Nice story u got there Jordan, I read it all and I actually don't read such long stories. It was nice to know u where very happy after ur first goal, I was too. I ran like a dog in my house to celebrate lol.

Btw, I finished my first season at Chievo in Italy, I'm finished as the club Top Scorer and got 11 Goals in my name and 3 Assists. Which is kinda good on Top Player, and hé, it's just my first season.

I now play for Toulouse in France, good team who play 4-3-3. I like that cause I get a lot of help of the wingers (I'm an central striker)
I have to see how it goes.. I hope for the best. I got only 1 goal now in 3 matches, hope to make some screamers like I did in Chievo.

Thanks,
well done at Chievo. 11 goals and 3 assist is actually quite good in the first season. Are you playing in Europe with Toulouse?

The story continues;
--------------------
The team had a good rest at Xmas, and I ignored a couple of offers that came my way during the break. We were full of confidence for the rest of the season ahead, and were gunning to make our mark in Europe having given ourselves a great chance of qualifying for the last 16 of the European Championship. So we went at it, but right at the time when most needed I hit a goal drought and no-one on the team was really able to pick up the slack. Our performances suffered but we were griding out results as I was still able to set-up a few and the team was trying to share the load of scoring.

We had a big game against Chelsea that ended up a 3-3 draw and it seemed to drain the team, but I ended my drought with the equaliser when we were 1-0 down. On the European stage we were firing on all cylinders and we made it to the last 16 with ease. Our first match however of the knock out stage was Man U. They were on top form and had a full squad to play, and had even splashed out on Rosicky to make him the mid-field rock. The first leg was a hard fought contest, we battled hard and broke up attacks as we could and managed to grind out a 1-0 win at home. In the second game however things were much different

It was like a master class, attack and counter attack, free flowing passing, fantastic movement on and off the ball, wonderous shooting ability, and incredible dribbling skills. And then there was Man U, they were CRAP. They were squandering the ball every pass and couldnt string a move together at all. Sir Alex must have been mighty peeved as he went all guns blazing in the second half by putting 4 strikers on, 3 in forward roles and one playing just off them. It did nothing to help and only made matters worse for them. We tore them up for arse paper, and left them in tatters. 6-0 we won on aggregate, with me getting 2 goals in the second half from set pieces. We went on to make it to the final against Real Madrid, puting out Inter Milan along the way.

We stayed ahead in the league followed closely by Chelsea who were keeping us pegged to 1 point ahead, and won the league cup convincingly against a hard West Ham side who had put in a great cup run to make it to the final. With 3 games to go we were on for the treble.

The final of the European Cup, Fulham vs Real Madrid. It was actually a rather dull affair as Real never got going properly, and we hit them on the break 3 times in the first half and 6 in the second to take a 3-0 win and lift the trophy. We had done it, we were European Champions! Two down one to go, and the last 2 league games were Man U and Everton.

The game against Man U was a tough tough match, and I scored from a corner in the first half to give us the lead. Just after the restart, Tevez broke free down the center and unleashed a pile driver which the keeper managed to save but spill out wide. Our side back picked the ball up and punted it long up field. It bounced in front of me, and both Ferdinand and Vidic both leaped for it and took each other out. I was clean through and stuck it away with a neat shot in to the bottom corner. 2-0 with 50 mins on the clock. I went on the hunt for my hat-trick and had 2 shots parried and cleared. Then shock and disgust! The manager SUBBED me at 60 mins even though I was still fresher than others in the team and playing extremely well. I coudnt beleive it! Well lo and behold my team fell apart with out me to lead them, Rooney scored a brace in 5 mins, and Ronaldo made it 3-2 with a header at the near post.

Last game against Everton the manager benched me for the entire game and we lost 4-0. Chelsea meanwhile had hammered Arsenal 5-0 to go top of the league on the last day and take the title. The manager had blown it bigtime, for the second year running we had finished second when we should have won the league.

I just coudnt take it and took the first offer that came up for another decent team. It turned out the team with big ideas was Celtic, they came with an offer to double my wages. What the hell I thought, if I can make it with Fulham who were bottom feeders when I joined I can do great things with a mid table team.

A new stage awaits. Parkhead is trembling with anticipation of the great things to come.

I don't blame your mate... vidicwent to man city, ronaldo went to barca. Terry went to hull!!!!! suprised sure 2nd season and i have played 1 1/2 seasons with newcastle... I won D1 Top scorer 2 seasons in a row in which i have no clue how i did. Got knocked out in the knockout stages gainst man utd (COMEEE ON) only because i was a sub in the second leg. Oh well won top scorer in that. D1 Cup got knocked out cuz we put out a useless team who couldn't pass. so i won MOM : 40 times in two seasons 1st: 15 2nd: 25 due to an influx of games as we had to qualify for europe matches and also playin for england. Yet the highest team who want's is Mallorca .... they were 17th that season i need a team in the top 10.

So its now my 2nd season with Man Utd (if u count the last one as 1 since i joined them halfway through the season). And its 8 games played so far and 8 games won. And i scored 9 goals so far! Not bad for someone who is playing as a SMF :p. And 4 of my goals came in a single match during the 1st 20mins of game time. I'm still not sure how i did it but my teammates decided to become passing gods for that spell. That and the opposing defense and keeper decided to become some kinda schoolboy side for that spell. But i had hammered in 4 goals in by 20mins in almost a blitzkerg like fashion. I'm still kinda in abit of shock of what i did since i never imagined it was possible on Top Player to score so many in BAL mode. Throughout the match Man Utd juz kept attacking. We eventually finished the game 5-2 winners :D. And i'm pretty much on a scoring run already, netted at least a goal in the last 5 games. Come to think of it, that match was my 1st competitive hat-trick through my whole BAL career. :D Now i'm hoping to aim for the scoring special ability which would be pretty sweet :D

That's great, you've got number 10 in your national team. When did you get selected for your nation team? I'm sure you must win prices before you get picked, or is somebody picked without winning prices and just playing the game at a normal club?

Your match rating is more important than what you win, I won nothing with Portsmouth and got into the England squad as a sub, after 2 qualifiers with an average rating of 7.5 I was in the first team and have been since ( 27 caps 13 goals ).

Yo ho ho.

Ive been watching this forum for Months, never joined or posted though so here goes.

Right, ive moved around alot.

2008-09 Was at wigan for the first half then moved to West ham where i didnt play.
Moved to Newcastle for a season and a half and i got a call up From United Where i stayed for a year and a half, i got bored there and moved to inter for a challenge. Which was useless as the team is shite. I mean i tried my best but it didnt work.
I moved to AS Roma for the second half of the season But i wanted to get back to english football so i moved to arsenal for this season. Scored on my debut with a corner header.

My player has evolved ok but i still need to bring him togeather, Hes 6'5 and originally an AMF, but i play so well as a CMF.
He's 22 now btw.

Nice to finally be part of this forum.

Hi everyone,

I've been playing BaL for about a week now and im about 5 games away from finishing my first season with Hull City. I chose DMF as my position but Hull play me as CMF. Currently im the leading scorer for the team by far and im ranked 9th on the League Goals Rating at the moment.

Must say im really enjoying the mode so far. Just a quick question: I play on Top player with 30min games, do many other people play with this time setting?

Can anyone help? I also have the same problem with Ghana...I should be in the squad at least but nothing has happened so far. Does BAL only allows international games with England?

No not yet :( But I hope to be transfered to a good team next year, which plays in Europe, and I guess it'll happen iff I continue scoring my goals.

I think it depends on your average season rating. When I scored 27 goals in season 3, my average was only 6.23 - no call up. Now in season 5 my average is about 6.6, and they called me immediately, even though I only scored 14 so far. Unfortunately the stupid coach left me on the bench in the qualifiers until it was too late, so Hungary didn't make it - yet again...

As a matter of fact, after I left Sampdoria and joined Portsmouth, I finally started to become a lot more consistant. I scored 9 goals in 16 games with Pompey, but our defense was really poor, so when I had an offer from the Spurs, I moved again.

Played 8 games there so far (actually only started the last 4), scored 5 goals, and helped the team climb back up to 5th place in the league. 11 games to go, I'm hoping for at leat 6 more goals, so I could reach 20. The team's goal is to finish in the top 5, the title is pretty much out of reach anyway, Chelsea has an 8 point lead over Newcastle (58/50), while we have 46. The middle of the table is very tight, 2nd to 11th only separated by 8 points, so it wil be tough.

Just thought that I'd provide my story :)

My player, named Cucci, is currently 19, in his 3rd season (top player). First season, I started at Willem II as a tall (188 cm) SMF (right side), and was providing fairly little from that position for most of the season to be honest, though I did somehow provide 6 goals (all toward the second half of the season) and a few assists. Most of my games (10-15 minutes) resulted in 6-6.5 ratings, with very few breaking 7. We ended a fairly disappointing 11th, dropping out of all cup competitions fairly early and commonly getting 0-0 draws. (though these also did come against the likes of Ajax, FC Twente, and PSV) Few appealing offers came in the January transfer window so I decided to wait until the end of the season, in which I got offers from several other poor performers in the Dutch league. I waited for better teams, and I quickly snatched at the opportunity to move to the Italian league, via Torino.

My career at Torino got off to an excellent start, scoring once via a heavily deflected shot after a scramble in the box and providing a scuffed, unintentional assist within my first two training games. I played my third game in the A team, and scored in this game as well, from another deflected shot. I made the bench and impressed at each opportunity, and quickly found myself in the first team.

This excellent form didn't continue in the first team, however, as my teammates weren't providing any decent passing or runs, and I was finding myself doing a lot of the work. I was moved to CMF in the league and DMF in cup ties, and was finding my team's lack of ability (with the exception of Rosina) disappointing and rather frustrating. I wanted to get out as soon as possible as the 0-0 draws continued, but the winter transfer window provided few good opportunities and I decided to stick with Torino until at least the end of the season. It turned out to be a good decision, as we scraped past Inter in our quarter-final tie, winning the tie on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate scoreline. After drawing 0-0 away to Milan in the semi's we disappointingly drew 1-1 at home, dropping out on away goals. Despite this I somehow found form in the last 5 games of the season, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists, bumping my team from 11th to a fairly respectable 7th position. Regardless, this sudden burst did not convince any teams above 10th to request my signature, so I decided to stay with Torino to try to replicate my good form.

This did not come, however, and I was relegated to the bench for the first 9 games of the season despite being called up for Belgium and putting in good performances off the bench, including 3 goals as well as 1 goal and an assist in the European qualifiers, against Bulgaria and Italy, respectively. Our team, which had such a solid defense last season, started leaking goals, though it also suddenly found goal scoring form with the help of Rosina and Bianchi. 2-0 leads would become 3-2 losses, and a 5-0 loss to rivals Juventus certainly added to the frustration. I decided that I had to leave in January this time, and after several low-key offers I got the very surprising dream offer from Inter Milan, which I instantly accepted.

I've played 5 training matches so far, all of which have been fairly poor for me (it's not easy having to face Inter's first team every week!). Hopefully I can make the bench (or even the A team...) sometime soon (perhaps with some heavily deflected goals or some unintentional assists!) though it certainly won't be easy. Hopefully I break in before the end of the season though, it would be nice to get to get some playing time before they inevitably realize that I'm awful.

Hi,

I'm new to BAL. I play PES 2009 at PS2, so I don't get the training match, and those stuff. I don't understand some of the discussion here. Anybody play PES 2009 at PS2?? Or am I in the wrong thread?

I went to Siena in Italy in the first season (well, I'm still in the first season). So far, until the 23 match, I've scored 23 goals (Beginner mode - I'm suck), but find it quite hard to score goals, in spite of the 23 goals I scored. I'm looking forward for National Team call-up, but I guess I have to wait until the 2nd season. Am I right?

Any tip from fellow strikers??

Oh, and I grow-up so sloooowwwww!! Is it the way it is? No more bonus point at the end of each season??

maybe only because Ronaldinho just quit from the brazil national team,so i got his number. i have number 11 in manchester united, maybe Giggs just retired.

season 2,year 2010, the world cup year, i'm in Siena, i havn't been called by national team.
Senson 3 , in Lazio, play for Brazil in three international friendly matchs, with 3 goals.
After senson 4,there is South American cup.
