Right now, i am looking at my copies of Pes for the psx, pes4/5/6 for the ps2, pes 6/2008 for the xbox360 and i have to admit i am done with pes for this year.

I am going to get Fifa 09 and play that this coming year. Seeing how much money i invested in Konami over the years, and seeing how little they gave me back each year, it is time to make a (small) statement by not getting the new version, and essentially, not handing over my money like a little b!tch each time Konami wants me to. And, to be completely honest, i really liked the demo Fifa put out on 360. I can see myself playing that for a long while.

Will i abandon pes? Don't think so, old love is hard to get away from. Do we need some time apart and maybe see other people to find out where we both are heading? Definitly.

Played both FIFA and PES to death this year and Im givin up on both.

FIFA has improved massively but its still dull and it bored me within a couple of weeks. Any football game that you can do a 'rainbow kick' in should be marketed for 8 year olds only. I have never seen that trick done ever in a real game of football yet you can pull it off with ease.

PES though, has not improved enough since the last one. PES 2008 had loads of faults but was still fun to play, especially 2 player. I bought this version in the vain hope the makers may have listened to fans of the series and taken out the stupid faults and expanded parts of the game / made them more enjoyable. However they really havent bothered. They make it, we buy it. They dont care that keepers often seem to have one arm and no brains. they dont care that you CANT BE OFFSIDE when you play the ball backwards. They dont care that when you slide while stood in front of a player and the player falls over that its not a foul. Infact this time not only is it a foul but 90% of the time its a yellow card.

I'm not complaining that it happens against me, it happens just as much in my favour. Its just wrong. they need to buck their ideas up for next time.

Also, people need to stop defending the indefendable. Just because komani cant be bothered to improve the game doesnt mean the people complaining are abusing you personally. We are just annoyed that the game we love is becoming a bit of a joke

I agree with the licenses. Why isn't it fully updated? Konami is a fucking billionaire industry and the stupid game makers can't be bothered to do the whole team? They license man utd and liverpool and fuck up the spanish division.. MAKES NO SENSE, Many people may not be able to do option files and stuff its also very fucking long, who has time to do that when they just want to play the game?

In throw ins, Players are in same position, cant get infront of AI players, it's like theres an invisible barrier...
Penalties should be dertermomed on POWER? theres no power bar it's just all placement which is whack.
Agility, Weak foot acc, freq, dosent increase in BAL, why not? Seems very stupid it should vary on how many goals, assists, shots on target you do with your weaker foot dertermine it on going up or something?
The people who make the game are useless, should sack them all. Konami is based in asia and the best division in football is in england, so they make all the gameplay in asia? WHY FFS!? I swear I will e-mail them that they have done a shit job on making the 'best football game of the year' ? No way. The passing system is MESSED UP. I end up in a situation where I want to pass to a specific player then it passes to another one ill end up saying 'I DIDNT PASS TO HIM!??!' Pisses me off.. The money these idiots make and the output in the game is ridiculous. The diving system don't fucking work.. They put it there and you GET a yellow card? So you put a diving system there for fun? Stupid cunts, it dosen't get me any lucky penalties or freekicks or anything.
Updates of transfers is appaling. Berbatov still in tottenham, robinho in man city all this stuff should have been sorted but it's not? I swear I would slap the owner of Konami to do a better job or sack the whole of Konami gamemake staff or something..
I do love PES9 I am sticking with it I'm just saying NEXT FUCKING YEAR THEY NEED TO BULK UP, OR THEY WILL END UP LOSING MONEY.

No mate i think you will find that mr burell is spot on.konami had what they call the fantasista mode (i think thats how u prononce it lol)in winning eleven long before fifa.also i may be wrong but i am lead to believe this update will add various options /downloads/uploads /kits kind of stuff .and for the record fifa boys will always slate evo because imo evo is too hard for them.lol

In actual fact they both nicked the idea off of a game called Player manager from Anco where you just controlled one player. This was done early 90's.

But I disagree about sacking them all. They've still made the best game on the market; its a class game.

AI tackle is the only thing that bothers me with PES. But when it happens I want to rip my hair out. So far AI tackles have given me four red cards and three penalties. Drives me nuts!

My Dumb AI Team​

I am playing Become a Legend (Top Player) now I am 23 and in the AC Milan (or that's what's written) first team and the leading scorer of the league till now, just moved to them from North London, my first big match was with Juv. I scored a goal and assisted in one but they won 4-3 thanks to my retard defense, after that we played against Inter I scored two goals but again they won 3-2 (how convenient for them), then came our match against the Super over talented unsurpassed kings ACF Fiorentina ... at least in this game... which by the way are in 10th position in the league .. I scored the first then assisted in another but to my amazement we lost 5-3 .. yes I did not miss type that they won 5-3.. they came back using their super powers.. because as you all know they come from the planet (cheat)rozia like most teams I play against .. I don't have enough words to describe that match my defense were like 2 year olds just walking around creating miles and mile of space for the opposition those pinheads, lousy good for nothing....

What the hell is that what was KNOAMI thinking making the players AI sooooo DUMB, I never saw anything like that, they didn't know how to make it harder for the person playing so they STUPIFIED his team... I mean that's LOW.

I have just got fifa and its imense. i love the music in the game aswell. The online...where do i begin. there are more online modes in fifa than in the entire pes game. ive played 5 online matches and have had ABSOLUTE NO LAG. Not even the slightest ATALL. nothing. Truely amazing. I love being able to be liverpool in this game cos they are actually rated and torres is actually fast. Such a great game. im never turning back unless there an overhaul and even then ill still buy fifa.

The thing i love most is the gameplay. There is SO MUCH annimation in every movement and allover the pitch. for example i was running down the wing with keane and the ball was running out. Then out of nowhere he slid for it and tried to keep it in, with success. That was quality. I love being able to pass it about realistically with andy gray and taylor commentating about indepth stuff. The fans!! Ive heard atleast 5-6 songs that liverpool actually sing! And they have anfield!! and the gameplay is quality!!!! and im participating in the interactive league where i represent my team in a England League table!!! i havnt even gone offline yet and im already amazed at the options. Just being able to knock the ball about and then turn it on when you want is great. The gameplay is so much more open and varied and random than i thought. so much more realistic than pes. i hate pes now. no going back. Im making it a personal mission to convert everyone i can.
