My problem: After I turn on the game, and make an exhibition,
suddenly (in a random minute), the game freezes, and you can see these blue and yellow rectangles over the freezing picture of the game..
I couldn't get you a screenshot, because it made my computer stuck as well, so I needed to reset it..
It happens to me almost every time, and I dont know why, help me :(
My PC:
Intel Core 2 Quad -=Stepping G0=-
Corsair 2048MB (1024x2) 800Mhz
BFG 8800GT 512MB OC2
Gigabyte P35-DS3L
Windows XP Professional

hi guys just was wondering if you guys have the same problems.this is the first time ive bought pes for the pc.the first problem is ive got no crowd in any of the games. the second problem is to do with the pitch,its the same graphic all the time,is this normal?third problem is the gameplay,it plays so different compared to the pes 2 version,its far easier.fourth problem is the patch from konami does absoloutely nothing to help fix the game.

I have PES2008 and when i go to play it, the game starts ok but then when i start the match....after i score one goal the game gets stuck and in the ned i have to END process
...so i can only play without scoring....

Can someone please help?

Hi, i've got a problem, when trying to install the game I get the error message "info 1625 Operation forbidden by system cryteria"
I really don't have a clue about what causes the problem, may this be because one of the partitions of my hard disk is in FAT32 format and not NTFS ?
I didn't find anyone having the same problem as me .. I'm trying to install it on a Windows XP.

Hi don.
I have a problem in first use of PES2008.
I had dll problem(first d3dx9_30 and second d3dx9_27), so I downloaded them from www.dll-files.com
I had the shader problem, but with kit server it solved.
Now when I run the game, a black screen appear and windows report says:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
and I have one choice and that is "close".
What I can do?

Hi,

I purchased the game last week and it ran superbly for the first day or two, but I've run into a serious problem since then. When I either select the "Play" option from the Autorun menu or click on the Shortcut for the game, the spinning disc icon comes up followed by a blank window with PES2008 in the Title Bar. This is fine as this is how things would start earlier.

Now for whatever reason it stops there and instead of simply opening up as normal, the title bar says "Not Responding" and nothing happens from there. If I uninstall the game and reinstall it again, everything works fine but as soon as I turn the laptop off, I encounter the same problem.

It's extremely frustrating as it basically means I need to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to play the game.

I'm using:

ASUS G1 Laptop
Core 2 Duo
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
2048GB RAM
nVidia Go7700 graphics card.

I've tried running it in Windowed mode and that helped once, but immediately after it resorted to the usual problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. From your setup I'm assuming you play lots of other games so can't see it being a case of your card overheating. Could try running Scandisk (the most thorough test you can select) and defragmenting to see if it helps at all though I'm not sure it will in this case.

Depends on the spec of your PC. It sounds as though you're having to play on the low detail setting, either because you're in Vista or because your card isn't deemed good enough to play the game on medium or high.

I'd make sure you have the most up-to-date drivers for your graphics card, scan for disk problems (the thorough test if you are given an option) and also defragment the drive before trying again.

Never heard of that but you rarely come across anyone using FAT32 these days so I'd have to start with that being an issue in the first instance.

I'd uninstall the game and then try to reinstall it. The DLL files you've downloaded may be older, incompatible versions. Installing again may update them. Aside from that, try and run without kitserver using the low graphic detail and see if you can replicate the problem. If not, kitserver or one of the dll files is causing a problem.

I have absolutely no idea. Try to ensure you've got the most up-to-date graphics drivers for the card and you can try running Scandisk as well as defragmenting your drive but I'd be incredibly surprised if that worked. Worth a try though.

To run Scandisk (in Vista...should be virtually the same in XP), right-click on your drive from My Computer, click Properties, click Tools and then click "Check Now" in the Error-Checking section.

I have the same problem as Itaybm2. The game freezes randomly and you can see blue and yellow rectangles over the freezing picture of the game... and then i have to reset my computer. I dont have an overheating problem because my other games work perfectly and the GPU and CPU never gets over 55°C. I noticed that if I turn graphics to low detail the problem dissapeares (not well tested yet. Only played two games). As I can see in settings.exe file the low detail is DirectX 8.1 compatible, but medium and high are DirectX 9... Maybe there could be a problem.

Italybm2...try with low detail settings and report how it went.

My PC:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Patriot 4GB DDR2 (I used the kitserver patch for 4GB systems)
XFX 8800GT 512MB
Asus P5KC

Stupid question maybe, but when i click on Network it wants me to log in. I don't have an online account yet, so I want to create one. Where can I do that as the network login page in PES2008 doesn't show any link to an account creation internetpage....??

Hey # looked on a couple of forums and could not see this problem, after adding real kits and some new faces some times my game just freezes for a second but in master league while I am checking other players in the transfer market etc it stops responding

Can't install patch

I'm trying to patch PES2008 to 1.20 but when I click the exe I get the message '1628: failed to complete the installation'.

Anyone else getting this, how do you fix it?

If you're on the administrator's account it shouldn't be giving you the problem in the first instance. That message is usually linked to insufficient priveliges on a user account.

Hi there, I have PES 2008 installed on my PC but I CANT play it.
I double click the shortcut and until the main menu all runs fine, when I try to go beyond the game freezes and then I get a message telling that my graphic driver stopped working.
Something like "The driver nv4_disp has stopped working ... etc". I already tried a lot of different graphic cards and everytime I get the same error or whatever is that.
3 months ago right after the game was launched I could play it very well but then suddenly it stopped working.
It only happens with PES 2008 since I also play other games here and never happened anything like it.

Small edit: I have a nVidia GeForce 6600 256mb.

Heeeeelp!!!! I bought Pro Evo 2008 on the day it came out but I still can't play it all these months later.

I've installed everything, but when I try to start the game it gives me this message: Warning: your computer does not match the minimum specifications necessary to run this software. You may experience errors during operation. The video card does not have the necessary specifications (Vertex/Pixel shader 1.x)

My pc spec:

AMD 64 X2 4200+
2gb Ram
Geforce 8600gt 512mb

I read on another forum that someone had the same problem, and somebody else replied that the graphics card was probably too old and needed to be updated. THIS IS BULLSH*T!!

I have an older pc with an amd athlon 2400+, with 512mb ram and a Geforce fx 5200 128mb, which is obviously a lot worse than my new pc. However, the game does actually run on this old system, but only on very low settings, but i dont get any error messages at all.

PLEASE HELP... THIS IS DRIVING ME MAD

Please read the very first post in this thread - two sections, both mentioning Kitserver.

Anyone telling you the 8600GT is crap and needs upgrading should be shot. It isn't exactly the best gaming card available but its still fairly recent and would only perhaps have trouble on the highest setting at a large resolution.

Thanks, the error message is now gone - but I still get a blank window and a message saying: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 has encountered a problem and needs to close, etc etc

Any suggestions?
