If I understand correctly it seems that the 340 kit slots are for 2048x2048 images. If you use 1024x1024 kits they will half a slot each, and 3 kits per team would mean a total of 1,5 slots. This would let us use 1024x1024 textures in approx. 226 teams.
This doesn't make much sense though. An image with half the side's size would have 1/4 of the original's area, and therefore around 1/4 of it's file size (I guess). Why would the game consider 1024x1024 images just half of 2048x2048?
