, then after changing the entire first team squad, was top of the Premiership in my second season but I didn't finish it because it were boring.
