Still no release date yet, Rockstar staying pretty low key. There was an image I stumbled across with all the different main characters involved in all the GTA series. There was 2 characters in that image who no one knew the name of.

Wouldn't worry too much, Rockstar are pretty good at keeping a lid on things, plus they tend not to announce in the press, rather releasing their own stuff on the net.

Add to that the recent release of Max Payne, wouldn't make sense to overshadow that with GTA news quite so soon now, would it?!? Max Payne multiplayer may also be a testing bed for GTA as well....

Based on their previous schedules, I wouldn't expect release until April/May next year, with the next big info release in the next two months...

I believe they are also working on a new project called agent. Well I say new, it has been on there agenda for quite sometime now. It seems to be a stop start project. Yes I agree rockstar always hold there cards close to there chest. I am guessing the new GTA will be released next year sometime. Some people have touted it to be released this October but that seems unlikely given how silent they have been. It would be a very pleasant shock if that did happen though

By contrast, I'm looking at those graphics and thinking "meh, nothing I've not seen before". I'm not saying they're shit, just that I've come to expect more from other titles I've seen or played on PC and its clear as day that consoles are 'struggling' (for want of a better word) in the graphics department now.

But I know never to expect top graphics for a game like GTA because of the size of the game combined with the console limitations, but I just think it looks really nice the second shot for an open world game. I expect the graphics to be a slightly more polished IV.

Hopefully it comes out for the PC at the same time or shortly afterwards like Max Payne, but I expect them to release the PC version again long time after the consoles release like they did for IV.
Praying on people like me who'll then up buying both versions.

thats the biggest problem.. for me at least.. because of the HQ graphics... i dunno if the game will look as cool on a ps3 as it will on a pc. damn you sony!

The GTA series is about the game, the story, the humour. Too much onus is put on how pretty things look, to much effort on gloss leaves to much glossed over...

Exactly! When has a GTA game ever had top of the line graphics? Even LA Noire and RDR's graphics weren't the greatest compared to other games, but they still looked fantastic in their own way.

All the 3d GTA's were never the best graphically at the time of release like you said Ali.
They can never compete with linear games graphics like Max Payne.
