Yeah, he is a nice player, 23, and unexpensive...
But Semih is better. Altho being 26, he isn't on his peak yet, which comes in 2 years. And on his peak he could be like Eto'o... just not as fast tho.

Just finished my third season - had a poor middle of the second half of the season - got knocked out of Europe on away goals, and my title bid got destroyed, before I also fell to third.
In the D1 cup, I did well to get to the semis, where I lost 3-2 away to Chelsea in the first leg, but I manage to go through on away goals after 18 year old Windass scored the only goal in the home game. However, after dominated the 0-0 draw with Portsmouth in the final, it went to penalties, where Ambrosini and Portsmouth's Mizano missed penalties, before Macco missed the decisive one in sudden death - so yet to win a single trophy.
EDIT: my god transfers are tough - signed Cisse, Saivet, Zebina, Gera and Bullard all on frees. Loads of offers rejected for proper transfers - thought I'd got Hart for a swap for Ivarov, but after 2 weeks of postponing, he rejected me. The other targets I was very annoyed to miss out on were Tamas and Geovanni.

Oh no.. trust me it ain't over. I don't think you frustrated enough since your still using a custom team. lol. I was like you with the custom team until I made it into D1. No good player would sign with me even if I was Rank B and they were like rank C or D so I didn't bother with custom teams since then. To make matters worse I had to play cheap every single game to stay "competitive"; score one goal then switch to a more defensive formation for the CPU onslaughts. I hate being cheap and it made ML so boring.
So what did I do next? Well for starters I picked my all time favorite team ManU and I am having a lot of fun with ML to be honest. No need for cheapness either and draw or win alot of my games. Losing only seems to happen with unstoppable Chelsea or Liverpool. Those guys are tough on top player.

When I acquired Chivu and nesta for trade ins I was a happy man. I will mention subs later. I also find it funny how every negotiation window involves teams trying to buy C.Ronaldo and Rooney. lol. Guys... I ain't selling them. Ever.
I'm in my 4th season. Started with default players and I'm in division 1 now, my teams still pretty crap, Baloteli,Kim Dong Jim,Diego,Agbonlahor and Anderson are my best players atm + lots of Koreans & Japanese(there cheap & easy to get). Wonthe league last season and I'm raned 17 in club ranking, with nearly A popularity.Obtaining players is really hard, they never accept.

I was Liverpool last year. Was too easy. Won everything. I am enjoying challenging for things - it means when I win my first trophy, it will be brilliant.
I broke my plan to only move up to Top Player when I won my first title by going up to Top Player already - I have 8 points from 6 games, which is good - including beating reigning champions Liverpool. I am also on full points in Europe, which is very good. I am very pleased with my signings this time, but it's all about Chris Brunt, the guy is a mini Ronaldo, he hits shots so powerfully, and has got so many goals for me - best signing I've made on PES I think.

Lennon & Inesta were great buys as was Saviola.
This has been my best run so far out of any PES I've played.
only conceded 1 goal n 7 games. This has to be down to Toure & Gallas. So so good and strong. Teams find it hard to play against them.

Yes, I prefer player development, as you have to keep changing your team to keep up with aging, etc. More of a challenge, and it keeps the game fresh.

using Rangers FC for three season so far. win D1 League in 1st season, and unbeatable in 2nd season (but lose in league cup). Just started 3rd season with 2 lose

Reached the end of a successful season - my first two trophies. This didn't stop me from making a hell of a lot of changes though:
Starting players Dodo, Macco, Ivarov, Ruskin and Giersen I felt had done all they could for me, and I had to let them go as they were just poor at this stage.
Also, I let Giannakopoulos, Balde, Wallwork and Cousin go, they were aging and I could bring in better players.
I felt with my signings I have overall increased the quality of the team, with Mancienne, Diarra and Zaki all going straight into the first team, Rolando, Krul and Molyneux being very able backups, and Frings, Geovanni and Johnson also being good backups, if not as good as the rest.
Looking forwards to my next season - although I plan to break up my constant spell of ML playing to go on a hunt to unlock as many players as possible first.

in my 3rd season now and to be honest its far too easy even on the hardest level. I have Obinna and Martins up front both signed permanently. Then Kaka RWB Messi LWB Rooney AMF Gerrard and Lampard CMF who are all loan players. Terry (loan) Richards and Djapa (signed) at the back.
Ill see who i can get permanent during the summer from these players i have about 90000 at the moment but imagine ill end up with bout 160000.
I win most games by at least 5-0 and suppose im looking to build a squad of the 30 best players on the game before i get too bored with it
