Why don't you try the Demo version?

Do as Darien said. In some games it isn't necessarily true but the PES demo seems to behave exactly the same as the game. I personally think you'll experience problems.

Hey people, I guess PES2008 is working ok with me, but I simply can not start a Master League game....when I select New Game it keeps on loading and loading for minutes without something happening..anyone who knows why?

online problem

hi, when playing pes 2008 online, when i create a room, i get a single red bar appear, other players seem to get a pitch logo. does this mean i have a bad connection as i get 3 green bars on the left hand side of my room name.

people then proceed to bomb me out of there rooms, as if i have the plague.

The pitch means people are using their saved formation(dunno why Konami thinks people have to know if i'm using my saved formation or not!). Dunno about the red bar but i am curious about that too. And also the other day there was another sign which was kinda orange color and I don't know what that means either. Anyone?

The game works fine in exhibition but when I start a game in
master league the game is freezing for 20-30 seconds and again freezing in half time and in after every replay.

Hey guys,i need some advice if possible.

I was freely editing my cv_0 with updated kits and the corresponding fonts to match last weekend and i somehow managed to increase the reserved space in a particular font bin too much.Don't ask why,i just lost track of what i was doing somehow.

Anyway i ended up having the problem where the game would crash on start up,during the black loading screen.I couldn't even run it as admin.So what i did was a fresh install deleting the save files beforehand.It works when i run as admin now but when i re-open the cv_0 in ggs it still has all the kits,emblems,fonts etc that i imported on it rather than the default files.

I started up the game but everything was default,despite ggs telling me that all my original imports were still there.I tried importing the same files over the same bins but the change still doesn't show.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm at a loss on this one

Well, I've installed PES08 one day ago and tried to play it.

At the beggining it was all cool, High Graphics with no lag... no problem. But, suddently, my screen turns blue and with white letters was written there something like: "Your computer will shut down (...) If this is the first time you see this screen reboot and try again (...)".

I've a nVdia Geforce 8600GT (not with the latest driver, I saw the changelog and there wasn't anything realted to my problem so I ignored it).

This problem happened to me a few months ago with the nVidia 6600GT while playing Trackmania Nations, but the problem was solved... don't remember how, really.

If anyone has any ideia on how to help me, please say it >.<,

im thinkin u might facing a harddisk problem,try chkdsk by start-run-chkdsk to see if there's something need to b fixed.hope that chould help

played fifa for almost ten years, bought this because of ea's terrible servers, ive now had the game a week and still cant play online! Im guessing its konami...ive read all the posts here, followed all instructions and still no joy. I can log in, see the rooms, create a room but dam it I cant play.....Back to fifa me thinks!!

buy pes 6, you'll never play fifa again !

oh btw, games been running fine for days but now on a random goal bein scoed the games crashes to desk top!!! baaaaa, anyone else havin troubles like this?

Ok I think I figured out what those icons mean when playing online.

Green pitch --- Means you or your opponent loaded the formation data
Orangish icon --- Master league data is loaded
Little red bar --- Means the other side or maybe you, are playing the game in ''low'' settings.

I have seen the game being played with low graphics and I wanted to know how I could play the game or download something to reduce the level of graphics so that it can work.

i had the same problem but if you ignore the message, the game runs anyway. And if yu use the kitserver yu can force the game to run at medium detail
see page 1 for details

My problem is that although the kitserver greatly improved my game greatlt, the game runs quite fast despite having v sync ticked. Plus my celebrations etc run in slow mo,

Don't have vertical sync enabled, it seems to make the game run supremely fast.

Online now says as from today it has resolved all the online issues, I still cannot play online lol. Ive had about 4hrs gametime without getting into one match! Obviously people are playing but how?? Im at my wits end updating drivers, disabling 1394 connection, using zone alarm then comodo then windows firewall lol, Ive played other games online no problem but THIS! please any help would be appreciated!

err, i bought a wired 360 controller today, i only had the wireless ones,and when i plug it in via usb it says it needs software to install the new hardware, when i ignore it the pad doesn't work. I asked the guy at CEX and he said its usb plug in play like any other pc pad and i bought it on that presumption. I dont get why it doesn't work simply by me plugging it in. Even if i go to settings and select direct input it doesn't register.
Anyone got any idea whats wrong?

Vista = no drivers required as they built in the drivers into the OS. Using Windows Update you will find an updated version of these drivers for download. I can confirm this all to be true as I'm using the controller in Vista x64.

XP = you need to download the appropriate drivers - should be available via Windows Update.

when i ignore it my laptop just crashes. a blue screen appears telling me to restart. I was able to play PES 6 last year perfectly fine so i dont think my graphic card is that bad.
