yeh castolo is getting quite old but guiterez is good but never scored for me in my pervious seaosn thats quite strange but did give me one assist the thing i like about him is he can good stamina he can play about 2-3 games in a row

He improves pretty well, but surprisingly he is holding more than his own with my current squad... his main asset is the areal attack and the fact that he can outmuscle most defenders on the ball... You gotta feed him though, through the air preferably... he doesn't have the pace for the most part to make things happen on his own, but in a season or two with his stats improving and catching him on a red arrow especially he can be quite deadly.

yeh i can play balls over the top for him to control well and try and shoot for goal which could eithe go in give corner or the keeper just drops the ball for a another player to rebond on by the way i did get an offer from a team for minanda it was in the 1000 so i sold him

Just finished Season 3 in first place, so I get promoted in style :) I had to win my last game which I did 2-1 after giving up an early goal.

I picked up about 4 more guys in the offseason including Kim U Don and now I feel that my squad is ready to take on D1! My current salary is pretty bloated at about 19,000 but I have about 24,000 in the bank right now and believe it or not I think I'm done shopping! :)

I have one more pre-season game before I start the D1 adventures. Wish me luck!

I don't remember all of them... I'll list the entire squad when I get home tonight... I'm very happy with them though, very happy.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but doesn't it defeat the purpose to start out with such a powerful team? I find it much more challenging, and rewarding and entertaining to start out with a crappy team or the ML default and then turn them into a power house...

Once again, if you're having fun then more power to you, I definetely don't mean to upset you, I'm simply just curious. :)

I wanted to be in the English League, and until pro can get the rights for the spurs kit again i was always gonna be either liverpool or man u.

Haven't seen him yet... I picked up Keiser and Bradley though, who have insane potential, so I'm pretty well covered at DMF...

Does Cabye play anything else?

He also plays AMF too he turns into an all round beast :w00t

I'm not sure who i signed him from but i know he is french

Edit: His name is spelt Cabaye and he plays for LOSC LILLE METROPOLE

Yes but you can be Man U or Liverpool with the defaul ML squad :)

Or you could just make the Spurs kit. There will be plenty of tutorials online regarding how to edit certain kits etc, so you could always have a look at them. Downloading Option Files is also a possibility depending on your console, as it's easier to get hold of them and insert the Option Files into a PS3 as opposed to a 360.

Head on over to the Option File section of the forum.

I have finished my second season with my team. I am amazed by how well they've been playing during the second half of the season, not losing even once, having three draws and winning the rest of the games, including trashing LOSC Lille Metropolle 5:1, 3:0 against Fiorentina, 6:1 against Zenit St. Petersburg and so on... It all resulted in winning promotion to D1 straight from the 1st place, which I secured one match from the end of the season by aforementioned win over Fiorentina, finishing 3 points over them after the last game. Did not win any of individual prizes though (one assist down to Montolivo...), but it was still a great experience. I'm after two weeks of the transfer window now, having games set up against Shakhtar Donetsk, Gli Pelati (bald players selection) and World Selection - I wish I will stand a chance against the last team.

My team looks like this (reserves in parenthesis):
GKs: Kim U Don (Van der Sar - reborn)
CBs: Lorenz, Sasaki (Jaric, Baumann, offer for Godin is put)
SBs: El Moubarki, Emanuelson (Giersen, Ruskin)
DMFs: M'Bami (Kaiser - playing him here mostly)
SMFs: Mati Fernandez, Griffiths (Shubin, Macco)
AMFs: Ben Arfa - my lucky charm (Wiart, Fouque)
CFs: Beerens, Sulejmani (Gutierrez, Ordaz)

Having team salary at a level of 19400 I still have 3500 points to spare. I'm still trying to get rid of unused players though (I doubt anyone would buy them, in that case I'm releasing them before the end of the season, which will result in lowering the salary by 1500 or something like that). I wonder what the remaining weeks of the season and the whole new D1 challenge will bring...

D1 is a whole new ballgame. I was shocked to see that there are games every week, including two per week if you have a cup game... so fatigue is the big issue with D1.. but I have a good amount of backups so I'm managing ok. But if you have a thin bench I think you'll have some problems.

So far I'm W2, 2D, 1L and I think in 5th place and also advanced from the first leg of the D1 Cup with a 5-2 aggregate win. So .. so far so good!

I believe my team salary at this stage is 19,000 and I have about 6,000 or so... My popularity is C so I get 1,000 points for every victory. I don't anticipate $$ being an issue any more since there are about 34-40 games in D1 to play. So far I've populated my team strictly from New Commers and Players without a Team... but I might be at a point now where I can venture to get some personal favorite players, Mutu, Chivu, (can't help it, I'm Romanian :)) and also Raphael since I want a fast SB to be on the other side of Gambino.

All in all the team is looking good... I'll post it up shortly.

My bench is doing good enough now, but I still have a few weeks to try and change things. Not much money, but I can throw a few guys away... And so far I haven't brought in a single guy from a group other than Newcomers or No belonging - transfer fees would of course kill me. I wouldn't be so unsure of how will I live in D1 if I didn't make it a very strong league first :p Only time will tell.

What season are you in?

I feel that a good time to strive for promotion is season 3 or season 4.

I feel that my style was too risky in the financial department and I probably should've had game over if the AI didn't miss a PK in the 2nd leg of the semi final cup game in the 90th minute! I couldn't believe it, but the AI missing that PK sent me through to the final which I won, which got me 2,000 points, and also had the top assist which I think was another 1,000 points. Anyway, those points were BARELY enough to keep me out of game over, fortunately a team wanted to buy Ruskin for 7,000 so I was in very good shape after that, but really, I was very lucky to make it through.

But I think if you manage things well and don't overspend and make wise decisions, season 3 or 4 is a good time to make the move to D1.

I finished my transfer windows... Brought in a few new faces, which set my team salary at a level of 22k~. I won the game with Shakhtar by 2:0, struggled against the baldies to get 3:2 as the final score and the game with World Selection was a classy thriller itself. First half was quite boring, I had a few chances and so they had, but nothing really dangerous. Second half started out slowly as well, but in the 65th minute finally something started to happen... After a foul on Macco I had a chance from a penalty, strike by Sulejmani right below surprised Buffon put me in front just to concede a funny goal by Henry to make it even 2 minutes later. They kept pressing on me, forcing me to play defensively when suddenly I saw an opening in their defense, sent a high arc lob over to Beerens who made a run, successfully planting the ball in the net after a simple shot feint which saw Buffon go to the ground... 2:1, a very important win that set my hopes for D1 high. Seeing my team being able to win over potentially the best team in the game raised confidence in the team sky-high. Now, in the very beginning of the new season I have 4500 points on my account, so I have to get at least 18k~ to continue the game into another season. I'll do my best, but the competition will be hard. First few matches seem nice: Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSV in the cup, Tottenham, PSV in the league, AC Milan, AS Roma... That's what you get after messing with the leagues ;]

Just that once... I'd say the Ruskin 7,000 point deal really propelled my team ahead of schedule.. I was able to acquire 4 or 5 players for that amount that were far better than Ruskin.

So theoretically speaking I shouldn't really have been in this situation, so I feel as if I"m ahead of schedule simply because of that unexpected deal. I should check in on him and see how he's doing :)

Yeah I think you should target season 3 as the promotion season... I mean unless your winning the D2 cup in both seasons and getting top scorrer and top assist in at least the cup or something...

I mean someone can be so good at the game that they can probably get promoted in season 1 with great tactical play, but surviving in D1 with taht sh1t team from teh ML defaults.. ouch, that would be tough.

when i played the world slection team last seaon i lost 8-0 conceed in the first min Ronaldo got a hatrick in the end owen scored ibrahimovic scored cant remember who else but im shit at those games

and yeh i think u need a lot of funds to buy players in the off season to be ready for the D1 leaague or it will be a relegation battle but that would seem fun though
