Am I right in thinking that once your stats reach 95 they cant go up any higher on BAL mode. Maybe you can help clear this up noncasus, my top speed is also 95 and doesnt seem like its going up anymore!!

You are absolutely correct there.
I have a theory that: You MAY be able to get points into abilities with 95, if you get match exp points.

Notice i said theory cause i haven't seen it myself. Ive yet to reach the champions league semis or final.

yeah but then stamina goes to shit if you use all the points on the other two right? definitely agree about the speed and shooting though- speed seems essential!!

I got my stamina to 85 and then focused on those areas. I think I did stamina and speed 6 and 6 first and then switch over to kicking.

i second that, cause if you think about, if you max out one of the stats at 95 and are still young, you will get match exp points. This will increase at a turtle pace, but still increase.

I'm nearing the end of my debut season, in which I signed for Wigan Athletic. There were also offers from Hull, and West Brom. I went for Wigan due to their strike-force of Zaki, and Heskey. I had dreams of whipping in crosses to see Zaki volley it home, or Heskey burst the net with a powerful header! But alas, it hasn't materialised, instead we're in a relegation battle and struggling for goals. I could have jumped ship to Boro, or West Ham, in the Jan. transfer window, but decided to stay and help the club in the battle to avoid the drop.

I'm not a starting player, yet. But I've been in the squad since about the 7th week, trying to make an impact from the bench. I am yet to register a first team goal or assist. I'm not much of a goal threat, but I have carved out chances that the forwards have spurned time after time.

I'll post games played, my rating, and stats, come the end of the season.

My worst season in BAL to date. I had two previous games (Hull and Man City) when testing the game (before buying) at a friends. I got to the 2nd season in each (SMF both times) and done much better, scoring, assisting, better ratings, etc. That makes this disaster all the worse.

I'm mulling over a move to Bolton, as oppose to staying to try and make a means for a poor showing. Bolton have signed M.Diarra, Muntari, and Defour (AMF/CMF). My main gripe with Wigan is their centre midfield. They leave the back four exposed, and never get the ball out wide when it matters. Their range of passing is poor, too. That makes life difficult for the wide players. Bolton may play a 4-3-3 which should see the defence protected, and see the ball pushed wide more frequently, and I'd be further forward. But I feel like I owe Wigan, yet it may be in vain due to a poor engine room.

At the end of my season where I swapped PSG for Monaco in the transfer window, we've finished a place above PSG in 5th and I've got a call up for England at the Euro Championships. Wahey! I was beginning to think it wouldn't happen.

I made the switch to Bolton, for the reasons I mentioned earlier. It has proven to be a worthy decision, as I'm getting on the ball more and influencing play better. Wigan on the other hand are again leaking goals, left, right, and centre. Bolton's 4-5-1, and better centre midfield players, leads to my being able to stay wide more often, and make runs knowing I may well be played in.

We started out badly with 5 straight defeats. I made the bench to face Sunderland, with us still looking for our first win after drawing our previous game. I came on at HT and went on to set up the winning goal, playing a 7.5 in the process, which got me the MOM award. 2-1 was the final score. We drew 0-0 in the next game. I got 45 mins, again, playing a 7.0 and getting my second MOM. It was a refreshing change to say the least!

When i started out at Stoke i didn't really find any players that were greedy just that they weren't good enough at times, even though we did beat Arsenal and Liverpool at some stage, i went to Newcastle and Martins is greedy, he trys to take on everyone he see's even though i would be in loads of space... anyway got a transfer to Arsenal where i seem to have found a team that i like to play with turning down many offers to clubs like Milan and Barcelona. i score goals and create but latley started to get a bit miffed with a couple of things...

Defence - how come my defenders always try to to dribble they way out of trouble this happened at Newcastle with my GK trying to get past a forward who took the ball off him and scored, but you can guarantee this won't happen to the opposition defence, i think i must have a defender sent off about 10 maybe more times a season for stupid tackles they don't need to make.

Bendtner - another greedy guy who for some reason keeps Adebayor out of the team, Bendtner can't shoot and the only time he scores is when the keeper saves my shot and spills it and you can guarantee Bendtner there to score and keep his place.

I just got my ps3 the other day and pes omg, its like 100x times better and completely different to the ps2, they didn't seem to spend much time on the ps2 version. I'm in season 3 atm (yeah..no life lol only started BAL a day ago) I've been at West Ham since the start, and have cemented my place in center forward role. Stats aren't great heres a couple....

not great atm lol, we finished 7th first season and 9th last season and I scored 9 first season and 14 last season(I'd say 80% of them were headers), currently 4th this season 14 matchs in and I have 7 goals, when do you usually get international call up on ps3?and so far, loving it ^_^

then moved to Werder Bremen and win the A Division...
2nd season still in Bremen, but the club isnt strong as in previous season and finish 7th...
3rd season Bremen become more worst, in half season finish in 15th place, so i decided to move to Valencia...<--- yup, i still in there atm...

i play as DMF(originally SMF but always play as DMF in my club, so i got new position) and my main skills are: stamina 87 and top speed 86
goals: maybe less than 10, i hv nothing to do with it...

Just played my fist match with the A club. Came in as a sub for the 2nd half and made an impact right away. Shot down the right flank and whipped in a perfect cross that was smashed in with a header.

We unfortunately tied but I still received man of the match with a 7.5 rating.

What you need to realise about suomisoft is he plays with the 'Reset Prevention Feature' off (you can see it on his screenshots on page 20 of this topic) which means that if he loses a match or doesnt play well and gets a low rating he can just turn if off and start again......it makes the game a little bit easier when you can keep trying over and over again until you win. Anyone can be world class by doing that.

True, there are hurdles encoded into the game that means its highly improbable to have that stat avrg and goal rating in your first season(even if you have already played it alot)...doing the do over thing is still not easy though, it seems alot less fun for more work.....
