You should be able to TACKLE!! You can't tackle anyone! When I press X or even Square (which doesn't even work), my player just runs with the opposing player and does nothing!

Also, it's unrealistic that when I have 3-4 players around one large (Zigic, Vucinic, Van Nistelrooy), they still can't take the ball off! All this needs to be sorted.

I did like to see TRIALS added in Master League. So that way , i can put up a trial for a player who i am interested in, for say one week to one month, and see if he fits in the team properly or if he is useful at all. That way, we can make worthy purchases and not waste money. (except for the trial fee)..

PES 2010 FULL VERSION broke my heart with unrealistic PACE

Somebody....anybody....
As much a diehard PES fan I am, you would understand my feelings
when I say I was disappointed by the pace the game plays at. The demo version was in my point of view much more realistic considering the passing ability and speed of the players. I really was fascinated by
the demo version; it truly rang the bells for me that for the first
time the speed was spot on. Is it my PS3 `s problem or is it that
KONAMI decided to up things a little bit in the last minute?
I am yet to afford an HDTV for my house; I play SD for the time
being. Again, is it my PES copy`s problem or universal that the
commentators don`t say the player`s names? I found out that the same thing happens to some people with SDTV out there too but nothing original.

and when a player is tackled and the ball is heading toward a teammate , you think he would give the advantage , but once the teammate touches the ball , the stupid referee stops play (he should only do this if the ball is heading toward the opponent)

about the free kicks , when I play an assisted free kick (when you press R1+L1) it's way toooooooo easy to score , the wall of players don't even bother to move when the free kick is passed that way (R1+L1) neither the keeper ... so what practically happens is that now you have a free kick with no wall ...

The main thing they need to do is LISTEN!
So much on here are things that have been said about the last several version and they just haven't fixed them.

I've been playing PES since ISS and I've noticed they are trying to hard to make you play THIER way rather than allowing free and open play like FIFA.

My main complaints are: -

They need to fix the refs, they are extremely poor - call fouls for good tackles most of the time (and give reds far too often) but allow an AI player to slide and NOT EVEN TOUCH the ball in the penalty area, take you out but nothing given. (Asked about this being patched via email but KONAMI won't respond).

They need to learn the offside rule - Say you get dispossed - to the game that counts as as a pass and you get ruled offside if a player is out of line. You make a pass and you get offside even though the offside player is no where near the player who got the ball. Or you pass to the left wing and because someone on the opposite wing is offside it calls it. Does KONAMI actually watch real football or what??

They need to fix "magic bounce" - I notice if the ball bounces off someone (or bounces in general) it almost ALWAYS goes to an opposition player.

Tackling is pretty bad in this game - 3 on 1 and you still don't get the ball.

Anyone notice when YOU have the ball, the opposition are all over you, yet even if you set tactics to press the ball your players never seem to be where they should be.

Stop ping-pong in the midfield. Notice when they have the ball there's always a pass to go to - when you have it, your midfield goes awol.

Change the way defenders suddenly have a stat boost - e.g. you have, say Heskey versus a defender and he's just easily knocked off the ball by a midget defender - I mean the guys over 6 foot and built like an outhouse! Or you have a fast forward and all of a sudden John Terry can run like Ronaldo!

Change the way keepers work. Take Real Madrid - you shoot at thier keeper, even if its a point blank shot and he saves it. They shoot from miles out and in it goes. There's to large a gap in keeper ability - they either seem to be superman or a cripple and when they do let a ball in it's usually something stupid rather than a good shot.

Sort the passing out - say you just threw the ball out, players are running forward, you see a guy running on the top wing, so you press diagonal forward and up, and it gets passed forward?!? you make a good through ball and it automatically passes it too far forward. Make manual passes on all the buttons - let us choose how far and in which direction using the analog stick, stop messing it up for us. manual passes take too long.

Let US choose which player we want when we press L1 (or use the right stick to select player) as the game makes poor decisions - never lets you be the player in the best position.

Make players off the ball actually DO something. They don't tackle, they don't make runs etc.

Make a "Make a run button". Why should I have to pass first to get a run going?

Make it so we can choose where we would like players to run, what sort of runs, defensive position etc in tactics. There aren't enough options.

Make the call a defender button ACTUALLY WORK! I've been chasing a player HOLDING the button and still no one else moves to help unless they're right on top of them, in which case they run in a circular motion to run BEHIND the player.

Stop making defender auto run behind players (as above) or when passes/lobs are made, don't position them in stupid places. E.g. you through ball to the wing and they run between the passer and recipient. Surely if I'm pushing in the direction of the pass (with the recipient) to get the ball before the interception is made, the player should run there, not keep running forward.

Make it so then when there is an interception made, the other players don't stop running. e.g. you initiate a run, a player tackles you, you get the ball back quickly but can't pass as they stop the run.

Make it so being tackled doesn't mean you have to jog for the next few seconds before that player will do anything.

If I slide and get the ball, how the hell can they get back off the floor and get the ball back before I do?!?

In short, actually write a PES 2011, seems like PES 2010 is actually PES 2008 version 3, rather than a new game.
If your current team can't produce anything better then FIRE THEM.
I know seabass is a legendary developer but it seems he and his team can't hack writing for multiple platforms.

PES is getting poorer and poorer with each version and it's getting to the point where PES is no longer gonna be commercially viable.
Be honest, how many here would actually buy the next PES without playing it first? If it's got the same old crap that's in this version, would you buy it? I know I won't.

Show us your serious KONAMI, at least patch the referee, it can't be that hard surely?

In the past pro evo's, in master leagues you could see your past seasons statistics like how many goals you scored and how many goals your players scored in that season and so on, they took it out why? that was a good feature, put it back in, anyone else notice it?

I notice there's lots of people complaining about PES on here.
I also notice KONAMI are completly silent....
No posts, no "we're listening", no "we'll fix the crappy referee", no "we'll try and patch this", nothing.
Am I the only one of the opinion that KONAMI really don't give a damn?
It's alright everyone saying give them time, etc.
The refs been (really, incredibly, in a class of thier own) crap since (at least) 2008 and yet.... silence... no patch, no "we're aware of it", just silence.
Either they can't fix it, don't care, or seeing as they already have everyone's money, they have no intention of fixing it....
C'mon mods - what's going on... are we just talking to ourselves here or what?
I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything, but there's very little point us showing KONAMI where they have gone wrong (Just like we showed em with 08 and 09) if they're just gonna put thier fingers in thier ears and release a game with the same old bugs next year.
I mean they were SUPPOSED to have done it this year, they said they had, everyone figured they would and it's basically the same bloody game with a few tweaks and updated stats/visuals. Even the commentary is the same (Just like it has been for several years, another thing we have asked for and they ignore).
What's going on?

I'd like to see the right analog stick used for dribbling moves instead of the pass function it has now.

* More Leagues

Come on Konami! I'm sure you can get the rights to the Greek/ Portuguese/ Cypriot/ Turkish/ Russian etc leagues. They would help the Master League SOOOOO much. Many teams competing in the many rounds of qualification for CL and EL. It would be exciting! No more same 5-6 leagues.. with random rest of Europe teams joining in.

* BETTER CROWD

We need a louder crowd! More intense! Playing in hostile rival fields should make a difference. Loud drums making the controller vibrate. Flares! Smoke! Debris on the field! More banners!! The crowd needs life!! If Greece plays Turkey, it should feel like GREECE PLAYING TURKEY!!

* Better International mode

What happened to qualifying for the World Cup? Or the Euro? And why do all the international cup modes feel so generic? Come on!! They should be exciting! With colorful designs! Passionate player/ crowd animations! These are the national teams!!! Dramatic goals where the players rush into the crowd!! Flares!! aaahhhh!!! .. you get what I'm saying..

* Where's the snow?

How the hell come there's no snow on the field?

* Create a stadium mode

Maybe you can't get all the stadiums in, but what if you would let us create our teams stadium? Everything from size, color, banners, nets, flags etc.

* Better presentation!

Come on.. the pre-game intros can be better.. it's 2010.. You can put full National anthems in international competitions. Maybe show the fans getting crazy. Teams exchanging flags/team photos. Updates on other relevant games going on at the same time (like in CL or EL or World Cup). Maybe show stats from previous meetings between the teams. The commentators can make predictions (England should beat Canada). But if Canada takes the lead, "Oh My! What a goal! Canada is ahead!! I can't believe this!!" You know what I mean? Make it exciting!!

* More variety in unlockable special teams

Like maybe Uruguay from the first world cup. Or Greece Euro 2004. Just some variety is all.

* Master League 2nd division for ALL leagues

It's not fair that the teams in the non-user leagues can finish last and not be relegated! They should all have 2nd divisions! Master league should be EPIC!!



PS.. I really want to see the Greek league..

Ya can use the left analog stick fine for dribbling IMHO - so why not use the right stick to control the team - like an "I intend to move play in this direction" stick, or to initiate wing play/middle attack or predefined runs/plays. As it is at the moment the AI just isn't on the same wavelength I find - stops runs to early, doesn't run ahead enough sometimes.

A lot of what i'm about to write may have been covered, but it's worth re-itterating so here goes:

Graphics

The current graphics for players and the referee are pretty solid - not awe inspiring, but solid, and as PES fans, we all know gameplay is more important so Konami don't need to spend as much time on this area of the game as others. Having said that, the crowd and stadiums need to be more detailed. For example, there shouldn't be 70,000 people at Old Trafford wearing the exact same shirt.

Animations

This is a key point in my mind. Goalkeeper animations in particular seem to be not quite right. For example when you have a screaming 30 yard shot with Gerrard, and the keeper just casually moves to the side and catches it. Finger tip saves should be more realistically modelled - the ball shouldn't move at a right-angle if the keeper just touches it with his finger tips.

The Little Things

- Get rid of the darned invisible barriers on throw ins, and even on free kicks. There could be perhaps a circle super imposed onto the pitch to show a 10 yards radius with the player having the option to risk getting booked by moving closer. Obviously the strictness of the ref could play a part in whether the player receives a card or not.

- The noise of the crowd, is especially important. It's the biggest cliche in football, but Anfield on a European night should feel special. The commentators should comment on it saying stuff like 'Just listen to the Kop tonight - they're up for it' etc. Also, playing a dead rubber midweek clash between Bolton and Fulham should feel that way. There should be empty seats, which also the commentators comment on. 'Oh it's a real problem for them, and one the chairman should be monitoring closely, perhaps the price of tickets has something to do with it? What do you think Mark?' 'Errrrm, well... You knerr...' etc

- More stadiums, whether they are unlicensed or not. PS2 has more, why not across platforms? Make more smaller, generic grounds up. FIFA has Ivy Lane which looks like a lot of grounds in the Premiership, why can't PES?

- Injuries should be more realistic I feel. Say Tomas Gravesen goes in hard/2 footed on C.Ronaldo, then Ronaldo should be rolling around with a broken leg which you should be able to see, like if the bone has come through the skin or what.

- Make teams feel more individual/unique. Stoke should not play it around casually ont the halfway line for 40 passes like Arsenal. Italian teams should sit back and play it slowly/counter attack. Again this should be commented on. "Well you've got to admire the technical brilliance of this Roma side, but as spectacle it's far from great".

- Presentation could be improved massively. It should feel like i'm watching the game on ITV/BBC. For example the scores and time should be in a solid box in the top of one corner, like it currently is in UCL mode. Perhaps a deal could be done with ESPN allowing them to put 'ESPN live' in a corner? On FIFA 2000 you had Gary Lineker introduce the commentary team - that was slick and added to the presentation. When the teams walk out the camera should follow a key player from each team and comments should be made as to how they will impact on the game. Head to heads even - Vidic v Torres - "Well in the last 2/3 meetings Torres has given Vidic real problems". League table brought up at the end of the game. If it's the final day and each result counts, scores could be brought up midway through the match with the commentators explaining the different permeatations.

- Transfers should be more realistic. For example in my current ML season on PES 10, i'm in season 4 and Real Madrid have bought every Barca player apart from Valdes and Henry, and have re-sold Ronaldo and RVN back to Man Utd. It's crazy!

- Weather conditions - Snow! Yellow balls should be used automatically -even FIFA 99 had that! It shouldn't just be either 'rainy, or sunny' aswell. Conditions should be relevant to the time of the season and the location of the match. If it's in England the weather should change at the drop of a hat from sunny to cloudy. The physics of the ball should change. If it's raining then the ball should skid away from players, but if it hammers it down for 90 minutes, then by the end of the game the ball should be getting stuck in puddles, players stamina should diminish faster.

- And I almost forgot the most important one - bring back the cut scenes of you winning the trophy!

There are so many things that can be improved! I'll give someone else a chance now.
