To me there is a purpose in starting ML with a good team. Experience. Start off by beating opps on Top Player with a good team and then progressively lower your power. Now actually, after playing 3 matches into the new season with Valencia I came back to the default players game. Even D2 is challenging, as I made it consist of Fiorentina, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Lazio, Villareal, Sevilla etc. I'm 3 matches away from the end of first season, 7th place in the league and running a 2-loss streak - to FC Groningen and Aston Villa. Games with Zenit, Fiorentina and Villareal left.

During the mid-season transfer window I released a few of the oldest/weakest players from the team, bought like 5 or 6 youngsters (trying out Kim U Don for the first time, he gains 20~ exp points to his skills even at a loss - immense!; also got Wiart, Griffits (this guy has 65 stamina, ouch), Shubin, Sasaki and Lorenz... that makes six.) and loaned Borriello for 2k~, because I felt it's not an abuse. Just playing some reserve striker who accidentally became the strongest point of my team. I still have to get 1000 points to pay for all my players...

Well I mean the bottom line is always fun factor. If you have fun then that's all that matters... but I feel you gain much more experience with the default guys, cause .. if you can compete with that group then you can certainly whoop some arse with a more powerful squad

You are right, mate, but sometimes I just feel like trashing my pad into the TV screen when those guys do exactly what I don't tell them to. It's awful when two guys are running alongside, I press down and short pass with the one running higher on the screen and what happens? A weak-ass backpass that gets intercepted by any attack-oriented opponent, 1-vs-1 and a goal. Gets annoying after a while really

Oh don't I know it... I guess that''s part of the "challenge" But yeah, I mean, now I'm in season 3 and making a run at promotion... My only original member that still gets playing time is Guiterez... and just thinking about playing with the default ML squad again makes me cry

I think I'm gonna lose it. I have to get 700 points more to pay for my players with two season games (Fiorentina and Villareal... like I could beat either) + pre-season games. Even if I manage to pay for them I will have like 1000 points at the beginning of the next season, not much stronger squad and will get 3 teams relegated from D1 consisting of 4 best teams in each league IMO... Now try to get another 11k to pay them at the end of next season... Guess I'll have to stick with an easier challenge first

Starting a new ML with Napoli last night. Since i don't know the team i put my self in the little mini League instead of the big 20 team League. I love the challenge.

Professional - 10Mins. although I'm gonna up to Top Player.

A few little gems in the team too.

CF - Lavezzi - Only 23 and he has really good stats, very quick too
DMF - Garganbo(I think thats how you spell it) very good player scorers a few long rangers.
CMF - Hamsik - This lad is very good, his only young and has good stats. One for the future.

I love playing with Napoli, i play as a sort of passing team an work my way forward. Then when im defening i wait for them to come to me. Works very well. played 8 games so far this season. Unbeaten in all the games with my top goalscorer being Hamsik(5) although 2 have been free kicks and 1 penalty. good results have been beating PS United 2-0, Zenit St Petersburg 1-0, Sparta Rotterdam, 3-0.

When I get promoted the Italian League waits for me. I can't wait for that.

i just played my first game of the seaon with my defult team was losing 1-0 silly goal conceded where the defence let the man go past and couldnt get in to a tackling posiotion and he just slooted it in the corner then about 5mins later i got a freekick edge of the box i had a long think of what to do sould i shoot or should i pass i decied to slect jaric to kick cause he has a freekick of 85 and took the shot dipped over the wall and in what joy i was in then 3 mins later castollo played a chipped ball over the top to xmilas who was on the right for some reason then turned round on to his favorite left foot croosed in a beautiful cross for castolo to power header home great team work and i won the game 2-1 in the end

Don't give up on it... you can do it. Also put as many of your players as you can up for trade... all you need is one good offer to save your arse. I was offered I think 7,000 or 8,000 for Ruskin, so that helped me a great deal.

Just remember that any player you put on the block is considered to not b e on your squad, so if you don't have enough they won't let you sell him... but it'll tell you that, so if a club makes an offer that you like and you are ok with it just take someone of the trade block so they don't bitch about your numbers.

That sounds like a good win... Yeah Jaric should be taking all your FKs, he is by far the best FK taker on that default squad, and he's actually pretty good no matter what squad you have.

My team is shaping up nicely, and I'm 2 games away from the end of Season 3. I'm hoping to get bumped up this time since I"m in 2nd place with 3 points behind first. We'll see how it goes, but things are good right now. I've replaced almost the entire original team. The only guys that will still play for me from the originals are Guitierez who is actually getting a lot of playing time and Jarick... the rest have been relegated to the bench or hopefully any offer that comes my way to ditch them.

I also got my 1st hat trick!! That was exciting, I laid a 5-0 beatdown on one of the weaker teams... all 5 goals in the 2nd half, its like I opened up the flood gates.

Just started up again with Werder Bremen Love playing with Diego, he is absolute quality in the midfield. Pizarro is handy upfront too. However the defence and pretty much most other players are pretty awful, the midfield can hold up though. Will have to make some signings to bolster the defense, and add some attacking potency

I'm thinking Skrtel, Chikhaoui and Mati Fernandez (purely on the basis that he can do the Tevez roulette)

Second half brought some freshness to my team, I managed to get two corners, after one of them around 70th minute I got the ball with Gutierrez just outside the box, fired in a powershot past the keeper. The rest of the game was a showoff of defensive skills, Gilardino breaking through my defence once or twice though only to be stopped by Kim U Don. I was safe with my points now, game with Villareal went by easily, won 3:1 after 2 superb strikes by Castolo was working wonders and a header by Wiart whom I signed during the window.

Having a nice financial situation I decided to bring in the best player I could from the "No belonging" group, who turned out to be Ben Arfa and pushed Wiart into reserves. I chose Crvena Zvezda, CFR Cluj, African Selection and Asian/Oceanian Selection for my pre-season matches (I usually do a game each odd week of the window) - 2:0 and 3:0 wins over Crvena Zvezda and Cluj respectively, against African Selection I managed to score an early goal, just to see the game equalised by Eto'o (AKA The Turbo-Monkey) just before the whistle. Asian/Oceanian Selection was beaten 3:1 with a consolation goal by Park Chu Young. I also signed M'Bami to play DMF instead of Dodo (trying to keep my squad as young as possible), Beerens to partner Gutierrez as a CF (even though he only has SMF/SS checked AFAIR) and released unused players to lower the overall salary.

With 1,5k on my account after paying all the wages I played two league matches of new season (Villareal, Tottenham and Aston Villa went into D1, Olympique Marseille, AZ Alkmaar and Heerenven got relegated) - scored the only goal against Lazio in a home match and equalised against FC Twente to get 1:1 draw with a superb header by M'Bami. In the D2 cup first match I held off PSG for a goalless draw in an away game, so I'm hoping of winning on my turf - money + more opportunities to make even more money. I'm occupying 4th league position now and throughout the whole season I'll have to get at least 14.3k cash to not get game over Still plenty of time to do it, of course

Excellent! That's why ML is a blast, you squeek by in the offseason and then hope to make the payroll for next season I usually feel ok with 10k in the hole to start the season.... I was like you about 15k in the hole but I managed to win the Cup and get top assist in the cop for some points to get me what I needed, then the first week Ruskin was sold for 7000 and I think I won about 3 of my pre-season games, so I ended up with way more points than I thought I"d have

ive acually havnt got much funds after the season with my players wages and also buying quincy owosu abeyie i have 3300 i of cash not that much or is it and i did score my first hatrick with quincy but that was my old master league that got a game over but im trying to save money and get enough so i dont need to worry about game over but i also wanna win a trophy which i havent done yet but its not easy when u have crap players if i want to keep some i would keep jaric castolo gurtirez and maybe sell them on one day if i get some money that is

Castollo is ok but I think he is pretty old, if I had an offer to sell him i would in a second... but really any offer that's greater than 2000 points I would take for any of the ML original players, since for 1,000 - 1,500 I can get a player that's better and with more potential... 1,500 being the highest I would probably pay for someone like Obinna for example.

I'd say theonly player that I would have a harder time letting go of woudl be Guiterez since he is very good in the air, and I use Obinnia on the wings to bombard the box with crosses... but if I was offered 3,000 + for him I"d do it.

Another thing I try not to do is load up on CFs that can't do anything else... I prefer CFs that can play AMF or at least SS...

But yeah the money thing is tough... I have a serious spending problem Even when I started the season 15,000 in the hole I still picked up a player at the mid season transfer window, I just couldn't resist!! I'd say I was very fortunate to get that offer for Ruskin cause without that I would've been in a bit of trouble.

yeh castolo is getting quite old but guiterez is good but never scored for me in my pervious seaosn thats quite strange but did give me one assist the thing i like about him is he can good stamina he can play about 2-3 games in a row
