Bit annoyed really as I thought the whole point of having a online CC (whether single player or not) was for small updates and roster changes to be available as soon as they upload them. I can't see why we have to wait longer for the other game modes to get a roster update.

I think it is because EA has so much scripted BS in that career mode that they need to restructure the architecture before putting more players in. If they just gave us old franchise mode we would be off an running. I would draw a comparison to FIFA12's scripted transfers but at least we could start a career there with customized rosters.

Since EA missed out on a defensive back the steelers have, and all the bounty gate players such as Jonathan Vilma, I sure hope they release another update soon, or at least include these new changes with the CC update.

EDIT: damn it all, they didn't even get the numbers correct. I have linebackers wearing 40numbers. That is not even legal in the NFL, only in preseason. And we cannot edit numbers and have them stick for CC. They better fix this for the week.

I've just restarted a CC and it does use a different roster as there's the preseason roster of 75 (i think it's 75?) If they had put the final cuts in there wouldn't be much do in the first pre-season apart from the games. This doesn't excuse the fact players are missing though.

don't get fooled. Steelers signed a new punter, old one is still in CC, yet new one is in the new roster download this morning. That was my signal player I checked on first.

Started a 2nd career with the Redskins (again haha) to run alongside the patriots career mode just for something a little harder. I've stuck it on all madden too which is killing me haha. I went 17-0 up against the saints only for them to comeback and demolish me 24-38, I say demolish as no points were scored in the 4th quarter. 5 touchdowns in 2 quarters. Threw 4 interceptions as well :facepalm:

I remember the days of Madden 06-08 when the CPU would run a 70yd touchdown right before the half or end of game if they were down. The running back would run straight for that 70 yards, never cutting, and breaking 4-5 tackles along the way. Infuriating. PES players have no idea what scripting is until they experienced this.

God, I remember stuff like that. I'd be holding their QB to mostly short gains and then an 80 yard bomb from no where, with my secondary suddenly turning into crap.

I swear the CPU ignores me tapping triangle to catch and interception and the ball just hits my players helmet and drops to the floor. However throw a ball within 6 foot of a CPU controlled safety or a cornerback and bam interception. Might need to fiddle with the sliders abit.

I do love this game though, especially now I've got alot better at running the ball..Struggled like hell at first.

that is what I was saying the other day. some very weird timing on tapping the button when All-Madden level to catch the ball. I often will tap the button to catch the ball on All-Pro level but sometimes I let the cpu do the work when an important catch so it doesn't get foiled by the weird timing. I think it gets locked into an animation catch so the button timing doesn't work right. Has been the case since Madden has existed.

Getting back into this. Found some slider settings which seem to be working nicely and started up a CC as the Raiders coach. First off traded a 5th (or 6th can't remember) round pick to the Seahawks for Matt Flynn. Got Nick Collins and Kellen Winslow in as they were FA. Winslow seems to keep dropping open passes but makes some insane catches in traffic - weird.

Pre-Season consisted of me playing the 1st half of the game with Palmer at QB then 2nd half with Flynn. Just trying to decide who should be my starter - I decided to stick with Palmer. Went 4-0 in pre-season beating the Cowboys, Cardinals, Lions and Seahawks. Seahawks being a close game 20-17.

Onto the regular season results:

vs Chargers: Win - 38-10
@ Dolphins: Win 28-3
vs Steelers: Win 17-9 (Pick six in 4th quarter)
@ Broncos: Loss 49-28 - Started strongly only for Manning and Decker to tear me to pieces.

Bye Week in Week 5 so I'm now in Week 6 @ The Falcons.

In 4 Season Games so far:

Flynn: 250 yards 4 TD's 1 INT 62.5 Average Yards per Game

I like to bring Flynn on in the 4th If I feel the game is won. Palmer tends to fumble in the 4th quarter if he gets sacked - Something to do with stamina I'm guessing.

I'd like to get more of a running game going but really am struggling.

glad to see you are still going at madden. I haven't played since november, however with free agency in the works, it gets me excited to manually move some players around and start up again.

given the only reason I owned a ps1 and ps2 was to play madden, my lack of playing is shocking to myself. I am at least one hundred games down from my typical playing rate.

i would drop too many balls on all madden as you are forced to actively catch every ball with your controller. I find that I already hit the catch button but on really easy catches I don't want to muck it up.

i think I would turn those cpu defensive sliders up before jumping to all madden.
