Master League, is one of the best things about PES, even if it is the same thing year in year out, i still find it great & a challenge, trying to play youth players & making them great.

Just finished my 1st season with AC Milan, won the D2 & in pre season, just bought Van Den Borre & Diego and also signed Higuain on a free transfer (what were Real Madrid thinking lol).
Looking to sign Benzema & Aguero, along with a couple of wingers, will try to sign Anderson as i had him on loan & looks to be a class player in a couple of seasons.
Does anyone know if Banega comes good???

Pro Evo without Master League is like Metal Gear Solid with no FMV's. It is what brought the series to the masses. It was their main feature in converting to the name Pro Evolution Soccer, personally I would never buy another PES if Master League was scrapped id stick with 09 till my time came to kick the proverbial bucket.

It's a great challenge starting with the default players and trying to advance enough to win everything. Especially on top player, it really does teach you the value of team play, as none of your players are good enough to do the FIFA thing ( a long winding run with 1 player ).

Yeah started the ML after installing Von's Option File for all the kits, names etc.
Only prob is that whereas in all previuos versions of PES, the ML leagues correspond to the England League, La Liga Seria A etc (i.e have all the English, Spanish and Italian teams in), they are now completely mixed up.

Anyone else have this problem?

i had this problem i just kept pressing back and forward until all english teams are together but im in the spanish league and italian league is called fa premerleague and i couldnt be botherd to keep changing it utill english teams ahd the right name i think it is impossible

My Master League. You can see most of the details in my signature - having real problems signing players, Kazim, Tomkins and Cousin were all free transfers. Brunt was the only player I've signed from a club.

My second season (first in the top division) is going okay - just took another point from Man U - two 1-1s in the same season. Been thrashed by Arsenal and Liverpool - got a respectable 1-0 defeat to Chelsea. Currently 13th in the league - only took 1 win out of the four games after the transfer window.

How is everybody getting on now?

I'm coming to the end of my first season, after a relatively poor start, I was languishing in 7th at the negotiation stage, and knocked out the cup.

Having failed to sign absolutely anybody, I resorted to loans to strengthen my side, signing Kuszczak, Pique, Anderson and Babel to have a solid player from back to front.

This has worked, as I am unbeaten in the second half of the season, 8 wins 2 draws, and am now in second place and promoted (which seemed unbelievable at half way).

Any suggestions for players to sign at the end of the season; before income from friendlies etc I should have about 10,000 to spend.

(Btw - level = Top Player)

With my new loan signings, I managed to string together an impressive 31 points from 13 games, with no defeats. This put me in contention for my first ever chance at the Masters Cup (only ever qualified for the European Championship) - however, it was incredibly close - with four games to go, 4th - 7th places (me, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Sunderland) were all tied on 57 points.

I then succumbed to my second defeat of that half of the season to Chelsea, I had been on top, amazingly, until two late counter attack goals. However, a Macco-inspired 3-1 win over Fulham put me in 6th place, 3 points clear of Portsmouth. And against West Ham, I sneaked the win, with an early Espimas goal being the only one. Portsmouth lost their game, which meant I had qualified, despite losing to Benfica in my final game.

I seem to have repeated my actions in the last transfer window, signing several players on a free, as well as one of my former loanees. On a free, I signed Consigli, Gunter, Camacho, Balde, Ambrosini, Giannokopoulos and Morientes. I also got Whelan on a permanent deal.

Hoping to qualify for Europe again next season, and maybe get a lot further in the cups this year.

Hey. I created my own new team with all the rubbish Master League default players, and a few others:

Azara
Agata
Castro-Tello
and a young keeper who I made renamed, but kept the same stats. Can't remember his original name.

I have just started my second season, and in the transfer windows I bought:

Bianci (a young defender, not the striker. Regen like Gambino) (free)
Gambino (free)
Fabbiani (free)

I also tried to get Obi Mikel on a free but couldn't. It's hard to get players, but I am enjoying the challenge of starting from the bottom and coming up. I just got destroyed by WBA because I had 8 men, but other than that I am 5 games without conceeding.

Hopefully if I get promoted, or even in January window, I can get a few players on loan like Vela.

My tips would be Bianchi, Gambino and Sakho of PSG. Pato is phenominal, but I doubt I'll be able to get him until I've really established myself.

I back up those tips - Bianchi and Gambino are fictional players who turn out great, and on my ML on PES2008, Sakho turns out very good - one of a few players who I signed after 2012 and managed to not look out of place.

Recommended Players:

Johnny Evans, Man Utd, CD: young, cheap to buy and has a good development curve
Birsa, SS: young, cheap to buy, quick and good left foot.
Shubin, Newcomer, SMF: Freebie as a newcomer but has good stamina to last a few games on the trot if your in Div 2 with ML default players
Menez, Monaco?, SS: Awesome development curve and really young so will improve with constant game time!

Just finished my first season with spurs (dont ask why lol)

won the cup, won the league, and all respective awards, execpt for the league best player, which went to arshavin, wanker.

negotiations are hard....its really hard to get decent players :|

oh yeah during the negotiation period, when you can play friendlies, have any of you played that team 'that consists of players with a high defense'

never have i played a more challenging match of pro.

I beat them 1-0. It's fairly challenging - but I found the World Selection (obviously) and the Big Four teams harder, but I suspect this was because of my scared mentality against them - as the season went on I got good results against them.

I finished 1st season. Got Diego, Kazim, Semih and Arshavin on my barça.

I offered 45000 for Ronaldo and he didn't accept... For Walcott, tried 20000 and no luck xD, as well as agbonlahor. Completely forgot about Baloteli, next time I'll get him.

I'm near the end of the 3rd season with Napoli.
I managed to sign Chiellini, Drenthe, Balotelli (pretty good for an 18yr old player).
Also I was in the CL (ml version), after the group stage, I entered the knockout and beat Newcastle 6-0 home and 2-2 away. Balotelli scored 4 or 5 of the goals. That's awesome.
