Wow. But I won't feel assured until I've seen animal shots - walking a dog, swimming with sharks, being faced down by a Grizzly in the mountains.

And with the mountains and forests in this they have to do Bigfoot. I demand an angry violent one this time though, not the RDR ones which make you feel bad about killing them.

I know GTA's not a graphics centred game but it looks glorious! Seems to have moved away from the cartoon-esq graphics.

Well it looks nice, but my biggest gripe is the fact GTA is such a fucking boring game.

I gave up with GTA4 after 10 hours of gameplay.

I would also like to see cinematic action music during the gameplay or missions.

GTA4 needs to take a leaf out of Sleeping Dogs.

I've only just got a vehicle sleeping dogs and a bit bored, doesn't keep me wanting to play more. Bit of a tacky game when compared to GTA in terms of sandbox games.
The story lost its way a little bit in the middle but on the whole the story was epic. Some of the moments where you have to make choices were implemented brilliantly.
@Fick I think its grew up with its fans. I don't think I could enjoy San Andreas as much as I did when I was younger. There's always the alternative of playing crappy Saints Row if you prefer a less serious game.

It is happening again
I think GTA IV wasn't as interesting to explore as San Andreas. That's probably one of the reasons why people find it dull. If you were bored in SA, you could just spawn a jet, fly off to the bid mountain and jump off it on a bicycle. There was none of that in GTA IV, though I did still like the game in general.

GTA IV sucked after finishing the story because you had a shit load of money but nothing to spend it on! 3 clothes shops, no haircuts/gym, no car mods etc.

I expect GTA V to have the same amount of things to do as GTA:SA and more.

Also, I notice they haven't said what consoles this is for. Prehaps a PS4/XBOX720 launch title?

Hopefully V will take a look at what Saints Row 3 did in terms of the ludicrous amount of extra activities you could do alongside the storyline.

I for one still preferred the tongue in cheek style of play, with the freedom to fuck about. Growing up is not the answer. I have played all 3 SR games and if anything they took it too far the other way. Shite story, endless dicking about. SA was the best balanced of all the sandbox titles for me.

Good point Ali. The more realistic the setting became, the less the novelty factor

SR certainly crammed in the extras. Though SR3 seemed to try too hard ans was never as much fun as 2 for me

This.

San Andreas had a great story, whilst being endlessly fun storyline-aside. I'd play it for the hell of it, without doing missions a lot of the time, because the core gameplay and added extras were just good old fun.

GTA IV took itself too seriously, and storyline-aside, there wasn't a great deal else to do except appreciate the environment and enhanced graphics. Of course this gets tiresome quick though. I probably reached around 30-35% complete on GTA IV before I just stopped playing.

I "will" be buying GTA V though.
