Does the AR Max say it is compatible with PAL or NTSC consoles? What does it say on any of the disks that come with it? No info in the manual?

Dear Sir

Further to your email you would need the latest version of the Max drive disc which is version 1.36, the version number is on the underside side of the disc towards the centre.

I've been trying to load up the option files onto my PS2, but on the Browser screen, in the memory cards it appears as a blue 'x-port' file, and in the game, the new option file is not recognised. Now I'm using a Max Drive and I've been careful to download the right ones so what is going wrong? (do i have to unzip the files before i download them? if yes, do i need winzip and where can i get it from?)

Yes i think you do need winzip youll find it in the right threads;)
or you could search google?

my maxdrive (xbox) is not working so i cant put the optionfile onto ma xbox . the md software does not recognise my maxdrive says the usb device failed to enumerate can someone tell me how to fix this

For the PS2 version you don't actually need to use the software.
Just stick the max drive into the usb port and double-click on My Computer and see if you can see a new Removable Drive there. Then just paste the file you want into there. I assume it'll be the same for yours.

no it doesnt come up a removeable drive but i got it working thanx for helping tho . do you know how to download files from the maxdrive onto ma pc

please could some 1 help i read 7_ronaldo's very helpful post about how to use the max drive usb and basically i dragged the option file to my max drive file and when i go to uncrush the max drive on the ps2 it says no files to uncrush i cant seem to be able to get these up un the ps2?

Did you drag the .max file or the .zip file?
I do not drag files. I always click Copy and then Paste it into the other folder. Try pasting the .max file into the max drive and try it then.

yeah i tried to paste and it dint make a difference i downloaded the winzip as well that didnt make a diff either i stick the usb in and its there only when i plug it into ps2 its dosnt have any files loaded. thanks and if any1 can help me please do

You need to post here the full and complete name of the file you are trying to transfer, including the . extension.

Dunno if I missed something in this thread but i've been having problems with the write protection on the max drive. It won't let me remove the write protection and because of this, I can't drag and drop files or format the drive.

Can anyone help?

i have tried to do what ronaldo has said but it didnt work, when i put the max drive into usb it says it has installed etc, but there isnt a drive with it, when i put the cd in i cant install it due to the ms-dos error w/e that is
plz help thanks
