You were right. Got my ass handed to me by the Jaguars and the Chiefs. Back down to all pro and upped most of the CPU's sliders.

GFirst off traded a 5th (or 6th can't remember) round pick to the Seahawks for Matt Flynn.

I am such a stickler for realistic rosters in every sports game I play that when I saw this a month ago I grumbled under my breath. However, the Raiders acquired Flynn from the seahawks today. Swami

Barry Sanders bests Adrian Peterson; I imagine this means Madden will develop more classic players this coming edition.

In some older versions, Madden 2007-2009 years, I created the classic 1978 SuperBowl team of the Steelers. Was shocked to find the names of many were hidden for commentary. Jack Lambert for example. There was no player in the league named Lambert or Blount at the time but they came out in commentary.

Appswah,

I downloaded the NCAA14 demo the other night. The running backs are incredibly smooth. They really tightened up the controls. Same goes on defense so no over running the play again and again because you can move a defender into space with better control. Always hated covering a wide receiver and a small little slip of the stick forces your corner or safety to run 4yards away from the man being covered.

Hope this carries over to Madden.

the NCAA said they will not renew their contract with EA. I am not sure if this means they will no longer honor an exclusive license with them or no more NCAA football game.

Never played NCAA but I assume from videos I've seen that it's relationship with Madden is like Fifa and Pes.

Madden all flashy and shiny with names etc and NCAA trying to be the best at gameplay. I was going to attempt to download the demo but it's a lot of hassle and I've not got round to it yet.

Might stay away from Madden this year and get it next year on the PS4.

Has anyone played the Madden 25 demo yet? Not sure what to think tbh.

I've seen some stupid glitches though. Their whole team goes invisible on kick off and when returning you can just see a few shadows on the pitch and nothing else

I like the trainer they included though!

edit:

Happened again. RG RT and QB all disappeared lol.

It's good not great. Running the ball is too easy and there's far too much spinning etc

The CPU caught a screen pass and I went to tackle their RB who span 3 times in a row and it felt so unrealistic. It's like in Fifa where the CPU uses tricks when not appropriate.

I was going to give this year a miss anyway but might pick it up if it goes cheap. The career mode is looking good, you can move a team to a few places London being one of the options which is cool.

other than the possibility of getting the NFL tv package for $100 with the game, I might skip as well. EA seems to be falling apart at the seams. I just play too much FIFA, and if FIFA doesn't fix 6 simple easy repairs this year (more on that later), I am buying PES. That is enough games for the fall.

I played about 3 quarters tonight. NCAA running game is actually better, not as loose. First play from scrimmage on all-madden level I take Frank Gore 77 yards for a touchdown. Starting right tackle, about a 330pound man ran with me stride for stride. I get the ball back later, Kappy keeps the ball on an option play 50+ yards. 2 more Gore runs and a TD. Gore 3 carries 110+ yards.

I see what you mean about the cpu ball carrier. I came to meet ray rice at the line of scrimmage and he made this crazy 90degree shuffle, never turning his shoulder, to mirror my defender all the way to the sideline where he finally out ran me shuffling sideways. He must have been on ice skates.

I am going to go on EA madden forum and read the hate mail.

Aah, somehow I missed this post, must have got mixed up with FL notifications. Have you played any more since?

I've decided to stick with Madden 13 but downloaded a roster off a forum which has the latest squads - rookies have been created etc. Only thing that bugs me is Hernandez still being on the roster as If I cut him some other team will pick him up. I'm actually really enjoying playing with a whole new set of WR's - great fun.

I think most my time over the next six months will be spent on GTA 5 and Fifa anyways - so Madden 25 would probably sit and collect dust after a week or two.

downloaded roster off a forum? on ps3? do tell. I never knew EA was allowing that to happen to Madden - can the same be done for FIFA I wonder.

It's fairly easy to do.

http://www.operationsports.com/forums/madden-nfl-football-rosters/622316-madden-25-rosters-ps3.html

To save me some time:

In order to get this roster you have to download a winzip program from the internet. Once is downloaded, go to the media file located on the first page. Click on it and it will prompt you to either open or save. You ALWAYS want to open first. I made the mistake many a time on other rosters of saving first. After you open the file, highlight the folder and then click on extract all files. When the extract box appears on your screen, make sure you extraxt it to the drive that contains your flash drive. Once that is completed, take your flash drive and place into your ps3. Go to the saved data memory card utility and click on the usb icon. When you see your roster download, select copy. After this, start madden 13. When you get to the main menu of madden 13, click the square button and go to manage files. Load your newly saved madden 25 roster. If you are going to use a ccm, on the selection screen after you start a new ccm, select import my madden roster and Enjoy. These rosters are very good as i am completely impressed with Brent Grimes not having to be created AND most of the upcoming rookies are in this update. The OP is currently working on completing this facet of adding more rookies. I wish him the best and i hope he knows how greatly appreciated he is! Have fun!!

When copying the files onto your memory stick you need to put it into a folder named PS3 or else the ps3 wont recognise it. Then copy that save to your HDD and load up Madden 13. Then press square -> Manage files -> load and load the save file you've just downloaded.

If you want to set up a career you need to chose the correct roster when setting up the career else you will always start with the latest. Obviously it's a fan made roster so players stats etc aren't perfect but you can fiddle around here and there. Some silly teething problems like a few names spelt wrong, players with the wrong number but that can be changed...It's better than nothing I guess!

i think its great, I never thought about the possibility before. I typically make the Pittsburgh rookies and maybe a few others but it will be nice to have a full allotment.

Takes me back to the days of playing PES 4/5/6. I think I spent more time editing players, kits etc than I did playing matches lol.

that is a great file, just inserted it and have been checking it out. I can't believe EA lets us do this, particularly given all the crap with careers not being editable when the game was first released. Maybe that is the reason the door has been opened like it is.

I wish FIFA was the same way. I edited bundesliga and the premier league but because of that, I cannot update squads from the EA download or it will erase them. However, madden is protected from that because the ability to save multiple rosters, which I have done over many years.

Made one change that happened today; Steelers traded a decent backup OLB for Felix Jones who had gone from Dallas to Philly. Funny enough, Felix Jones was drafted one spot behind Rashard Mendenhall that year. We get rid of Mendy and end up with Jones. We also have Larod Stephens-Howling from Arizona, who looked great in preseason until he was injured. We needed a speedy 3rd down back but jones will do nothing all year. Oh, and I cut Plaxico Burress since his shoulder injury basically ended his career.

Madden 15 is out in the US today. Can't wait to get my hands on it on Friday - I've been itching to play Madden since I traded in my next gen copy of 25 but I borrowed 25 on PS3 from a mate and have been playing that again. From what I've seen (few videos and streams) 15 looks awesome. It's not perfect but it never will be and there will always be niggles.

Anyone else getting it? I think I saw Bish was interested in getting it.

Played the demo, it definitely plays/looks much better than M25 that's for sure! No that I'd buy it anyway!
