Bye!!!! Hope you enjoy FIFA!! I feel that 2012 is a very good PES game, best since the great PS2 games, its not perfect but its very enjoyable and well put together game. If you enjoyed 2008 and 2009 like you claim and you can't enjoy this one then haha I don't know what to tell you. Whatever floats your boat.... goodbye!

08 and 09 were far from perfect but still better than fifa at the time so it was the better title and made for some fun games against friends.

Cheers

are we talking 2008 on PS3 ? Because that game was horrible, worst of the series and should have never been released. Offline you could just turn the corner on your defender and score at will, online was totally broken. 2009 was ok, at least it was playable but still nothing to shout about.

A little hypocritical there...

you're entitled to your opinion, whether you have 2 posts or 50000.... If you don't enjoy the game no reason to lie about it or force play it... Play what makes you happy and you enjoy.... cheers!

i agree with kid castro eventhough i enjoyed fifa 11 more than fifa 12.
and all those people that call fifa a gamer's game for kids and pes for men that know about football, have you seen sneijders official twitter page -

http://twitter.com/#!/sneijder101010
he says pes 2012 is too easy and fifa 12 is the better game and much harder. So sneijder, a real man that knows a lot about football proving fifa is NOT a gamers game - he even actually though pes was gonna be better and gave it a huge chance but finds fifa 12 a bit better

Guys I'm sorry if I offended you.. I guess I'm frustrated with Konami, not that EA is any better. I'm just stating my points that I feel this thread thus far has achieved some support. I don't hate pes... I just been waiting a long time to reclaim its crown. I love the community, u may say I have 10 posts but I read more than I write on here, no need to judge me for that. The Guy above me Calls me a noob yet he has 69 posts?

I've been a fan for a long time but yes I'm venting my frustration. I understand we may differ in opinion but that's fine. Please don't start with the name calling... a mug. Mate I lived through the glory days of pes, I just don't see the appeal anymore. To each there own... I'm not upset at the community, only konami and refuse to buy into it this year.

So I sincerely appologise, I guess I'm an upset fan.

Well, I guess I apologize too. It's getting old rather fast to read eternal lengths of whines from people with 2-3 posts in the luggage. Anyway, I didn't blame you for your feelings towards PES.

Good luck, have fun & if you're playing on PC, check out this blog for some real PES fixes and modifications:

Let me clear this up a bit.

First of all pes 6 WAS AND STILL IS OVERRATED. The problems started with pes 6.

To the OP. It's your opinion, and I respect that but to say that pes 08 and 09 were better than fifa 08 and 09 and pes 12 is worse than fifa 12 is clearly NOT A GOOD JUDGEMENT especially by saying that pes 08 and 09 were better than fifa at the time. Those 2 pes games were FAR, FAR, FAR worse than pes 11 and 12.

Pes 12 for all it's annoying problems and stupid glitches still plays like a football sim where tactical changes change the game. Yes cry about the speed and stuff, but I am talking about the tactics side of the game, not the speed. :)

And talking about the speed. WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING?
The same game I have? Because pes 12 at 0 is slower than pes 11 at 0. So whoever says that pes 12 is fast would clearly hate pes 11's speed as it was faster.

I totally agree on the speed though. The passing speed is too fast and you do not have total control over many things. Another bad point.

AI CHEATING. Oh man this makes me so mad that I literally become insane to a point where I do not know who I am anymore. YES IT IS THAT BAD.

That said, pes 12 does have a very good side to it. It does resemble football.

Let's talk about fifa 12. It's again, gloss over cracks and people are falling for it? SERIOUSLY?
I am honest about this. When you first play it, you say, WOW, this resembles football, because it has the animations and you have control.

But try to analyse the highlights of the game and you'll see what I am talking about.

Every player moves the same, same movement every game, with every team playing the same and people fall for it and I do not blame them, because it feels natural as the game does what you want. Also, the goal variation is nowhere near pes. And goal variation is VIP in football.

So my verdict is that fifa LOOKS MORE REAL THAN PES, BUT LACKS the depth that Pes has to offer and this is TRUE.

Ofcourse, opinions vary. But what I just said is true.

adu97, Snejder's point doesn't prove anything. He is a footballer, not a football spectator. He plays it from his point of view, we see the whole team in action.

First of all, I'm upset it has come to this but the truth of the matter IMO the king has gone backwards. Excuse me if you love the latest installment, this topic is not for you but I wont fight to protect this games honor anymore. Or blind myself with lies to keep this game alive throughout the years.....................

I know where you coming from and don't worry about what others said, to them it looks like what matters is post count below your avatar the more you have the better you must be!.
If you don't have a high count then you must be talking shit but who cares man you have stated a valid opinion.

Play what you like and if you decided to play fifa on manual add me on Origin bLunT_wAcO.
And please before attacking me, i hate EA and fifa12 has a load shit of bugs so it isn't a perfect game either but i enjoy playing it nevertheless.

Have a wonderful footy

P.S i'm not giving up on PES12 yet, i will see how the OF on PC might change the game to my liking and might consider buying it.

A lot more unrest towards PES this year than there was last year. I remember banging the drum early doors at my frustrations with PES2011 but the fresh veneer of optimism for most lasted longer than it has with PES2012. I'm going to get the game - I've never not bought a game of PES - but then I'm not investing the same expectation this time round nor time. I'll play ML with a weak team and regardless of thrashings I won't be nerd raging, I'll make the most of it. If that fails ... well I'll slaughter some Americans on Killzone3 to cheer me up :D

haha Fifa IS NOT an awesome game. I'm convinced EA are using some kind of mind control technique to manipulate people.

You talk about Pro being poor online, how about Fifa offline...its fundamentally broken. Players disappear from starting line ups, changing settings during a game don't take effect unless you exit and start a brand new one. Don't even get me started on that 'revolutionary' defensive system with its invisible 2-ft force fields.

Don't sit there going about honour and rubbish like that, pretending that you even care about Pro. If you don't like the game, fair enough, but don't talk rubbish and pretend the alternative is so much better.

It isn't!

I think the reason is Smink, that with a couple of alterations this would be one epic game. Just if they just toned down the AI cheating it would be a million per cent better. Combine that with them cutting down the ghost like shimmys of ALL attackers on the game and you have near enough the perfect football game.

KONAMI need to remember that a football game has two sides, attack AND DEFENCE! I play 15 minute matches, and to hold out against the CPU for that long when they have everything in their advantage is a true effort which relies largely on luck. This shouldn't be!

I had a little rant yesterday about PES starting to get to me with ALL the little niggles. You know what I put FIFA in for twenty minutes and was back to PES.

There's something about PES (even though again this year I want to smash things really hard because of the blatant scripting) that draws me back. It's like the imperfect lover who you'll never tame, you know is wrong for you, but you keep coming back for more, hoping that next time things will be better. Not even last years PES drove me this nuts.

BUT, saying all that about this years PES, I am genuinely learning things every day to add to my armour to at least put certain things in my favour v the CPU. Yesterday it was to crank player support up to 16 or so to get the CPU to track you back so that their counter attacks were harder to do, forcing them to play more football. Today, already, I'm learning that if the opposition have flying wingers to not have compactness low, you're asking to be hit by the long wing through ball which inevitably leads to a headed goal.

It's sad, but in between running my business, I'm thinking about this bitch night and day. I'm already running central DMF's through my head for the next transfer period.

Even a fkin 1-0 win v Norwich last night felt so, so satisfying.

I know, I need to get out more.

Rubbish. There was just as many whiners with pes11 as there is today.

People were crying about pes11 before the demo was even released. I never forget when Amateur wrote off the game just at seeing one of the trailers.

Then when it was released, there were hoards of posters bashing the game, and you yourself, was one of the them.

I've just learnt to accept there will always be the cry babies who don't have the patience or concentration to learn how to get to grips with the game.

It's like gran turismo. You get these adhd plebs picking it up expecting it to be a plain sailing car racing game and they realise there is no boost button and no easy turns like in Burnout Paradise or need for speed. Forgetting to realise that GT is a racing simulator just like pes12 is a football simulator. You can't jump into a racecar in real life without learning how to manoeuvre it correctly and acquiring the necessary licences first , nor can you in the game. And you can't step out on to the pitch without learning the right balance between attack and defense which you need to learn how to do in Pro.

Fifa you don't have to practice, or take good care when controlling the players. You just play and you're rewarded instantaneously. That caters towards today's generation of spoilt attention seeking unfocused want it all now pieces of filth. That's why it sells millions of copies

not to step on your thunder buuuut....I though as a society we stopped postulating such blatantly false claims. Not all Priest molest children, not all Muslims are bad people, not all Jews support the occupations...you get my point. Fifa is not for little kids only, a lot of grown-ups play it as well. The main reason why it sells millions is because you do not need to fix it with mods, add-ons or patches. You get the completed package in the "box", and to the majority of people that is key because they have other better things to do than to keep downloading and installing patches. PES will forever be for a small niche until the day comes when they have full licensing.

I am a PES player and I only play on Top Player I'm currently waiting for my new desktop to come in so I can play some PES 2012. Also I would like to add I am part of that group of society that doesn't mind installing various tools and patches for PES because I understand with a little bit work put into it, that "PES has no license" thing is pure rubbish as you can have all the teams with correct names and kits. NOW ALL I ASK FOR KONAMI IS A GOD DAMMED NICE STADIUM BUILDER!!!!!!! lol

Of course it's not just kids that play fifa. You also get a lot of overgrown men who's minds have stifled so much they may as well re-enrol back into high school with the rest of the adolescents.

As for your second point, that is rubbish I'm afraid. Fifa release their games incomplete every year. Last year it was ridden with bugs and glitches which needed patches and add ons. There was strange positional movements when controlling the players, button lag delay when online, micro freezing to the point where there was random crashes within the game. Transfer negotiation bugs in career mode. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture. Well at least I hope you do. Anyway it was far from finished. It looked and played as if it was rushed to be released prior to the patches.

So my advice is to get this notion out of your head that fifa is the ultimate game that has no flaws or errors within it and next time, not to waste my time replying to my post spouting unfounded bullshit that has no basis.
