Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is a music video game and the upcoming third full installment in the Guitar Hero series (the fourth title overall). The game is published by Activision and RedOctane, with Neversoft as the developer for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii consoles, and Aspyr Media as the developer for the PC and Macintosh computers. Due to the acquisition of RedOctane by
Activision, Harmonix Music Systems is no longer involved in developing titles in the Guitar Hero series. Guitar Hero III is the first game in the series to feature online competitive and cooperative play, in addition to existing game modes. Demo
On August 23, 2007, Activision announced that a demo of Guitar Hero III will appear in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Proving Ground for the Xbox 360, set for release on October 9, 2007. The demo will also be downloadable over Xbox Live shortly after Proving Ground is released. The demo will feature five songs ("Lay Down", "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "Even Flow", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", and "The Metal") played within the Desert Rock venue.

i just took it off wikipedia they didn't seperate the bonus ones from the ones already on the game i think ruby by the kaiser chiefs will be fun to play

In the "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce video I would of lost like 10 seconds in. :( They got some good songs.

Never played a guitar hero in my life.

Looks good, mind. The other versions I missed out on as there too pricey in my opinion, but this version I may just buy (That is, if I've enough squids).

Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones are very protective over their back catalouge of music.

If you've seen the special features on the School of Rock, Jack Black practically beg's them to let them use a 20 second segment of the Immigrant Song.

Im gonna say it : They put in Muse, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Beastie Boys and Bloc Party but still no AC/DC, Led Zepp, Hendrix or original Van Halen. Some of the greatest guitarists ever to have lived arn't in there yet wank like the Kaiser Chiefs is.

I wish I was the guy making these games. *sigh*

Edit : The Guitar Hero 1 & 2 controllers for the PS2 were the SG shape and the X-box got a Firebird shape for Guitar Hero 2, any news if a new controller will be released for this one?

There's your problem. The best guitar music, as listed above, would cost the makers far too much to put in a game. End of they day they are running a business, and wank like Kaiser Chiefs is cheap so. Nice to see Sonic Youth in there though.

Urgh...I suck at the game but I still enjoy it. Although a friend of mine is excellent at it, and gives me several minority complexes when he plays.
